Hotel The Augustin, Brussels

Location of the hotel is excellent. 7 mins walk from Grand Palace square.

Breakfast very good. Location good for Brussels centre 10 minutes walk.

It was clean. Lots of hot water and towels. Breakfast was good.

Decor was rather Spartan, and a bit worn. It was actually too warm! There were no rails for support in the bathroom. It did lack atmosphere! Nothing Christmassy at all!

The takeaway smell in the room. The stairs were also unfinished and looked like a construction site.

Great location within walking distance to the train station, metro station and grand place/city centre. Comfortable beds and large rooms, nice and warm during the cold weather. Good continental breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff

Location excellent. 15 minutes walk from Gare Du Midi and the same to Grand Place

Not a 4 star! Tired decor and basic furniture. No mirror in bedroom. Renovation taking place so corridor very dusty and stairs unusable as covered in building dust. Nobody to meet and greet at breakfast so you had to guess!

The room was huge and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was very well served. Location was central enough within walking distance to main attractions.

We could hear a bit of noise coming from upper floors and the area in front of the hotel was under construction so neighbourhood was a bit messy.

The location is close to the city center. The room and the bath are spacious with many facilities. Kind and helpful staff.

The heating system is noisy while running. In the bathroom was constantly a bad smell. Our room was besides the elevator and we heard a lot of loud sounds even in the night.

The size of the room - i got an upgrade. The staff were friendly What was provided for breakfast was nice. Lobby and bar were pretty

There were stains on the duvet cover and some towels. Luckily i had a spare i could use. Some wear and tear (paint job). Friends had issues with their rooms so they were uncomfortable.

The member of staff working 31st Oct and 1st Nov on the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were large and comfortable and warm

Things are a little tired, and balcony doors kept blowing open at night, waking us up. The catch didn't work properly, very little milk for coffee and hand soap was never filled up over our 4 nights stay

A little tired in places

The continental breakfast was very good, although it is in a very small, hot and noisy space. The location is great, a short walk from the midi station. The bed was comfortable, the shower was very powerful and there were nice products in the bathroom.

The room was not what I expected for a 4-star hotel. The walls were dirty, the stationary on the desk was mouldy and there was dirt in the bath.

The staff were excellent, friendly & very hardworking. The hotel was clean overall & breakfast was great. Excellent location. The reception & bar was very nice.

The hotel was part 4 star & part 3 star. The room was very basic & run down. I’m not sure if we were just unlucky with the room as not decorated nicely, no headboard, bathroom in need of repair. The room was not 4 star albeit the hotel in general was nice. The area is run down, a lot of work ongoing. Get a taxi from the station if arriving at night. But was very near Grand Place.

1) the pillows were dirty 2) when I asked to change the pillows, the receptionist had to change it 4-5 times before it was completely clean.

The hotel is ideally suited for the city. The staff were really helpful. Breakfast could have been better, but was OK.

I felt the price was a little high for the facilities on offer.

The room was large and comfortable. The location was excellent for exploring the city centre on foot. The staff were excellent and helpful and the breakfast was also excellent. The lounges were quiet and well appointed .

We would rather had a shower that a shower over the bath.
