The Dean Hotel, Dublin

The location was great! Our room was lovely. We were in a Super Room in the original hotel. The room was big & spacious. Perfect for two people. The amenities were nice. The staff were lovely. We were able to get an early check in. There had been an error with my booking and I was charged for a cancelled room. They were quick to rectify the matter. My money was refunded straight away. My son used the gym facilities and was really happy with them. We had breakfast in Sophie’s the next morning and it was delicious.

The only downside about this property is the noise from the nightclubs. We were told when booking and at check in about the noise in the area. So we knew ahead of time what to expect. There were ear plugs provided in our room and we used them. To be honest this would not dissuade me from booking again.

Loved the hotel vibe, the shower, bed was extremely comfy, little things in the room as in records etc.

The fact our room was over the smoking area for copper face jacks nightclub, was extremely noisy until 0330,

It’s located in a really good area, the staff were lovely and the gym and swimming pool are also great!

The noise, you are right next to a night club that doesn’t finish until after 3, if you’re going out it’s fine but if you’re home a bit earlier you can’t sleep. I did phone and ask if we could be moved which the hotel accommodated!

The interior was very cool! The room was comfortable and incredibly beautiful. It was only a short walk from all the shops and pubs. We really enjoyed our stay!

The bathroom door was a little difficult to handle, it was one of those you could slide to open, and it did slightly come off the rod once or twice. And it didn’t shut properly, so it didn’t quite give you that much privacy. But all in all it wasn’t a big deal for us.

Single glazed windows on to a busy street with a Luas and late night revellers even on a Tuesday night led to a poor sleep. If booking ask for a room not facing the street

The location was fantastic and found the room rate good value for money. Room small but had everything required.

The noise from night club - I’m 50 and jealous but need sleep. Maybe give guests ear plugs 😔

The hotel is funky and clean. All staff where friendly and helpful and food and drink was great.

We had a pod which was very small but ok if you don't plan to spend alot of time in your room.

Nice smiling staff. Cool rooftop restaurant, delicious food which is actually rare in Dublin.

The bathroom door was stuck. At check-in they take a deposit in case you empty the mini-bar or I don’t know. I’m a light drinker and it was uncomfortable for me too much drinks and another unhealthy things in the room. It would have been better if they had put any books or magazines on the the table.😉☺️ Be prepared that the deposit won't be available until a couple days later.

I loved the decor and it was very quite so got full nights sleep, Loved the hotel itself and Sophies was gorgeous. The pool was also gorgeous

That the room wasn't in the main building and we were not told about this before I also hated no natural light in the room as the window was blacked out

Great room, nice decor but the bath light stopped working and it was hard to have a shower. The roof restaurant flies were very bad and annoying when trying to eat. Amazing staff and great location.

Breakfast was great (à la carte) in Sophie's. I love Sophie's, so I was delighted with it. The room has lots of thoughtful details and I couldn't fault it. The gym is amazing and I got 2 sessions in there. There is also a sauna and pool. We ordered some cocktails for the pool and that was really lovely.

The hotel is beside a nightclub and I could just not sleep. In fairness, the hotel provides earbuds to block out the noise, but I could not get used to the feeling of them in my ears so couldn't sleep like that either.

Great room, with generally good facilities. The pool was great. I had a problem with the heating in my room which was dealt with promptly, efficiently and with a smile.

I missed having access to TV, all TV was internet based, e.g. RTE player, Netflix, which was fine but I, personally love to have the option of the TV news in the mornings.
