The Conciege Wim is outstanding and has an exceptional ability to understand his guests needs. The Breakfast was excellent!

My room overlooked the courtyard which was very noisy . I had requested a quiet room. My shower drain was blocked when I first used the shower. The downlighters flickered constantly. The Towel rack was hopeless. Some of the staff were GREAT and others had attitude … so inconsistency of service proposition.

when I specificly request a quiet room beforehand I don't expect a room with a view on a wedding party; when I requested twice another room, my concern was waived away; the courtyard would be closed at 11pm, yet the party was still ongoing at 11 pm; when I called the receptionist, he apologised and explicitly told me they would come back to me upon, which they didn't and at departure, they didn't ask how the stay was, only how the breakfast was; problems can happen but from a LHW I expect to make a difference in how to handle the problem afterwards; they could have made me a regular visitor but instead created frustrated one

Location was excellent. Room very tastefully designed. Staff was well trained and very friendly.

I was placed in the worst room of the hotel, not like the pictures, expected way more for the hotel rating. Was not offered anything in compensation when I complained.

Location was excellent. It was walking distance to the nine streets. The concierge was extremely helpful as it was my first visit to Amsterdam. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Having stayed at several luxury 5 star hotels, the room was nice but not the most luxe. The room was small and there was an open divider to the bathroom, which I've experienced in less expensive hotels. For the price, I expected a little more.

I had an amazing time staying at The Dylan Amsterdam Hotel! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Despite it being a large hotel, they somehow managed to know every guest by name, which made my experience feel so personal and welcoming. The hotel itself is luxurious and incredibly comfortable—everything from the rooms to the overall ambiance made for a relaxing stay. The quality of the food was outstanding as well, adding to the overall experience. A huge shoutout to the reception team, especially Kaylani who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and another special thanks to Amber who very kindly walked with me with an Umbrella in hand through the pouring rain to my taxi outside the hotel. Both Their genuine friendliness made my stay extra special. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service, comfort, and amazing food in Amsterdam.

N/A A side note: I am not sure whether there was a communication issue through booking.com and the Dylan Amsterdam, as the room I booked with a canal view had construction scaffolding on the windows which I was not aware of. The builders were only there from 11 am to 5 pm and I was not in my room during these hours so it was not a problem it just meant that I did not get the best out of the canal view. Maybe in the future there could be better communication between booking.com and the Dylan Amsterdam to inform guests if issues like this beforehand.

So cosy and immaculate. Immaculate. Upscale comfortable furniture and beds. Staff professional, friendly and helpful. The location was quiet but close to all the things we wanted , restaurants, shopping and museums. Could not have been a better choice.

Room uncomfortable with bathroom up very steep, narrow and twisting stairs. No privacy as no curtains, only simple roller shades so light coming in, hum from machines, bad noise isolation, not enough drinking water, beds too soft. Must roll luggage through the breakfast room.

Location is incredible, property is wonderful, and the staff goes out of their way to take care of you.

The location was perfect, staff was was welcoming and incredibly accommodating. We had a lovely room and the ambience of both room and hotel in general was lovely. Polished modern amenities in a historic building is what we love in a hotel. The bar at Occo was very nice as well and the courtyard for drinks was just a perfect place to relax after exploring the city.

The Hotel is stunning. Attention to decor and detail truly worth mentioning. All common areas were beautifully appointed. The Restaurant Vinkeles was incredible. Worth noting it's 2 star Michelin rating. The staff highly trained and accomadative in every way, shape and form. Location terrific. Each room has its own stlye. Just amazing.

We orginally were given a room that was not in the area I requested. However, they did move us the second night to accomadate my request which I greatly appreciated. Only issue with the new room was it was located right above the kitchen and next to the back staircase the staff used leading to the restaurant. A bit noisy after the restaurant closed due to clean up.

The location meant we walked everywhere. The courtyard was fabulous for lunch, drinks etc. Staff were amazing, terrific concierge service

The Dylan is an exceptional true five-star hotel in the heart of the 9 streets area of Amsterdam. My wife and I travelled for our honeymoon and from the moment we arrived, everything was superb. The 7-course Ate tasting menu at the chefs table was also outstanding fine dining. We can’t wait to come back!

Great location. Warm, friendly, helpful staff. Great food at OCCO one of two in-house restaurants.

Set in a captivating older city, with lovely older buildings, there were a few minor tech issues which included: the lack of easily-accessible electrical outlets for charging (1 in bathroom), slightly noisy plumbing, and outdated television. The room overlooked a charming interior courtyard which had occasional noise. Otherwise everything else was exceptional.

Staff were brilliant from the moment we checked in - were sat down and given welcome drinks and a pastry whilst being checked in. Our luggage was then taken to our rooms and we were shown around. We had 2 junior suites with canal views which were absolutely lovely - probably the nicest hotel room that I had stayed in. Bed was extra large and comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel, but their bar war very welcoming and staff excellent - would highly recommend.

The hotel is truly beautiful and classically Dutch in style. I loved the historical features of the building combined with the contemporary interiors. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was extremely comfortable and quiet. We loved the breakfast which was excellent value, and the drinks in the lovely courtyard in the evening. The location is excellent for exploring Amsterdam and we hope to stay again one day!

Possibly a better quality hairdryer and coffee from a proper coffee machine rather than a Nespresso coffee.

Atmosphere and personal approach

The bedroom had an odd configuration. The bathroom had a sliding door and only one sink with an awkward tap for washing.

Service was slow

The staff went above and beyond! Quiet room overlooking the courtyard.
