Lovely property, good for temple bar but a little further out of main area. Staff perfectly fine. Lovely room!

Room, spacious with 2 seats & small table. Old fashioned decor but we liked that, especially in the bathroom. Room was warm, bed very comfortable. Check in was easy with the receptionist very helpful & pleasant. Very close to lots of bars & restaurants.

Nothing of any real issue. Didn't affect us but channels on tv not great just Rte & Virgin. Some switches didn't seem to work but again had no impact on our experience. .

It’s homely. The staff are top class. Can’t do enough for you.

The reception staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help. Fantastic location with a great restaurant on site. Attention to detail in the room was excellent, with a lovely walk in shower with complementary toiletries.

The bartender in the lounge bar was super rude and unfriendly. Seemed to find his guests annoying and would rather be on his phone. Kind of spoiled the overall experience.

The reception staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was quiet and warm.

The bathroom was a little shabby but was very clean.

Very nice restaurant. Flexible to accommodate special requests, No hassle at the check in check out. if you need you can easily find a staff member 24/7 to help you.

It is a bit noisy around at night from the nearby bars.

We had 2 single beds but small 5hings like only one shower cap etc not a big deal but just pointing it out

Gorgeous decor and design throughout the hotel and room I was given. Really impressive staff at reception. Laid back, quietly efficient and good vibes. Large bed in room was fantastic and spacious room I was given with terrace overlooking Temple bar was a real surprise. Great coffee machine in room too. Loved the large antique bathroom sink and power shower. And the big oak doors have a reassuring close on outside corridor noise.

Small tv high on wall - maybe just that room as stayed in hotel in past and don’t remember that in other rooms - but not overly important as hardly watched it. Nothing hotel can do but temple bar venues can get noisy late on Thursday till 2am (midnight Wednesday) but the generous 12pm checkout compensates and is perfect. There was a generator noise from outside maybe from temporary works going on.

Relaxed but efficient

The on site restaurant had no atmosphere. The service was poor. The food was not stunning a limited menu.

Lovely room

The overall atmosphere, the breakfast room, the foyer, and quirkiness of the room, the fact that I could open my window and that it was not too warm. Some of the staff were absolutely lovely (very kind gentleman who helped with our cases and ordered us a taxi), others were a little cooler and less welcoming, but overall the welcome and staff were very good.

Could probably do a little more on energy saving in corridors etc

Large rooms and close to the city

We had 2 rooms booked at this property. Rooms 508 and 506. 508 were perfect no problems, beautiful and comfortable. The location was perfect, the staff were extremely friendly.

506 however was unhygienic, my friends sent me pictures of dark hairs left in the bathtub in the room, which I have a photo of. We paid good money to stay in the hotel for the night and this was unacceptable and poor.

I love The Clarence because of its brilliant location and gorgeous original architectural features. It isn't hi-tec but the design features make up for that. The Stout Bar is also a great place for a pint.

Some features in the bathrooms etc are showing their age but everything worked well. The night club can also be loud on a Saturday night though the double windows on our room kept the noise to a minimum.

We got a rally agreeable price on this stay for two nights so it was worth the outlay to stay somewhere so nice and so welllocated. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a nice bathroom and an amazing shower. The bar has a great atmosphere and plenty of space, there’s a. Cocktail bar attached and the dining experience is wonderful;. We had breakfast one of the mornings in a lovely, light room and we had our evening meal there too. I had a beautiful steak and my partner had a wonderful beef ragu. The location is great, there’s a cool bar with a comedy club next door and plenty of places to eat and drink within 5 minutes, the hotel is right on the water front and I’m a superb location. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is amazing for a modern, luxurious but not fussy and obscenely expensive stay. Well worth a visit.

Overall the stay was amazing but there is no room based temperature control. I asked about turning off the heat and that helped but there was no adjustment on the radiator without tools. We opened the windows which also helped buton a Saturday night you can hear noise through the walls and the windows from the neighbouring bars and clubs.

