Located in Dublin city center, the Merrion Hotel contains Ireland’s largest collection of private art and has the islands only two Michelin star restaurants. It is a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World and comprises of four Georgian townhouses. The hotel has a rich and a long history that dates back all the way to the 1760s. The first of the Georgian houses is the reputed to be the birthplace of Arthur Wellesley, who was the first Duke of Wellington.
The two prestigious awarded restaurants of the Michelin stars are Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, which serves French influenced cuisine and the Cellar Restaurant, which offers fine Irish cuisine. When guests are not treating their taste buds, they can relax at the Tethra Spa, which offers luxurious spa and beauty treatments or head down to the modern gym or Italian marble steam room.
The five star hotel’s location between Merrion Square Park and St Stephen’s Green makes it ideal for visiting key attractions when guests are not enjoying the many room and hotel amenities. The National Gallery of Ireland, Temple Bar and Grafton Street at only a few minutes’ walk away.

Very good
The hotel facilities were excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.
My room wasn't ready at 2:30 pm and was told it would be ready for 3 pm. I'd just completed the marathon, and there was a lot of difficulty finding a seat to sit in as everything was reserved. On returning at 3pm, we were told we'd have to wait until 3:45pm. This was very disappointing.

Extremely friendly staff and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! We were really impressed with the turn down service and the fabulous breakfast delivered to the room. It was great being in such a central location in Dublin.

Beautiful property in a great location. Well-appointed rooms, graciously decorated, with beautiful bathrooms. Far more spacious than most hotel rooms and bathrooms in Europe.
