Smart hotel, location worked really well for us as we were going to Kings Theatre and The Hydro. Very helpful staff. The offer/incentive to swap room clean on middle night for a complimentary drink was very good.

Bed a bit small, duvet big/heavy and clingy. No electric point beside bed ( I use a ventilatir) but hotel happily provided an extension cable

Great location ! Helpful friendly staff . Comfy bedding and towels and toiletries

No water in the room . Sink plug didn’t work so water wouldn’t drain . Told staff who made a note to get fixed so dealt with well

No walk in shower in room , breakfast was not good cheap bacon , poached eggs were hard , the boiled eggs which come with toast to dip inside the eggs were hard yokes,

Room 553 was very nice had an upstairs (mezzanine level bedroom).

Room very small even upgraded for a bigger room. Used stay in Malmaison often and was so excited to come back. Unfortunately didn't impress me.

Just a quick stay and didnt book breakfast but it was lovely. Girl on desk on arrival was very helpful but i didnt catch her name .

Room comfortable and fine. Small inconvenience….outside room- narrow corridor busy with trolleys - next to service lift. Room service Dinner and good breakfast experience.

Breakfast was excellent and a room upgrade was appreciated upon arrival.

There was no staff on reception at arrival and I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone assisted. The receptionist did explain there was an incident and that's why he was away. Plus, I left an item in the room and when I called the hotel to ask if housekeeping had found it in the room, I was on hold for nearly 20 minutes getting through to reception and then was greeted by a snippy and very unhelpful person.

Good price and excellent location, staff very friendly and efficient. Will stay again

Rooms need updating

Situated just a short walk to the City Centre so far enough away not to be disturbed by the usual city noise. Reception staff were first class both when checking in and out. Room was well appointed and the bed super comfy. Would happily stay again on a future overnight stay.

Friendly staff, clean environment with great breakfast. However in the standard king room we stayed in there was no lamp/different lighting options. The room comprised of 3 bright LED spot lights in the ceiling and they played havoc with my eyes. A bed side lamp/dimming option would be good going forward.

The staff were excellent - particularly during the day when I was using the bar area. A few suggestions:- 1. The basin and toilet were positioned in such a way that I was too far away from the mirror in the bathroom and couldn’t really see properly when shaving. 2. The food was tasty. Not sure why you don’t serve peanuts or crisps in the bar.

Very comfortable hotel conveniently located to central Glasgow. Breakfast was either continental or cooked fresh to order and was very good quality.

Not sure why all Glasgow Eateries insist on mood lighting so you can read the menus or see your food. Its breakfast not a date!! Turn the lights on.

Bed was comfortable and a good size, pillows also comfortable. I liked the mini bar although a pack of crispas was past it's use by date. The vending machine and umbrella rental were bot great ideas.

Toilet bowl had remnants of previous guest and there was a hair on the seat. the room was quite 'tired' and some areas were damaged and it really needs a refurbishment. Felt quite tired to look at.

The room was missing a few little things like water, slippers and the soaps / shower gels were not of a great quality, lets the otherwise great hotel down a little bit.

We didn't have breakfast. We liked the offer to trade the room being cleaned for a drink at the bar. One or two things in the room didn't work as well as the might (the extractor fan in the bathroom and the towel rail). My wife liked the bed but I found the pillows too soft and thin.

Pillow choice. Bed felt a little short though that may be my imagination :-)

A beautiful building from the outside and quirky on the inside. Great bar area and lovely brasserie.

No bottled water in the room. Most hotels supply water in room. But apart from that it was good. The rooms are a little dark even with light.

Good location - for (longish) walks to Kelvingrove park, Town Centre etc. Bed excellent, Restaurant was good for a long holiday weekend

Love the interior of the place so different to the Edinburgh one and staff go above and beyond and are very knowledgeable aswell. The food is amazing and worth having while u stay,lovely continental breakfast and a wide range to choose from

The only few issues I had with the room was shower would go cold from time to time and not enough shelving or cupboard space for clothes and the smell of pee in toilet now n again aswell we did have a small standard room but has potential for more space for clothes

As late arrivals we found Dominic on the night desk was extremely friendly and helpful during check in and the following night.

Cold inside. I had to turn the radiator on in the room, and the bathroom didn't warm up. Wardrobe poorly designed and filled with extraneous stuff, little room for clothes.

Windows didn’t open, room got quite hot and stuffy very fast, no fan or air con supplied, couldn’t find a fan distracter for shower which made the full room steamy and very hot after a shower. First time staying left the building for fresh air at 11pm didn’t know it was key card access and staff was speaking to me through door wouldn’t open door for me until I told him my name and room number.

Quirky building- really unique. Lovely cosy room, bath was deep and boiling hot. Great offer where instead of having the room cleaned, you could have a free drink at the bar instead, which is a great idea- especially from an environmental perspective. The bar was cosy with a good range of drinks.

Parking at the multi-story was expensive.

Great location, clean hotel. Got upgraded to a club room on arrival. The old girl is looking a bit worn but it was exceptionally clean and the staff were great!

Discovering Scalding hot water running through both the cold and hot water taps was a bit of a shock but staff dealt with it appropriately.

Gorgeous boutique-feel hotel in quieter area near the heart of the city. Staff were perfect. Beds very comfortable. The bar had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and wasn't busy or loud (during a trip Jan/Feb) and served superb cocktails. House toiletries lovely. Everything looked well maintained. We could opt out of daily towel-refresh to be a little more eco-friendly (and receive a benefit - I'll leave that one to be a nice surprise for you). Tea making facilities in room. Prices in Jan/Feb weren't hugely different to other city hotels - so booking Malmaison was an easy choice. Top tip: shop around online for parking about 10min walk South near motorway.

No extractor fan in en suite, leaving the mirrors foggy. Even with cooler Jan/Feb weather, on our second night the room was a bit warmer overnight than I'd have liked. No decaf teabags with tea making facilities.

not enough pillows, one pillow isn't enough on the bed, our bathroom door needed forcing shut or it just popped open. the aesthetic of malmasion is dark and trendy - and it is nice but we joked our bedroom looked like a teenage boys because of the dark walls with graffiti art on the walls!