Location right on the quays. Now sister to Dean hotel so you know the vibe.

We had a newly refurshised room which was quite small and on the first floor. Window backed out into closed courtyard. Have stayed in better rooms. The shower leaked and really it wasnt as nice as it could have been.

Very central location. Easy walk to all you'd want to explore. Nice lobby bar for drinks and beatifully decorated for the season. Nice room.

Lobby bar could have had additonal staff for the holiday season. Lobby bar and area would get a bit of blast of wintery wind each time the front doors were opened. Entry could do with an additional set of doors to prevent this. Room quiet but could hear the sound of ventilation outside (not disturbing though). Room nice but a little shabby in parts. Room had no AC/Heating control other than turning the radiator on/off.

What an Iconic Hotel. Beautiful decor and friendly check in staff. Room was spacious with a thumping shower room. Was very quiet for a central hotel. The bar was great. Quiet as it was Sunday. Loved the place

Wasnt aware they have such good options for breky and we went out. Should have stayed.

Everything was good

Checked in Monday checked out Thursday room was not checked in the four days. No Coffee or milk or towels replaced.

The room was excellent and really well finished, really liked the small seating area with couch and TV.

There was quite a lot of noise from the pub next door and the beer garden section outside our window.

Staff were amazing. So helpful and kind. Wonderful suite that was super spacious. Great location.

Suite is a little dated but still really nice.

We got a free upgrade to a suite which was a pleasant surprise

Lovely staff, stylish bar and reception. Warm and cosy. Rooms and bathroom a tad dated, but still good.

Great location, decent sized & comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly.

The heating is controlled centrally and comes on for a short period in the evening. The room felt a bit chilly when I checked in mid-afternoon, but there was no was to warm it up.

Helpfulness of staff

The room was quite large, and the bed was very comfortable. The location with a view of the river and just around the corner from the lively Temple Bar area can't be beat.

Some of the outlets didn't function and the overhead lights were erratic. It wasn't really a problem because the bedside lamps worked well. A curved shower rod would also be nice.

Superb location, near the best pubs in Dublin. Stunning hotel and furnishing, nice and helpful staff.

It’s expensive

Great location! Everything we needed for our stay. Staff were so helpful and kept our bags until departure.

Room quiet dated in places. Lack of information in room about area etc.

Nice and clean. Central to everything so can walk everywhere. We stayed midweek and found the hotel very quiet no loud music playing or noise from the street keeping you awake.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The drinks at the bar phantastic and do creations that are not on the menu (thanks Ross). Ross, CEO, made with us a Tour through the whole compound (thanks again Ross, taken this time for us)

In the night could get noisy.

Great bars

Very disappointing breakfast Very noisy in the evenings as the court yard at the back is the outside of a pub on temple bar. It didn’t stop the music until after 2am. No air con in any of the rooms which isn’t usually a problem on the British isles but as we could not open the windows due to noise this was a big issue.

Very nice hotel inside Dublin center also very good for taxi and reaching all the cities interesting activities and monuments.

Bathroom furniture and bathtub were a little bit old and scratched, but the rest of the room was wonderful.

Great Location, staff so friendly and accommodating. We were also upgraded to a deluxe room which was a nice bonus.

Shower in our room flooded the bathroom, we notified reception and they were to send maintenance to look at it. We were only staying a night so didn't affect our stay too much.

The initial room we were allocated was very tired and more like a hostel or budget hotel, not a 4 star hotel. Jose was kind enough to show us 2 renovated rooms that were right next to Temple Bar and would be loud and then showed us the 5th floor suite that while in need or renovation, had access to the rooftop area and was quiet.

The hotel is in the middle of a refurb and when finished, will be great.

Good to be back, short stay, convenient place, even if a little noisy at night...

We love The Clarence, the location is superb, the staff are lovely. The room was very comfortable. We have stayed there many times and will definitely be going back again.
