Too strict with check in check out. Felt a bit unwelcoming.

The staff, starting with Sherley but extending to the valets, reception, engineers, bar men, etc were all singularly excellent

The fact that the customer has to pay for the water in the fridge on a hot summer day is puzzling. Free water should be provided in the summer.

Location is fantastic, perfect for accessing everything we wanted to do. The hotel is clean, modern, has a great vibe, and staff is wonderful. We used the fitness room and ate breakfast at the hotel two times. The meal was perfect each time, hot, ample, the coffee great, and service flawless. The concierges were very helpful with meal recommendations, Clarence especially. They recommended Antonios and Cafe Bonjour which were both wonderful. And Beantown Pub next door is great. The complimentary wine at 5 pm was appreciated. Housekeeping was attentive without our asking, and these days where you have to normally beg for it, that was appreciated.

Our room was a bit small, with only room for one person to work on a computer on a small table. A minor thing. The A/C unit kept me up one night with the noise from cycling on and off. The hotel is aware and was very gracious about it.
Also there are added charges to be aware of, a $65 valet charge we chose to avoid by delaying our car rental, a nightly destination charge, and 19% obscene taxes, (that's the fault of the city of Boston). The room was stocked with snacks and drinks but we didn't use them at all because so pricey, $12 for a small bag of chips.

Great central location. The room was clean and very comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing - I would stay again. Was the perfect location, and even though they were renovating in some areas it had no negative impact on my experience.

Location was perfect. The chair in the room was comfortable.

Needs lots of repairs. Small rooms. No food options. Bathroom doors would not shut or lock. No parking unless you use valet which was $65 plus they expected a tip on entry and exit which made parking over $100. Staff had little experience socially. Wasn’t a pleasant experience. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like during the busy season. A huge let down.

The breakfast area was beautiful. The room was cozy but modern, clean and inviting. The location was perfect and the staff were very welcoming. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We would love to visit again in the future.

Hotel had a great location for the site seeing we wanted to do.

The hotel was under renovation. Although it did not effect our room, the lobby was completely plasticed off. There was no notice of this when booking. There was no coffee making in our room. We discovered mid stay that we needed to request it. Also no room cleaning service was offered. Several things were missed telling us when we checked it. I'm completely OK with requesting services, however I need to know my options to request. A simple flyer would have been nice.

The Staff (Nate) was super nice during a tough time with all of our flight delays.

The room was large and clean. Great location right on Boston Commons. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. It was a very busy day there due to a parade and the bellmen and lobby staff stayed cool under the pressure. "Better Sorts" lounge was great for meals and drinks.

There was no mention of the hotel being under construction on the website or in speaking with hotel staff. Photos of a beautiful lobby and an area with a pool table were concept photos. There was no lobby and the reception area was quite tight. They didn't have room service which was a surprise. Also, I requested early check-in, which they were eventually able to accommodate (about 3 hours early), but they charged for it which I've never had happen. It just seemed like they were still getting off the ground or something. Not a well-oiled machine.

Parking is tough to find.

Room layout for 2 queens was exceptional.
Loved the large bathroom.

Quiet hallway and recess into room.
Unbelievable location near Common.
Didn't try any of the amenities so can't comment. We never use many of the hotel amenities during our visits.

Need to improve location and increase the outlet and charging ports in the room layout.
Fix sealing around room door to limit noise from hallway.

lobby under construction - quite claustrophobic corridor leading to the elevators, air-conditioning in the room which we didnt know how to control (either freezing wind or heating wave - we couldnt get desired state), very expensive

Location and the view, once in the correct room. The breakfast restaurant was very good.

It was under construction. Basically no lobby. No ice or vending machines at all. We arrived and we were given the wrong room. I booked a specific room with corner windows with a view of the gold state house dome. We were given a basic room with a one window room view of a brick building next door. When I went down stairs about the wrong room, I was told our room was not available because we arrived late in the day. I replied I paid for that room in full 3 days prior and my room should not have been given to someone else. I was told to speak to the manager the next day. The manager was very nice and we were in the correct room for the remainder of our trip. The hotel is very nice and I am sure it will be beautiful after the renovations. Just not a great first impression and wish the construction was completed before our trip.

Didn't realize the lobby was under construction when we booked. Room was very minimal, not even coffee maker or kettle to make tea. Bell hop offered to bring up coffee maker but never returned with one.

Clean and quiet

No coffee maker in the room or microwave. I stayed 4 nights and would have loved to have them in the room

Great location - just north of Boston Common so easy access to the main area of Boston and also over to Faneuil Hall.

Staff great and friendly and we had a large comfy room with city views. Asked for a kettle that they provided with tea bags.

Used the restaurant twice which was really good as well.

Could do with some USB ports in the room and none of the plus were in the correct place - otherwise all good.

Everything was nice including customer service upon check in.

Awful service by the phone. Some rude lady couldn’t send me invoice for my stay by email. Still waiting for someone to help me

Wendy from the front desk was amazing! We loved the free boxed water and how nice and cozy the hotel was.

Our room was quite dated. A lot of the furniture was damaged and our bathroom looked old and dingy. I was notified they would be doing a major renovation so maybe it’ll be better next time we stay in Boston.

I would have liked that the breakfast could las til 11hours and that we would have some place ti eat at night.

That we could not have breakfast later even on Sunday and could not eat something at night.

Location was perfect! Room had nice amount of space. Decor was cute and fit in with the old style of the city.

We arrived at night and the valet guy was quite rude and not welcoming at all. Did not ask if we needed help. Acted as though he did not want to have to park our car.

The location was excellent, and the room had a great view and nice furniture. I also used the fitness centre which was very good.

I was cold in bed on the first night and requested a blanked the next day which arrived very quickly once I'd requested it. The room service wasns't very good - I phoned down to ask for a drink to be sent up and this wasn't possible. The lighting was moody, but not very bright in the main part of the room. The bathroom was a bit tired.
