Callas House, Budapest

The room was very spacious and the location is ideal. You are practically staying at the center of Budapest where everything is within walking distance and most of the public transportation is right next to the hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff at the reception are very friendly and will help you with anything you need.

The sewer was sometimes giving a bit of a smell.

The location is fantastic. Near shops & restaurants. Maybe a 15-20 min walk to the Danube.

The mattress & pillows was quite hard.

Excellent location, very kind staff, comfortable bed, overall feeling of the quite unique place.

I did overheated to my liking, but that is of course very subjective and nothing open window for a few minutes would not solve ;)

Location is perfect and next to the Opera House. Great walking area and lots of shops and restaurants close by. Their breakfast is great and the restaurant in the hotel is excellent.

Stylish hotel which well located for all the key sights of Budapest. Staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Rooms are well appointed and beds super comfortable - had brilliant sleep! Would highly recommend - you wont go wrong with this choice!

Comfortable bed, good pressure in the shower, spacious, warm and clean room. Great location. Excellent breakfast (pastries were fabulous). Front desk very helpful.

Large room, good facilities

Location is very convenient, right next to the metro station. Breakfast was above my expectation, basic products but served nicely, I don`t see this recently often in other hotels. The bed in the room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. In the room there was a small fridge and lots of coffees and teas we could use free of charge. The room in general very quiet even though it was on the main street side. The receptionist offered multiple times to help us with the luggage - a true gentleman and rare phenomenon these days!

Check-in took way too long. Ahead of us was one other couple and it took 15 minutes to check them in. To be clear, the receptionist was extremely nice and professional, I just think the whole process of explaining how things work in the hotel should be explained quicker. Furthermore, there was an apprentice present at the same time. She was quite scary to be honest - no smile, no "hello" or "good bye", she just stood there and stared at something like a monument. Another thing, please fix the door to the breakfast restaurant - they don`t fully close and there is a draft with cold air getting in the restaurant.

The hotel is centrally located next to Opera House and in front of W super renovated hotel. With no streets names in English, it was easy to find. Rooms are nice, nice bathrooms, tea/ coffee in room, refrigerator. Big elevator . Reception was on 3 rd foot, not easy to find. We also got a bottle of champagne in room from hotel for New Year

Theas use metal key with big leather pocket for the room and electronic key to enter hotel and your floor - so you end up carrying that. Nice restaurant for breakfasts but opens at 7:30 and you need to leave hotel and go around the building to enter it - in freezing weather not nice. The entrance near hotel to restaurant was closed to hotel guests

Location is perfect. Rooms were very good designed. Breakfast was delicious but variety was poor. I would stay in this hotel again

The room and our rooftop was incredible. Lovely large bedrooms and bathrooms. The staff were all fabulous and we felt very looked after. The dining room downstairs is so gorgeous, and the hotel is on one of the best streets in Budapest, and right next door to the Opera House. And close to the Basilica, which had the Christmas Markets out front.

Breakfast could be better. It's pretty limited, with no labels on anything, or whether they included allergens (dairy, gluten, etc.)

The room was excellent sized, with a very big bed and bathroom. Our room had skylights which made the stay even better. The location was excellent, very close to everything. The staff was very courteous and polite, giving us a lot of information and tips for our stay in Budapest!

The breakfast was a bit lacking, and our room could have been cleaner, as there were several spider cobwebs in all areas of the room, including the bathroom. The balcony was practically unusable due to its small size, so it felt that it was just an excuse to be charged more for the room.

Our staying was absolutely wanderful. This hotel was really exceptional, beautiful, etnic crochet picture, stylish design takes you back in time. The terrace had amazing view all over around and we were just next to opera house.

Great hotel at a decent price. The room was spacious, clean and equipped with all facilities, including a mini bar, a coffee machine and a kettle. We had no problem checking in late. Breakfast was pretty much the same every day but good. Location was wonderful, really central.

Breakfast could be a bit more varied. Also the pastries were a bit old on Sunday. But still a great hotel.

10 out of 10 for location. The view on Opera House was spectacular. The deco of the room was amazing, so much attention to the details. Great facilities - mini bar, a few snacks, water, coffee machine - all you need for your stay. We had a great stay and would definitely look out for this place again in future.

Did not offer to give 6 of us a breakfast carrybag since our flight to Milan was so early.

The room was very clean and I enjoyed the great shodwer. Also fantastic breakfast and the history made this a unique stay. The location was perfect for visiting sights around the Opera house.

Would like to have a face washcloth. I noticed in Europe it is rarely available. Could not set temperature in my room. It was chilly a couple nights.

Loved how it was modern but also the age and beauty of the building

The room was very clean, tidy, large in size. The staff was very friendly, although I checked in at 00:30. The location is central, you can get anywhere very quickly (on foot or by public transport)

Very good location, the rooms are big and nicely furnished. The terrace was amaizing! Breakfast was good and the restaurant was beautiful! Also the food at the restaurant was very good and service was excellent.

The building is quite old and historic. The entrance is a little hard to find, and reception is up on the 3rd floor. The suite we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. It even had a couple of private roof top terraces, which would be amazing in warmer weather. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

Weirdly, however, the bathroom only had a tub with a hand shower and NO shower curtain. That made taking a shower very difficult to avoid flooding the room. I suppose one is supposed to sit in the tub and carefully hose off, but that is definitely not my style.

We booked a studio and they upgraded us to deluxe studio.

Located on certain floors of an old building in the center. First i was a bit confused how to get to the reception, but the hotel is great. I got a cozy room under the roof, with a lovely roof balcony. The room though not very big, fascinated me with its design Complimentary water, a good minibar for a charge. I was most fascinated with fresh flowers in the room and a hairband in the vanity kit.)) Really appreciated it as a girl. A very nice and helpful receptionist and exquisite design of the building itself.

The location and stuff very good. The room is so nice and clean. There were everything ok.

We loved the central location. Excellent for getting to the attractions and the hop on hop off bus stops directly opposite. It is right next to the Opera. Rooms were decorated really nice and spacious and had a little balcony. Lots of nice touches. Such as Nespresso coffee baker, snacks, water, toiletries. Would recommend a stay here. Staff were lovely.

It wasn’t until we arrived that we found out they were rooms in a big building on floors 3 to 4 floor. Breakfast is served in the Callas House restaurant which you had to enter outside the building on the side. Yes there was a Buffett breakfast but basic compared to other places we have stayed. There was no bar to have a drink in the evening you would need to go elsewhere or in the separate Callas House restaurant.

Perfect location. The rece1 ptionist was probably one of the most friendly, helpful and pleasant we've encountered.

You had to exit the hotel and walk around the corner to the breakfast but worth the minor inconvenience, as it was a charming restaurant. In fact on the first night the restaurant and indeed most of the street became a film set for an episode of NCIS. . It was doubling for Paris
