The Bonham Hotel, Edinburgh

Fantastic stay at the Bonham, can’t fault it at all, lovely rooms, friendly staff, excellent location and delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend and hope to return again soon.

The property was very comfortable and all staff were welcoming. The attention to detail throughout the whole property was outstanding. We had a wonderful room with a view across Leith, wish made our stay perfect.

Nothing could have been better

The hotel looks and feels very grand. We were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and all the staff we met were very polite and friendly. Our first morning we had an early excursion and didn’t have time for breakfast and the two ladies working in the breakfast room quickly arranged a small hamper of fruit and selection of pastries and coffee for us which was very nice.

An amazing building. Our Junior Suite is probably the nicest room we have stayed in.

This property did not disappoint! From the location, the beautifully done lobby, and the room. It was perfect!

The Bonham was the greatest surprise. Of all the places we stayed in London and Edinburgh, it the was the best! The decor is stunning! And the staff were over the top hospitable. I was especially fond of the long bearded gent who gave us a glowing review of the owners. He really loves his job! And who wouldn’t.

Beautiful property, comfy beds. Our room was really lovely and overlooked the city. The staff were amazing and spoilt my husband as it was his 70th birthday. We had birthday balloons, chocolates and a glass of bubbly from staff! Breakfast was lovely too, really yummy and in beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. Absolutely stunning hotel. Also within easy reach of the centre and surrounding area. Perfect location as it was away from the hustle and bustle so it was quiet but then you coujd get to everything with a 10 minute walk! Perfect!

Exceptional breakfast choice and quality, in a lovely setting. The room quality, including bed and everything on it, luxurious and tasteful. Staff were very welcoming, professional and personable. I appreciated the service of bringing my luggage to the room at check in, whilst I was out and about. Also, I was given complimentary glasses of fizz that I would've taken advantage of, if not a tea-totaller.

Very pleasant stay. Room was compact but really comfortable. Good facilities and terrific friendly staff.

Everything was exceptional. Particularly light they had boiled sweets at reception and the rooms were very comfortable and a decent size well maintained or not worn.

I think more waste paper baskets could've been supplied in the room would it be nice to have more coffee pods and arrange snacks available. Location was a little bit too far from the centre but still walked. Breakfast I felt was a little bit overpriced. Would it be nice to have a heaters and covered area where one could actually smoke?

Amazing place and very friendly informative staff! The breakfast was lovely and the hotel was exceptional, We will be returning. The hotel was clean and had lots of lovely quirky characteristics.

Nice hotel, but there are a few details that could be improved: you need to push the room door with force, or it won’t lock properly—in fact, it doesn’t lock at all unless pushed firmly. The TV isn’t mounted quite straight—it has a slight tilt on the wall. Not major, but noticeable. The safe box and fridge are not secured to the shelves, so when you pull the door, the entire fridge or safe box moves with it.

We stayed at The Bonham for two nights. The décor is beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive. The bedrooms are comfortable and luxurious. We had breakfast both morning, there is a great choice on the meu and the portions were very generous. The bar is excellent and I can recommend the Margaritas. A super stray.

It was clean and comfortable hotel and the location was also near the town. Breakfast also was very good.

Incredible stay, room was immaculately clean, staff friendly yet professional (clearly well trained). The bar and restaurant areas were super relaxing. great location in west end and everything you could think of in room including dyson fan and roberts radio plus gorgeous face and body gels and shampoo etc

Excellent breakfast, beautifully cooked and presented. Room service late night sandwich was more than I was expecting and very tasty. The hotel is stunning in decor, and very helpful staff in reception. A wonderful stay and will definitely go again.

The service at breakfast was slow and a bit haphazard, very tasty food and didn’t mind waiting as freshly prepared, but we weren’t told about the juices, fruit & yoghurt selection so we missed out on that. Coffee wasn’t very hot but brought a jug of hot water when asked.

Fantastic hotel in a beautiful street. The room was spacious, elegant and spotless. The whole experience was great. The afternoon tea with delicious. But best of all the staff; from Liz at customer service to everyone else: extremely professional and making you feel welcome and at your service. Thank you. We will be back.

Beautiful property. Excellent room and good price. Only criticism is car parking is £20 which considering it’s a private car park belonging to hotel is a bit steep.

It was grand looking and yet very welcoming. The road is quiet and yet a short walking distance from the centre. The staff were amazing and friendly- it made our first time to Edinburgh very special.

This was my 3rd stay at the Bonham since Christmas. The service is exceptional, the rooms are stunning, if you’re looking for a luxurious stay the Bonham wont disappoint. The cocktails in the bar are fabulous too!

Great position in Edinburgh. Lovely hotel. The decor and ambiance of the hotel is 5 star. Good breakfast. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. Water chilling in the fridge in the room which was a good idea.

Bed a bit hard and no plug socket near mirror for hairdryer and £20 for parking but overall the hotel is a 5 star hotel.

Old school styling, elegant, and very comfortable within a short walk from the main attractions.

The opulence, the chandelier in the bedroom, the location... what was there not to like!

The heat in the bedroom was stifling, with none of the radiators on. Thankfully there was a Dyson fan to cool down with.

Everything at the Bonham was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was updated, beautiful and the comfort level was superb! The staff were all lovely.

It wasn't in the center of things, but we had physical issues which prevented a great deal of walking.

Very attentive and proactive staff members made my stay more comfortable. Beddings were so high quality. I loved that there was a bathtub. Food was exceptional as well(a la carte lunch).

The property’s location is a bit far from city centre. But the location made Bonham hotel quiet and serene.
