Harbor Hotel, Boston

I reserved a king size bed face to the harbor. And they overbook the reservation for this room. And gave a horrible wheelchair-accessible room.

The view was great, the decor was very christmassy, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. And we had a surprise waiting for us for our anniversary! Also love the dyptique presents.

The pool was closed for renovation and we were not warned when booking, which was disappointing as we came partly to enjoy it. The tub was a bit small.

Only one thing - very surprised for such a quality hotel that when we wanted to have a cup of afternoon tea in the lounge map area we were given it in disposable cups not china.

Everything! The smell and air quality of the hotel helped my asthma. It is a beautiful hotel overlooking the water. It’s in a great location. Food is amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. Staff is extremely helpful. Best hotel in Boston.

There isn’t anything unlikable about this property.

The location, I had a great view from my room. The live music on Friday night was excellent.

The swimming pool is being refurbished. I wasn’t a fan of the food I had there, especially the breakfast.

The room was comfortable - especially the bed. The TV and tablet were good. The view from the room was good. Room service was good - fast, efficient and friendly.

The bath had someone else's hairs clinging to the non-slip surface. The same ones were there throughout my stay (perhaps someone could try using sellotape or something to remove them). The snacks in the room were very expensive - $11 for a small tub of Pringles!!

I went outside for a smoke. Little while after being back in my room two employees came to my room and harassed me for smoking in my room. They admitted very quickly they were wrong. Very unprofessional!

We had a surprise room upgrade which was a lovely gesture, and the harbour view from the room was breathtaking. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We had a detailed introduction to the room from the concierge Dennis, who was very helpful. Our guest experience was exceptional throughout, thanks to some thoughtful touches such as a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries sent up for us. Rodney on reception and Rafael at breakfast were especially helpful and friendly.

We had an unfortunate situation with our daughter suffering an asthmatic situation in the middle of the night to which we had to go to hospital, the hotel assisted fantastically and moved us to a room more suited to allergy friendly conditions. The staff were all extremely accommodating and made the circumstance that much easier to handle.

Beautiful property in a great location. Great staff service.

Rather low water pressure in the shower, sink and toilet will definitely bother some guests. Food served at the hotel restaurant was excellent, but my wife and I found it to be loud, not very much seating and the service could be better for a 4.5 star hotel.
