The room was very big and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and offered us a room upgrade for free. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the executive lounge. There is a lot of choice to eat for breakfast and the food is very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we would like to come again.

The Spa is very nice. It was a real pleasure to end the day in the warm water of the jacuzzi and then dry in the sauna. I would like to praise one employee: Andrea who served at the dining room at breakfast. Despite the extreme load, she was efficient, understood very intelligently & quickly what were our desires. We are experienced travellers and feel that she was exceptional!

The hotel was TOO FULL, overloaded. Breakfast was crowded. 2 mornings we had to wait in line for several minutes to get inside. The pool and poolside were too crowded as well. It was hard to find a spot to lay one's stuff.

The spa was beautiful but the capacity was overload most of the evening. The necessity to book the spot in the spa would solve the problem.

The room is spacious and the view is OK - especially since the other rooms look inside the building so looking outside is a plus. The breakfast is great has a lot of options and even though it was really crowded it somehow worked so we didn't have to wait a long time to pick stuff from the buffet and it was constantly refilled, except for nuttella which was somehow always missing. Shout out to Lorenzo that makes eggs for breakfast, the man is a machine! Working on 5 different meals every minute. Staff is generally very good, both at the reception, the bellboys and in the restaurant. The wifi was working great. Even though the cleanliness could be a bit better overall, towels were extremely clean. Coffee machine was also a nice touch.

The location is not the best, if you want to go to the most popular monuments, it's some 15 to 25 minutes on foot and some can have an issue with a noisy street as it's one of the main ones. The hotel is an old one, which can be seen all around the place as it's probably hard to maintain such a big building. The breakfast is really great, as mentioned, but lacks some of the things such as bigger variety of dry fruit, cold cuts are really basic as well as cheese and there's not a variety of non-diary milk. Otherwise it was really good. The spa is also OK, but lacks sun-beds, as there's only 10 or a bit more for the whole spa so it's almost impossible to find a spot. The jacuzzi was full 24/7 and you could never find an empty space in it, this is probably because you can purchase a ticket for the spa from the outside, it's not only for the hotel guests, which is also a bit problematic considering the size of the hotel itself - guests can easily fill it in. The staff was helpful and good, but there were some strange things - one day they didn't refill the soaps in the toilet, while the other we found a guy in the hotel room checking the mini bar, even though the doors were closed (it's common practice to have the doors open or at least a little bit so a guest knows someone is inside) and it was our checkout day. He also used a full 10 minutes to check the minibar (why taking so long) and didn't mention anything about it. As we don't ever use a minibar, I thought it's ok, but after 15 minutes lady knocks to refill the drink that was missing?! Not just that it wasn't missing but also they could wait for us to checkout. Told her that we didn't use minibar. Of course, as I expected, during the checkout they wanted to charge the minibar to us, but luckily didn't once I explained that we didn't use it at all.

The only complaint I have is that access to the pool is off limits unless you pay a spa access for $40 per person per day. When the photo of the pool is posted on booking, you’d think guests would have access to it. I’d understand the spa and the sauna being accessed for a fee, but usually hotel pools are open to guests.

Beautiful building inside and out with fabulous staff and amazing breakfast selection and the executive area was brilliant with lots of lovely snacks and drinks with a great place to relax. Lovely clean spa which was included in our stay and beautifully clean communal areas will 100% return

I loved everything about this property but there was only one thing I would say and that is perhaps our room wasn’t as clean as I would have expected. The shower blocked up and when I lifted to see what was going on under the shower plug it was rammed with hair and muck so hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Also whilst I was stood in the dressing area drying my hair I could see a LOT of black hair all over the floor (not mine) this didn’t upset our stay at all but I definitely would have rated 5 star instead of 4. I am a house keeper myself so perhaps why I noticed more and I did see the maids hoovers which were indeed

Location and reception staff were great

Left on Sunday morning, guy who opened the doors ran out after me saying he'd get me a taxi. Told him no need but he followed me to the taxi rank and tried to get me to say where I was going. I got in the cab and the taxi driver said he was being rude to me in Hungarian.

Almost everything, staff was helpful, fun and nice. The breakfast was very good.

There were two mattresses in the bed resulting in less than optimal comfort even though both mattresses were comfortable

Unfortunately the room was far to hot even with a fan in the room. As it is Winter they can't turn it down! However, the staff did everything to help and moved us to a different part of the hotel which was cooler. Thank you.

Large rooms, beautiful foyer, spotless throughout. Lovely drinks menu in the bar and food innthe restaurant was superb. Beautiful pool area with lots of amenities. Location was excellent and close to all major landmarks.

The Michelin Star restaurant was EXCELLENT, presentation, quality, taste beyond expectations! The sommelier provided wonderful recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Chef Schmidt visited our table after the meal and he truly deserves the Michelin star. Without hesitation, we recommend this restaurant

Not recommended if you are staying beyond the second floor as there is no elevator beyond that.

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic spa. It was like being in a Wes Anderson movie 😊 the beds were great and very comfortable. I didn’t get a chance everything at breakfast but it all looked amazing. We’ll be coming back.

This is my second stay here, I really enjoy this hotel. It’s beautiful.

Due to the weather temperatures outside, the room was warm. Due to central air, you cannot cool the room. Thankfully, they had portal fans. Note: you do have to ask for them to be delivered to your room.

The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and very well informed. Zille who worked in the Executive Lounge epitomised the hotel, really nice, helpful, socially adept and exceptionally organised and professional. Breakfast is exceptional, reception are incredibly helpful and we just loved it all.

A couple of minor issues with room service but nothing major.

The parking is behind the hotel, and with the one-way streets it’s easier, if you’re arriving by car, to go to the garage first and enter the hotel from the back. I did it that way and it was simple. I’m not sure whether the hotel has valet service. Based on other comments, I would guess it doesn’t. The staff is professional and helpful. For example, when we asked for restaurant recommendations, they suggested a few places nearby in addition to the hotel restaurant, and the one we visited was excellent. The room was nice and spacious, with complimentary water, tea, and coffee. Some elements of the room could use a refresh, but nothing that should worry anyone. Breakfast was great. Although the restaurant was packed on the first morning, the staff helped us get seated. They work hard to clean tables quickly and ensure nothing is missing. One touch my wife really appreciated is that the hotel has fresh, well-maintained flowers everywhere. It takes real dedication and attention to keep that up. The hotel’s location is excellent. It was quiet at night, and during the day we were able to reach the most interesting parts of Budapest quickly. We didn’t check out the spa this time, but we will on our next visit.

For some reason Chromecast didn’t work, and I’m a tech-savvy person. We didn’t spend much time in the room, so it didn’t really bother us, and I guess that if we had asked at the reception, someone would have fixed it.

The rooms are a little bit old, + you had to pay separately for breakfast and spa.. I really think these kind of luxury hotels shouldn’t allow reservations to be without breakfast and spa.. it looks cheap this way. The room came with down duvet which I consider to be old fashioned ..

Our experience was fabolous. The architecture pf the hotel is real amazing. The rooms are very confortable. Personal so friendly. Ubication is strategic, nearly to the Budapest Castle, Subway, históric Center and Saint Esteban church. Other important thing is the breakfast in the hotel is buffet and very varied.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. I visited with my girlfriend, and we both felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel restaurant was excellent, offering delicious dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. What truly made our stay special was the thoughtful birthday surprise in the room – a bottle of sparkling wine and a mousse au chocolat cake. This personal touch added so much joy and showed great attention to detail. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding service, excellent dining, and warm hospitality.
