One of the most interesting aspects of the hotel is its family story. In 2011, siblings Mélanie and Martin Duchateau, both graduates of the Lausanne Hotel School, purchased the former Hotel Louise and transformed it into Made In Louise. The renovation was led with the help of their mother, an interior designer, who carefully preserved the building’s original charm.
The hotel’s design highlights include individually decorated rooms, a striking spiral staircase, and bright communal spaces that feel more like a private home than a hotel lobby. Guests can also relax in the peaceful courtyard garden or enjoy Belgian beers at the in-house bar.
A nice detail is the property’s focus on local and sustainable hospitality. It holds the Green Key eco-label, serves Belgian products at breakfast, and uses locally made toiletries, giving visitors a small taste of everyday Brussels life alongside their stay.

Excellent stay, highly recommended
The property is truly exceptional—a small hidden gem in Brussels and my personal favorite. Everything is thoughtfully done, from the beautifully appointed rooms and welcoming atmosphere to the attentive staff and excellent breakfast. A lovely touch is the 24/7 self-service bar in the common area, offering snacks whenever you need them. Highly recommended!

Cozy hotel, very friendly staff and definitely a place I would stay in again.
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel was very cozy and had a very nice fragrance in both the common areas and the room itself. I was coming back to the hotel after a couple of days and they kindly held onto my luggage and refrigerated medication and even left it in my room as soon once it was available.
The central AC apparently stopped working properly during our stay, making our room just a little too warm, no matter what temperature we left the thermostat at.

Accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great selection of television and the bathroom facilities were excellent

The best breakfast around!
The breakfast was incredible and included lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options. The bed was comfy, and staff were very friendly and helpful too. I’d visit again!
Not much to say. Maybe a slightly better clothes hanging space and a separate dedicated gluten-free toaster (at breakfast). Otherwise, excellent.

Clean rooms, friendly atmosphere, very good breakfast, correct price. Parking in the street is very expensive and limited to 4 hours, but then it is easy to find a place in the street. Parking in the hotel is possible for 20€ per day, I believe.

The hotel was perfect for a quick city visit. Very comfortable room and bathroom a very good size with a full bath.
The staff were all fantastic from the wonderful reception lady to the breakfast team.
Lots of great choices at breakfast and nice reception area to wait after checkout.

Made in Louise is a lovely hotel. The staff were fantastic, breakfast was delicious, the room was warm, clean and spacious.
No real grumbles, the only thing I can think of is providing milk in the room.

Very nice from beginning to end. Staff lovely and hotel plus facilities perfectly matched our needs.
Room was very nice and we appreciated having the bath as we'd requested on booking. Being able to come down for cold filtered tap water any time was a good idea. Breakfast was excellent with the young ladies being highly efficient and very friendly.
Room soundproofing wasn't fantastic. Able to hear quite a lot noise from next door's TV/voices and also every footstep from upstairs. Dare say there's not much that can be done about this, so it's more an observation than a complaint.
