Good location, friendly staff, clean, I like my bed facing the window this time. Would like to try some of their events planned on daily next time.

The restroom on the 1st floor is still not working.

Location was perfect, Workers were very kind and helpful. Atmosphere in general comfortable.

During my first day of stay, I lost my small bag, which i left over my bed , and I have learned that the stuff removed it while cleaning the room. Unfortunately I was not able to find it and I have lots all my things inside it. This made me upset despite the other positive things.

The location is just perfect. I traveled to run the Boston Marathon, and it is very convenient both at the start and after the finish, with walking distance to the buses. After the finish, it takes no more than 15 minutes to reach the hostel, even with tired legs. Many marathoners stay here too. I never had a problem using the showers; there are enough for all guests. I also used the washing machine which is convenient to have on site.

The breakfast was not good for me as a European. There were no fruits or vegetables, the yogurt was not tasty, and there were no nuts left if you didn't arrive early. P.S. Additional thanks for the marathon morning bananas; they were exactly what I needed!

The overall offer of activities, the welcoming attitude of the personnel, the position, the cleanliness.

Price is a bit on the high-end, considering it's a hostel, but Boston is probably like that. It's definitely worth the money, though!

The room was well planned, with good reading lights, bedside tables, plenty of surfaces for unpacking, etc. Even though we had a private room, the atmosphere was very different from a hotel because this is a hostel. Lots of emphasis on enviromental responsibility, for instance. Security seemed very good, all controlled via key card access. The free breakfast included Greek yogurt, fruit, bagels and pretty decent coffee, in a bright public space.

Automatic lighting in the bathroom turns on when you enter, even in the middle of the night. Blinding! The room was really noisy as it had big windows and looked right out on a busy street.

Reception so friendly and helpful! Privet bathroom is nice, good location!

hairdryer are not in any of bathroom, you have to rent from the reception which is not so convenient for me

Everything was great!! Such a nice hostel with a great location. Super clean, everyone was super friendly and nice! They offer tours, which is amazing to explore Boston:) Never had a better stay in a hostel before, I can definitely recommend!!

Everything was great except for the breakfast, which could have been a bit more extensive. You stay in the centre of Boston close to underground lines and major attractions. The hostel facilities are great too, including private showers/toilets so you have your privacy despite sleeping together.

Cool hostel with lots of great facilities. Big lockers in rooms big enough for a large suitcase. Curtains on beds, good breakfast, large kitchen too. Overall clean, comfortable and excellent central location

In terms of hostels its is by far a 5 star hostel, in fact its a lot better than some 3 and 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The staff could not have been more helpful, the activities they offer are awesome, loved the Boston tea party idea. The lobby would not be out of place in a hotel. The exposed brick walls give it a really comfy feel while still being incredibly warm. The fire is amazing. I can't rate this place highly enough.. even the free breakfast was great. Absolutely would stay again.

Can't be be beat for convenience and location. Staff let me in on available parking at Beach St. Garage, around the corner in Chinatown, for a very reasonable rate overnight. Between the facilities, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, the location and amenities, it was nice staying at HI-Boston again.

Can't think of anything I didn't like except that I got a parking ticket. You've got to watch the meter maids in Boston, they'll get ya!

Clean/secure hostel in the middle of town. Breakfast served, and volunteers run daily events and tours.

Reception staff were routinely cold and made you feel as if anything you asked them was an inconvenience. The toilet and shower are combined, and only x1 per room of 6. It's a nice enough hostel, but the price is obscene.

The diversity and warmth of meeting people from other places of the world makes it a wonderful experience!

It was my first time experiencing staying in a hotel and I was little scared about the safety but I felt very safe and comfortable while staying there. :)

Best Hostel I've ever stayed! Very soft and comfortable beds, and don't creak when steping on it or move at all! The whole room is lovely and quite, there are curtains on each bed so people don't disturb each other at all. They even provided shower towers! Love the hostel!

The hot water for shower run out at night... Had to take the shower early in the morning instead...

Great location and a reasonable price for Boston. The staff were excellent, particularly when dealing promptly and efficiently with an issue with another guest. Facilities are superb and everything one could need is immediately accessible.

I like that they had different free tours and the location was great!

I didn’t had good neighbors, one of the girls would come back at 3 and turn the lights and was really loud.

It was cold in the room. I wish there was a little instruction sheet on the wall that told you about temperature control. But otherwise great.

Overall this is a good hostel, the location really is amazing and the hostel has a lot to offer (activities, great kitchen, etc). The showers were a bit weird however, I couldn’t get any of the to work properly (one only had boiling water, one only freezing cold, etc - no matter what I tried).

There is a cool vibe. There was opportunity to store my own food. The staff were very helpful and seem to love being there. Tommy was exceptional as our Tour guide teaching a new guide. He made sure we were in the right place to get to our Skating program.

I disliked nothing about the property. Everything was great. Perhaps the only thing that comes to my mind was that the room was quite cold at night, like around 66 degrees, which to some people is not cold so meh.

Location was amazing, so quick to the park and the tram. Staff was very friendly, knowledgable and helpful, the bed very comfy. Loved the welcome party on Thursday night and the polaroid wall/ album. Loved the little nooks on the second floor.

I'm personally not much of l a fan of dark grey walls, I wish places would choose less depressing and more warm, inviting and cheerful colors ( not necessarily crazy bright either though) for their walls and give it a cozier feel.

The location is perfect. Close to Boston Common, subway, places to eat etc. The staff are so helpful and greet with a welcome (not a what do you want) attitude. Lots of activities organised by the hostel to select from. The breakfast included is perfect for something light, coffee, juice, cereal, toast. Exactly enough to get you going for the day. There is plenty of storage and pots and pans for you to make something a bit extra at your own expense if you wish. Also you can store a bag if you need to for a few hours before departure, at no additional cost!! It's the small things that make a place, ie HiBoston, stand out from the rest.

Not a didn't like, rather a comment, some additional hooks in the rooms would be good.

Perfect place to end a long train journey before heading home to Maine. Walking distance from South Station.
