great design, superb bar with atmosphere and delicious drinks, exceptional breakfast

air-condition in our room broke but we were relocated to another room and offered free breakfast as compensation

We loved the charm of the hotel and the energy on the reception/restaurant level. It is in a prime location to enjoy the canals, shops and places to eat.

Well appointed large clean rooms with an amazingly comfortable bed. The decor was super cute and charming. Love the design of the hotel and of the rooms. The staff was the best staff we have met at a property. So friendly and helpful, we will be back !

For a beautiful and welcoming stay in Amsterdam, The Hoxton is well located, feels like a safe neighborhood, and the beds are super comfortable. Highly recommend the local feeling of this boutique hotel!.

Excellent check in process. Rooms are spectacular. Hotel lobby is super cool and overall great location.

Very tight rooms but functional

The Hoxton is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam. It is centrally located right on a canal close to plenty of shopping and restaurants, and it is easy to get around to all of the sightseeing you will want to do. The hotel is updated while still being in a historic building and the room we stayed in was really large and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is also great and opens early in the morning for breakfast (which most places around do not!) I can't say enough good things about Lana at the front desk - she was incredibly personable on check-in and even remembered my name through our entire stay!

There was not a lot of storage space within the room even though it was large. It would have been nice to have a closet or a few drawers for our clothing.

Location is excellent. Cool Design in Retro color palette. Very friendly staff.

Slight smell from drain in bathroom but property old town house so maybe not unusual?

We had a good sized Bedroom overlooking the canal side. The Refreshments were topped up daily. Breakfast was very good despite the days when they were very busy with "King's Day". Dinner was excellent and good value. The reception staff were very friendly and provided advice and booked tables for our dinner reservations out side the hotel. They gave us exceptional information on how to travel to Keukenhof gardens to pick up the coach transfer. Could not fault. On King's Day we were given a hat and scarf so we could join in the celebrations too - very thoughtful.

Comfortable ambience friendly helpful staff

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful with an elderly member of our party who needs a wheelchair. We loved our rooms, great views over the canal and it was very quite which is unusual in a lot of hotels.

The only minor issue was the mix-up over whether our rooms should be made up or not. You have to opt in to have the bed made and the bathroom cleaned but when asked they did it immediately.

Great location. Stylish looking hotel. Bed was comfortable in bigger “roomy” room, with some thoughtful extras provided like chocolate, postcards and stamps.

Overcrowded, small and noisy reception area with queue to arrive and depart. The bar/cafe area is difficult to use - too busy and music bit loud. Very expensive rooms

Stayed here to celebrate King’s Day and This was the perfect hotel! The location is amazing and the special touches the hotel itself had for the day were amazing. My only point of criticism is the lobby gets very busy which can be overwhelming but if you like staying somewhere with a bustling city feel to it this is for you?

Room and Location was perfect. Staff were helpful on check in and check out.

A few times during our stay we went down to reception to have a couple of drinks, only to be told by staff we couldn't sit at a table in the restaurant as they are only for people eating - even though the restaurant was not full. All of the seating outside the restaurant was occupied by people on laptops working. One afternoon we decided we would have some snacks at the restaurant so we could get a table/seat. We ordered a bottle of wine which we were told 5 minutes after ordering they had run out of. We then wanted to order some food and were told the fryer was broken so the server told us the few things we could order. Considering how much we were paying I really expected better service, felt like they favoured locals with laptops over paying guests!

Great location, convenient walking distance to Centraal Station and all major attractions/museums. Loved the boutique feel of the hotel, the well appointed rooms and lovely views of the canals.

the breakfast ares could be a bit more cheerful in the morning it feels like more a night venue could be both... fine tuning the colors and ambiance but im splitting hairs...
