Gerlóczy Boutique Hotel, Budapest

Great location to explore Budapest. Set in a quiet and leafy square. Excellent and varied breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff. Evening meals were good, look out for the daily specials.Decent size bedroom for city centre, good walk-in shower.

The only drawers were a very small one at bedside, omit the empty mini bar and replace with a set of drawers.

What stood out most about Gerlóczy Boutique Hotel was its stylish character and the lovely, comfortable room, which made it a great place to relax after exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout the stay, and the restaurant was fantastic — easily one of the highlights. The location was also excellent, with an easy walking distance to the river and many of Budapest’s main sights. The hotel had a charming boutique atmosphere that felt both elegant and cosy, making the overall experience especially memorable.

Great location close to Vacy St. Huge room size in Deluxe room. Very helpful Reception Staff. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient. French Restaurant on site.

Central location. Friendly,helpful staff. I chose the delux room which was large and quite sound proof. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were welcoming, efficient and helpful. Thank you! The location was easy walking distance to the Danube through pedestrian streets of shops and restaurants. The big bonus was the fantastic restaurant on the street entrance of this historic boutique hotel. And having an elevator was very handy upon arrival and departure with luggage. The hotel management was very honest at the time of the reservation that there was nearby daytime construction noise. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Just a heads up that taxis arranged by the hotel do take a more direct and less expensive route than others which is a good thing. Thanks again!

The location is wonderful. It is close to major sites and restaurants. Lily did an excellent job checking us in and providing information at the front desk. The breakfast is to die for. It was delicious and plentiful and such a great deal.

There’s construction going on next-door from 7:30 AM till 6 PM each day. That was disruptive for our sleep. I know there’s nothing in the hotel can do about it, but keep that in mind when selecting your visit stays. It looks like the construction could go on for one or two more years. They are just starting.

A lovely, stylish hotel that's well located in the city centre and a short walk to the pick-up point for the bus to the airport. Nice cafe/restaurant on the ground floor.

The staff could be more engaged with their clients

This is a real gem of a hotel – very stylish, located centrally and full of charm. The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the square, and with a good bathroom with lovely toiletries. The hotel and restaurant are staffed by a group of delightful young people, who could not be more friendly and helpful. Having an excellent restaurant on site is a real bonus – again, it has a wonderful old world feel about it, and a great menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is exceptionally good value. We certainly hope to return!

Excellent location and on a quiet street. A really interesting building with stunning architecture. Attic rooms are still spacious and have skylights. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom has traditional features with lovely toiletries and a huge shower. Safe and mini bar fridge. The restaurant on the ground floor is also excellent.

The bathrooms have heated floors which mean they stay quite warm.

The food was excellent and a great choice

I wish we had booked with the breakfast at the outset. The restaurant and the breakfasts was really good, but breakfast more expensive as we had not booked the room with breakfast.

The Gerloczy Hotel was perfect for us - the room was lovely and the restaurant had such a great atmosphere. All the staff were so friendly and professional and really made our stay special. We had breakfast with our stay and the food was so good we went back for cakes and also for dinner. The hotel and rooms have a lot of character and the bed was super comfortable.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. On arrival, we were given a room that only had a tub. We asked the staff to be moved to a room with a shower. None were available for the first night, but they did move us the next day for our last two nights. So, if you want a room with a shower, be sure to ask when booking. The hotel was clean and the cafe was very cute. The location was great. It was located within walking distance for sightseeing, lots of restaurants, shopping and cafes.

Hotel rooms really should all have a shower and not just a tub. I will just know in the future to be mindful of that when booking at boutique hotels.

Brilliant friendly and helpful staff, great location and fantastic restaurant - especially Szonja at reception who gave excellent advice and informative assistance throughout our stay and Annett (Palinka lady!!) who was v friendly and helpful.

Building works next door were a little noisy early in the morning but that is a short-term issue

The location was excellent. Very close to shops, restaurants and Airport bus stop. Set in a quiet quaint square just off main city avenues.
Close to good transport connections (Astoria, Deak Ferenc Ter) and a short walk to Ferris Wheel.

The price was punchy. I chose without breakfast and found the cost to be quite high for this hotel rating/category.
