Aparthotel Zoku, Amsterdam

Room was nice and compact but had all the needed facilities. Bed was neat and very comfortable and the couch was also. Bathroom was great and we were able to come and go as we pleased but with the reception there if needed.

All was good for the price.

The room is very well designed, with everything you'd need for a short or long stay, and the location is very convenient for the city center. The social area is bright and spacious and very comfortable.

The room felt modern and very clean, and was comfortable, with some really cool features. We liked that the company is a B Corp, and really enjoyed spending time in the bar in the evenings. The beer and bitterballen were delicious!

The hotel's location was perfect. It was on the outskirts of the city centre, so it was super peaceful, but you were still a short tram ride away from everything. The room was a perfect size, and they even had a laundrette, which was super handy.

One of the best places i’ve stayed in Amsterdam! Location wise, hotel facilities, welcoming staff. you can even rent a bike from them and loved that they have a locker room and a shower/changing room for when you check out.

excellent location with lots of narrow walking streets in the neighbourhood. Easy access to the metro and trams, and supermarkets were within walking distance. Like everything else in Amsterdam, it was expensive, but this small room with sufficient facilities was a good compromise for us. The room was small, the bed location (loft) ingenious and comfortable.

After having been in several narrow hotels through Europe, is was very nice to have this room with so much space. We were able to buy some groceries and save some money by cooking there since they have the essential. The staff were incredible nice, the rooftop was super relaxing, we were able to do some laundry. We loved it! I hope they had it in more cities in Europe!

Great location just a couple of stops on the Metro from Centraal Station. The room set up is quirky for sure and not great if you have a need for a middle of the night wee as the steps down from the bed are quite noisy. We loved the big shower.

The bed is not the easiest to get in and out of gracefully and the mattress is HARD! Also the sofa is pretty uncomfortable and really low to get up from.

All was great, the loft bed is unusual but hopping over one another wasn’t a big deal.

Rooftop terrace/coworking space is fantastic, and the staff are all wonderful and helpful for any needs or advice. They have it set up with an excellent balance to enable self service for most things but if you need something someone is always there to help with a smile.

The bed/blankets/pillows left a lot to be desired, especially with no proper A/C (though it was during an uncommonly hot time, usually this is probably not a problem). The bike I rented had issues I didn’t realize until later.

Spacious, friendly staff and great location for centeal Amsterdam. They are also dog friendly which is a great bonus! The roof garden is excellent and a great place to unwind.

The Zoku was really great. I feel bad giving it eight stars, because I could easily give it nine but our specific room smelled. I’m sure it’s just the person who stayed there before us cooked something kind of funky, but that’s the only reason I gave it an eight instead of nine or 10. They were so nice, I’m sure they would have moved me if I had spoken up sooner, so it actually is my fault. But don’t let this stop you from staying there. It is such a cool place and we loved the location. I didn’t know what I was getting into with the whole loft/workspace concept, but it’s great for a traveler as well. The location is about a 10 minute walk into the center of Amsterdam. I loved this, I would not have wanted to stay in the city center after being there a few days. The food was also really great. We had breakfast there and loved it and the coffee and drinks were great. The more I think about it, I will definitely stay there again next time I visit Amsterdam, I’ll just make sure to speak up sooner if the room smells!

the XL Studio was a good place for 2 people. The room and the kitchen is clever equipped. Felt like home for a few days. Loved the roof top and their sharing concept. We will come back for sure.

For the kitchen, there was a kitchen towel missing. I could not find one in the separate room. One of the iron has broken buttons (on the 4th floor) - needs a fix. Please fill up the empty Ice buckets, there were always empty in the separate room.

The apartment is amazing. Smaller but enough room for two. The staff was a highlight - the girls and guys were lovely and polite and very open - greetings to the girly with the Mercedes tattoo!!

Our shower was a little broken but not enough to ask for a new room imo, so nothing to complain. And there were no little milk packets for the coffee

The shared spaces were so beautifully decorated and the staff were so lovely and friendly, the room itself was gorgeous and having the option to turn the lights brightness up and down was a game changer, we will definitely be staying again and will use Zoku again when we visit its other locations in europe!

The social area, terrace and restaurant are beautiful. We love the room too, comfy, very smart layout with plenty of storage. It’s not too far from busy areas, during our stay we mostly went around by foot. Also the luggage storage service is very handy.

Price was high. May have been due to Pride weekend celebrations? Was worth it though because we had such an enjoyable visit.

Super cozy & clean, get all the things you need. The locker room is very convenient for travelers who will be early check-in or late check-out. And the location is perfect to access any sightseeing you would like to visit, train, tram, metro and bus. Ther are also 3 supermarkets nearby, SPAR, Jumbo & AH. Absolutely will visit again, Love Zoku! ❤️

The most friendly, unique and brilliant hotel I have stayed in. I love the loft room concept, it was equipped with everything we could have needed for our stay and was very spacious. The staff were all so kind and helpful and made our stay even better! The hotel is only a short walk from the metro station so is very conveniently located. I hope to stay here again very soon!

Liked the layout, the size, the loft bed, lots of cupboard space, dishwasher, microwave, fridge. Really liked that we could go collect our own towels, extra things from the store room.

Every cupboard door needs cleaning, including the wardrobe which had dirty (black) hand marks build up. The kitchen cupboards were sticky because of not being cleaned in a very long time. Also every flat part had a layer of dust, especially in the loft area next to the bed had an immense amount of dust, I have allergies and wasn't happy to see that. Also the mattress moves overnight and underneath the mattress where our pillow goes, was a ton of ladies hair attached, I was shocked. There was egg bits stuck to the ceiling in the kitchen, to the side of the splashback also. The cleaning is not thorough enough for the standard of this lovely hotel. I was very disappointed with that side of things.

Stayed in the loft room was superb it’s like a small apartment , cooking facilities with good utensils plates pans etc dishwasher , lots of organic tea was in a glass jar for us , good size fridge tv sofa table and chairs loads of space for storage and a very comfortable bed place was lovely and clean great walk in shower , also on the roof where reception is an amazing area to sit and relax lovely bar and food available, fantastic atmosphere we will be using Zoku again for sure

The room could use detailed cleaning. It appeared very clean until you needed to reach for something in the corner. It was only a minor problem. It was loud if you opened the window.

Zoku is an absolute gem! Great location. Wonderful and unique rooms. Awesome top floor with a bar and a restaurant. Beautiful view of the city as you lounge on one of the outdoor patios on the top floor while sipping on a cocktail or a beer and munch on delicious appetizers. Super friendly staff. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

I spent the weekend in Amsterdam and picked this place purely for the location and the reviews but realized once I entered the room that it's not designed like a traditional hotel but more of minimalist apartment, I really like the loft design, the space is very well utilized. Also soo.cool that you have a functioning kitchen and you can cook a meal in your hotel room.
