Casa Delfino, Crete

I am an American living abroad; From the moment I approached the hotel on the walking street it was a magical experience, the hotel is situated in the Old Town area on what some might consider a back alley, but beautiful, and the courtyard of the hotel is stunning. I met the owner and she was very personable and shared some of the family history of the property. The staff was very courteous and professional, accommodating and super friendly. Relaxation at its best, I cant wait to bring family and friends back to share the experience. prefect mix of old world charm and modern amenities. The Spa was incredible and private with Hamam (Steam Sauna) and Hot Tub, and massage services were top of the line. In Chania i had limited time but wanted to see if I could book a small fishing charter. The staff made the connection but unfortunately the weather didn't allow it, but absolutely will next time. Casa Delfino gets 100% marks and extra credit given in all areas. Thank you for a superior experience. I highly recommend them.

The room (and the rest of the hotel) was beautiful, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the harbour, and we could even park the hire car close to the hotel for free. We visited out of the main tourist season, so the hotel and the town were pleasantly quieter.

Wonderful location; right in the heart of the Chania’s old city. Courteous, accommodating, and knowledgeable staff. Delicious breakfasts.

Our room smelled musty and felt awkward. Quite a few rooms were dark.

This is a unique, exceptional property with a wonderful staff in a superb location. How often can one stay in an old Venetian palazzo that has been modernized? Great comfort, and service. A taste of old world Europe, properly updated.

Best breakfast ever!

Breakfast was wonderful. The hotel is gorgeous. The bed was comfortable and we had two bathrooms. The location is fantastic and we enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants and nearby attractions.

Everything about Casa Delfino is top-notch. The service is impeccable. The location is superb. You are treated like family by the highly efficient staff.

Loved the breakfast, robes, spa (we got a wonderful massage) baggage storage for our early arrival & especially the rooftop bar with beautiful harbor views. Really liked the attentive service from all employees.

Bathroom needed caulking around tub, leaking yellow water. Outside noise level a bit much (use earplugs). We wished we could of gotten into room earlier then we did, as we took an overnight ferry from Athens, but knew it may not be available.

The hotel was clean and in a great location! Also, the staff was so nice! They went above and beyond to help us. They met us at our taxi to drive us to the hotel in their golf cart upon our arrival and recommended the most amazing olive oil company to tour and have lunch with. We would absolutely stay here again!

The front desk team was so helpful in arranging reservations, providing recommendations, and arranging transport to our car. The room was very large and very nicely prepared and cleaned each day. The location was super for great restaurants, shopping, and enjoying the harbor.

If you rent a car, it’s a little of a hassle to walk to and from the parking area but honestly we didn’t mind. The hotel offers help with a golf cart but if you don’t have wifi/phone reception, you can’t call them to request a ride. Keep in mind if you are arriving late.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, if not the best. The location is great, not even a minute walk away from the city center. Upon arrival they bring you golf carts to take you to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and kind. The hotel used to be a family mansion that was transformed into a hotel by the family who owns it and is extremely beautiful. We asked the staff for help to find a restaurant for my daughters birthday and they recommended Pallas Thallasa and made us a reservation. The morning of they surprised my daughter with a cake and when we finished our dinner at the restaurant we found out the owner of the hotel, Margarita, had contacted them and bought us dessert to celebrate the birthday. I think this hotel is a nice luxury to splurge on and have made the trip extremely comfortable.

Breakfast needs more options

Awesome from start to finish. The communication from the point of booking was brilliant. On the day of travel our flight from the UK was delayed. Managed to message the hotel whilst on the runway at Manchester to say we’d be late. Our taxi transfer was there waiting for us when we finally arrived in Chania airport and only €30 for the journey. Hotel recommended a restaurant (and arranged a table for us) on first night and all staff were fantastic throughout stay - so knowledgable and friendly. Lovely hotel. Make sure you experience the rooftop terrace bar - amazing views. Will definitely return here.
