The lift wasn’t working when we went….

Beautiful decor, polite and friendly staff, comfy beds, great food and excellent location. The suite was bright and spacious.

The lift was out of order but that didn’t affect us greatly!

Good location. We loved the classic feel of this hotel and the tasteful decor. Our King Superior room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient.

The lift was undergoing work during our visit but this didn’t cause us any problem.

Elegant renovation of mansion in excellent location. Good bar and restaurant. Staff very proud to share their knowledge of the history of the house and the art collection.

One of our rooms were on the lower ground and it was very noisy from the bar / dining area above at night. Parking cost seems quite steep given the price of the rooms.

It was very luxurious and spotlessly clean

Enjoyed everything except would have liked car parking to be free on a first come first served basis

Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Same room as I had the last time, no complaints, clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent and service very efficient. Location is central and also car park facilities at the back of hotel.

No charge point facility and access out of car park tight.

Everything! Beautiful hotel.

We had breakfast on one morning only. I thought £26 was extremely expensive. I had continental at £20 which again for a cup of tea, a bowl of Greek yogurt, fruit, 1 piece of ham, 1 piece of salami and 1 square of cheese again was expensive. But apart from that everything is wonderful.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were polite and helpful. It is value for money and the breakfast was first class.

The mattress was too hard for our liking and felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Next time we will ask if they have rooms with softer mattresses. The elevator was out of order and we were on the top floor. An inconvenience but it was something they were working on, so just misfortune that it was when we were staying.

The breakfast could be much better, not for the food that was good but the service needs to be improved and also to have better waiters for sure, the lift was broken so I had to go on the third floor by the stairs
