Ocean Mist Leith, Edinburgh

The Ocean Mist is a completely unique boutique hotel. We loved what they have done with the restoration - a floating piece of history indeed! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A private parking space can be booked.

A very pleasant change to normal hotels.

No much. Very good. If I was to be picky, maybe that i had a lower deck room (under water), but for the money, so what. It was very good.

It was fine but seating arrangement not very comfortable for eating.. seats to low and table too small.

Quirkiness, great breakfast especially the almond croissants.

Room slightly too warm despite trying to adjust temperature.

The staff were fantastic and so welcoming. The room was lovely and, though small , it was cleverly planned out and the attention to detail was superb. The bar was amazing and also a great space for breakfast. Couldn't fault The Ocean Mist and we look forward to our next stay.

Beautifully adapted to a luxurious stay. Definitely an experience more than just somewhere to stay.

There isn’t a load of space to dine on and have a drink. But it’s a boat. Some things you have to deal with.

the bar upstairs was great, the room was very clean, very spacious for being in a boat.

maybe the lack of a hot breakfast, but I knew this when i booked.

Unique and beautifully designed with very lovely crew.

If you have much luggage, there is little space for storage in the rooms. Obviously this is due to the nature of the uniqueness of staying on a ship.

The concept is ideal, renovation of a 1919 built ship has been done flawlessly. The current owners have been able to keep the ship authentic and yet modify the design to suit the call for individual en-suite accommodation which is very comfortable. The owners and staff are wonderful and friendly. We will definitely be going back to visit.

I like being on the water, the neighborhood, the decor, the breakfast, the bathroom.

It is a lovely different and uniquely place to stay handy to both buses and trams for easy access around Edinburgh.

All aspects of our visit were excellent. The room was first class. Drinks brilliant and breakfast being "not the full Scottish" was most enjoyable..

Difficult to find something negative to say about our visit.

Beautiful location, lovely property. The staff, owner, and family were warm, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. It was great to sit out on the deck and relax.

It’s a lovely hotel in a great setting. Very comfortable and with some exceptional staff who will make you feel special

No television was a bit of a shock😂. A couple of the staff were disappointing. Of course they had a very high standard to reach. Public rooms were small so it could get a bit crowded and noisy.

Beautiful decor, lots of attention to detail, comfortable beds, lovely staff.

Just a small thing, the breakfast area was a bit small and got crowded very quickly, had to queue a bit for the self service system.

Love, love, love Ocean Mist. What a fabulous unique hotel. The staff were brilliant making a special effort to decorate the room after I had let them know we were celebrating a Birthday. The breakfast was ideal a great continental spread and our suite perfect. It is super easy to use the tram to get in and out of the centre and Leith is lovely to wander around with lots of independent stores. A magical long weekend.

We liked everything about the boat. Excellent breakfast, really good location.

It’s not a criticism but the bar is open to non residents so gets pretty busy. We came back 9pm after a meal out and couldn’t get in , all the seats were taken.

Location and character

The location and the style. Genuinely felt like a Agatha Christie death in the Nile setting. Was a genuine novel.

The air conditioning was a little low power. And the shower had some signs of miss repair. But over all was perfect for a weekend escape.
