Resort Jumeirah Al Qasr Madinat, Dubai
Expert reviews
“Al Qasr offers a distinctive Arabic flavor. Step inside the lobby and the scent of freshly cut rose petals — which are scattered into a center pool — hits you square on, while rooms look out onto Arabesque waterways and the Persian Gulf.”
“If cookie-cutter hotels don’t cut it, try this polished pad styled after an Arabian summer palace. Details are extraordinary, from the lobby’s Austrian-crystal chandeliers to mirror-polished inlaid-marble floors.”
“Set among the meandering man-made canals of Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Al Qasr brims with Old World grandeur and feels like a royal palace because in many ways, it is. Al Qasr, which means “the palace,” is part of the impressive Madinat Jumeirah development, and the getaway was built and designed in the image of a sheikh’s residence.”
“Al Qasr (‘The Palace’) is part of an Arabesque-inspired beachfront resort and features opulent interiors fit for a sheikh. Guests can use all the facilities of the wider resort, which include multiple pools, an award-winning spa, more than 50 restaurants and bars and an air-conditioned souk.”

All you need to know
Al Qasr stands for “The Palace” and Resort Jumeirah Al Qasr Madinat of Dubai is certainly fit for royalty. The beachfront resort is specifically located in Madinat Jumeirah and overlooks a beautiful stretch of beach. Do centrally located for guests to enjoy nearby attractions such as Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi Water Park and the Mall of Emirates. The resort has over 40 restaurants and bars and is comprised of three boutique hotels; Al Qasr, Mina A’Salam and Al Naseem.
The resort is something straight out of an Arabian fantasy with low-rise buildings topped with faux wind towers surrounded by lush green gardens and miles of man-made canals. Cream stucco friezes, keyhole arches, carved wood, mosaic tiles and even a five-ton Swarovski Crystal Chandelier in the lobby are all features that add to the wonder of this Arabian dreamland. This place is lavishly decorated and it is by no means minimalist.
The resort was designed to imitate the style of a Sheikh’s summer residence and even the standard rooms a purely decadent and luxurious. They contain antique dark wood furniture, patterned carpet and opulent fabrics in shades of gold, beige and maroon. The en suite bathrooms feature a walk-in shower, small tub and amenities from Omani perfume house and fluffy bathrobes. The five-star resort is the largest in the emirate and everything is done big bold and exciting.
