The room I got was excellent! Pretty quite, clean, stocked with fresh linens and towels, and blackout shades! The bar and workspace areas are also great!

The location was easy - ferry is convenient. Bathrooms were fine and so was mattress.

Toilets need to be cleaned more in depth; doors, handles and hand soap dispensers were dirty. There was also a constant hum noise in the room.

Space. Not many placess in Amsterdam can be attached to this meanning,this one is. It looks,maintained by veterans of tourists,those simple,small nuancess-like solid frames for the beds,to get them stable, or good internet in every corner, or nice bar....

Toalets are easy accessible, but they seems to be...to institiunolised,like in hospitals or prison. A lots of school groups, so expect excitment,unbalanced energy,and 14-18 years olg girls,loudly analysed some important problems

Really close to the city, easy access check in and check out, very nice people, the place was clean.

We knew we were staying in a « youth hostel » style place, but we were hoping for more calm. Several nights people came home laughing and yelling loudly in the corridors, late at night. Moreover the club experience Sunday 3rd of May was unexpected. It didn’t finish late, but we were leaving really soon the next morning, so it was kind of upsetting.

Although the hostel is across the canal, the location is great, as you can quickly reach Amsterdam Central Station using the free ferry. The ferry runs frequently during the day and less often at night. The six-person room is perfectly adequate. It’s great that the rooms have their own toilet and bathroom, although shared facilities are also available in the hallway. The other guests I met were great, but of course, that depends on who you end up sharing with. There was soap in the toilet and shampoo in the bathrooms. It’s best to bring your own towel, or you can buy one at Hema in Central Station if needed. Also, bring your own padlock for the locker. The hostel offers various events every day.

It’s a shame that the window in the room can’t be opened. The toilet and bathroom also don’t have windows, so condensation builds up after showering. The ventilation is poor, which leaves everything in the bathroom damp. Also the price could be little bit lower.

Very youth oriented, young groups abound. Mixed energy, full of just out of the pod but falling over their feet. A mix of other age groups as well.

Very close to train station, nice neighbourhood, close to ferry, close to bike shop, restaurants, excellent staff, especially Leticia, good breakfast

Our room was very small. My husband and I had a private room with bunk beds - nothing else was available.

Very big with tons of places to hang out in, plus the staff was nice.

Location and value for money

In hostel best facilities cannot be expected but existing ones could have been well maintained. There was no toilet roll and was provided after making trip to reception. Shower was faulty, had a cracked pipe from which most water leaked out and very little came out of the faucet.

I really liked the facilities, the overall vibe of the hostel, and its location.

However, what I didn’t like was that it was quite noisy. Some teenagers were shouting in the middle of the night, which made it difficult for me to sleep

Superb location a 3 min free ferry ride from rear of cCentral Station & 400m walk to property.. Breakfast is value for money costing €8.90 if prepaid 1 day ahead ( saving of €1).

Stayed in a single room with ensuite. Room very small, double sized bed squeezed into a corner. Only shower body was & hand cleanser; towels provided. Stay 5 days but room cleaning & change of towels only on 4th day.

Well organised hostel, with simple and tidy rooms and bathrooms. There is an option of female rooms. The cultural programme of the hostel is an interesting addition. Good internet. It looks how you see in their pictures .

The room of 4 beds super small , corridor very narrow , but possible to sleep there. Otherwise good standard.

Beds were actually comfy for the price and the lockers were big enough to fit a ton of stuff. Really liked the social event part later in the day, altough I didn't use it much. Great location, easy to reach via free ferry. Staff was very friendly and helped with requests.

My room (8 bed dormitory) was still being prepared when I arrived (approx 45 min wait after 15:00) but thats okay. However, the toilet, despite being clean, still stank of urine. A spray or scent dispenser or something could really help here.

Rental towels was a bit weird, check out at 10 also a bit too early, but for this money in basically city centre it was very worth it. Breakfast lady is the sweetest. Staff pretty helpful and chill

Easy to catch the ferry over to the main land

Everything is done online so you barely interact with staff. The location is the best, just a few minutes from Centraal station. The bed was comfortable although privacy curtains will be appreciated as some guests arrive late and although some are considerate enough no to turn the room lights on, you wake up with the personal light of each bed. The water pressure of the shower was low inside the room and in the shower by the aisle.

The fact that you need to make your own bed. Specially if you arrive from a long flight from a different time zone and all you want is a bit of rest.

The bad was squeaking and the breakfast very poor and always the same.

The staff was very helpful. Especially in the kitchen downstairs.

There's no fridge or microwave. No safety mats in our rooms bathroom, and all the shower 🚿 water went out everywhere.

The hostel is great! super clean with lot of common spaces for all ages, living together in a super nice happy vibe. You can feel really comfortable here. You have to take the free ferry from the city, but it is perfectly fine, still, close to it, The staff was great, specially one of the guys, (Luke as i recall) really helpfull and caring, specially. Thnks,! Recepcion 24/7 the room, very good, with private bath/shower.

No place to leave your bags for free, which for me it is more than important, specially in Amsterdam that the hostels are expensive, having to charge the extra cost for the locker means to make your increase the night cost a lot.

Absolutely loved the my stay; the hotel was only a few minutes walking from the ferry that takes you to central station, and the hustle and bustle in the lobby with so many different people from all around the world really captured what I expected from a hotel in Amsterdam.

The location is excellent. Very close to Central Station. The hostel is huge, lots of people around and activities for everyone. It's affordable, especially considering how insanely expensive accommodation in Amsterdam is.

The rooms are tiny and pretty basic. No room to put anything. Towels not included and are paid extra. The lockers in the rooms didn't have a padlock, you have to buy that as well. Breakfast was way too basic and no variety whatsoever, and it was definitely too expensive for what it offered.

I liked the location and the safety, easy to reach by ferry and walk, the center is close. There's 24/7 reception and the main door opened only with your room card at night.

The room was not cleaned properly when other guests left.

The breakfast was very school canteen style but ok. Some of the items were out of stock. No milk.

Tea and coffee not available during the evening. The duvet had a huge yellow stain. Unable to.view the final.bill upon.checkout is unacceptable as any issues cannot be resolved. Teenagers literally screaming down the corridors for a few hours for a few nights at gone 10pm unacceptable.

Having to pay for any "extra" fee is very underwhelming every single time. Especially having a luggage room available and still making you pay for a locker after spending a whole week there feels kinda miserable. Same for towels/soap/shampoo.

I paid extra for 4 women only room but the toilet in the room wasn't working! I told the receptionist on Saturday morning but it still wasn't fixed by Sunday morning when I left.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were amazingly clean and taken care of. Room was very comfy. Easily accessible via a ferry from Centraal station. The bar was great! Shout out to the bartender wearing the cap. All in all, a really nice stay!

Laundry machines cost me 10 euro to wash and dry my clothes. While also taking an hour and a half.

I often time to this hostel because of the convenient location and the free ferry service is great. All the amenities are nearby. Great place to meet up with people as well

One room I stayed in for two days didn't have a toilet and bathroom inside the room, which isn't ideal for someone with a health condition. But most rooms I gad been before do have that.
