ClinkNOORD Hostel, Amsterdam

Well organised hostel, with simple and tidy rooms and bathrooms. There is an option of female rooms. The cultural programme of the hostel is an interesting addition. Good internet. It looks how you see in their pictures .

The room of 4 beds super small , corridor very narrow , but possible to sleep there. Otherwise good standard.

Good location, friendly staff, cheap luggage storage.

It was all fine but room v small for the price and mattress v thin.

Beds were actually comfy for the price and the lockers were big enough to fit a ton of stuff. Really liked the social event part later in the day, altough I didn't use it much. Great location, easy to reach via free ferry. Staff was very friendly and helped with requests.

My room (8 bed dormitory) was still being prepared when I arrived (approx 45 min wait after 15:00) but thats okay. However, the toilet, despite being clean, still stank of urine. A spray or scent dispenser or something could really help here.

Rental towels was a bit weird, check out at 10 also a bit too early, but for this money in basically city centre it was very worth it. Breakfast lady is the sweetest. Staff pretty helpful and chill

Easy to catch the ferry over to the main land

Everything is done online so you barely interact with staff. The location is the best, just a few minutes from Centraal station. The bed was comfortable although privacy curtains will be appreciated as some guests arrive late and although some are considerate enough no to turn the room lights on, you wake up with the personal light of each bed. The water pressure of the shower was low inside the room and in the shower by the aisle.

The fact that you need to make your own bed. Specially if you arrive from a long flight from a different time zone and all you want is a bit of rest.

The location was near the city center and the staff was super nice!

The bad was squeaking and the breakfast very poor and always the same.

The staff was very helpful. Especially in the kitchen downstairs.

There's no fridge or microwave. No safety mats in our rooms bathroom, and all the shower 🚿 water went out everywhere.

The hostel is great! super clean with lot of common spaces for all ages, living together in a super nice happy vibe. You can feel really comfortable here. You have to take the free ferry from the city, but it is perfectly fine, still, close to it, The staff was great, specially one of the guys, (Luke as i recall) really helpfull and caring, specially. Thnks,! Recepcion 24/7 the room, very good, with private bath/shower.

No place to leave your bags for free, which for me it is more than important, specially in Amsterdam that the hostels are expensive, having to charge the extra cost for the locker means to make your increase the night cost a lot.

Absolutely loved the my stay; the hotel was only a few minutes walking from the ferry that takes you to central station, and the hustle and bustle in the lobby with so many different people from all around the world really captured what I expected from a hotel in Amsterdam.

The location is excellent. Very close to Central Station. The hostel is huge, lots of people around and activities for everyone. It's affordable, especially considering how insanely expensive accommodation in Amsterdam is.

The rooms are tiny and pretty basic. No room to put anything. Towels not included and are paid extra. The lockers in the rooms didn't have a padlock, you have to buy that as well. Breakfast was way too basic and no variety whatsoever, and it was definitely too expensive for what it offered.

I liked the location and the safety, easy to reach by ferry and walk, the center is close. There's 24/7 reception and the main door opened only with your room card at night.

The room was not cleaned properly when other guests left.

The breakfast was very school canteen style but ok. Some of the items were out of stock. No milk.

Tea and coffee not available during the evening. The duvet had a huge yellow stain. Unable to.view the final.bill upon.checkout is unacceptable as any issues cannot be resolved. Teenagers literally screaming down the corridors for a few hours for a few nights at gone 10pm unacceptable.

The room is dark and it was pleasant but the other people i was with the same room smoked and its really smelly also they are loud

Having to pay for any "extra" fee is very underwhelming every single time. Especially having a luggage room available and still making you pay for a locker after spending a whole week there feels kinda miserable. Same for towels/soap/shampoo.

I paid extra for 4 women only room but the toilet in the room wasn't working! I told the receptionist on Saturday morning but it still wasn't fixed by Sunday morning when I left.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were amazingly clean and taken care of. Room was very comfy. Easily accessible via a ferry from Centraal station. The bar was great! Shout out to the bartender wearing the cap. All in all, a really nice stay!

Laundry machines cost me 10 euro to wash and dry my clothes. While also taking an hour and a half.

I often time to this hostel because of the convenient location and the free ferry service is great. All the amenities are nearby. Great place to meet up with people as well

One room I stayed in for two days didn't have a toilet and bathroom inside the room, which isn't ideal for someone with a health condition. But most rooms I gad been before do have that.

I had a very good time here. The place is very close to Amsterdam Centraal, just a boat away (which is free) and you're there. The staff was amazing (shoutout to Natalia and the other bartenders/barmaids whose names I couldn't get) for their professionalism and attention. This place feels very LGBTQ friendly too. They have a few evening activities. Not expensive at all for 3 nights.

Trying to think of bad stuff to mention but honestly there's not much to say. Maybe the cocktails were a bit pricey? Idk lol

On the day of checking in I managed to lock in my keys which made it impossible to open the locker. Gabriel was the hero who brought a tool and cut through my padlock. After the first day I had a good time here. The room faced east so I could see amazimg sunrises with purple pinkish sky. Wonderful! Common area is very cozy and it's possible to make a tea during the day.

There is no microwave, and the hairdryer is in the room.

Great area easy to get to room was clean. It was perfect for what we needed and very reasonably priced.

The location was fun, the staff were friendly, there was access to a small locker after check-out for storage, a photo-booth, some activities on in the evening in the lounge area. Cafe and common spaces.

Could see quite a lot of dirt on the shower door etc, rooms need to be deep cleaned more often. The water in the shower goes everywhere and the protective screen barely helps with anything. A simple reusable squeegee for the floor would make a huge difference with this, otherwise the floor stays wet. Hot water access is far downstairs so it might get cold by the time you go back to your room. I felt itchy after waking up for some reason. The mattress did seen to have a protective cover for easy clean and prevent creatures though? 👍

The location is easy to access from the train station. Loved how many common spaces there are to use, super great installations. The rooms of 4 females are nice and quiet, with ensuite bathroom. Everything was clean overall and very nice looking !

Bigger common rooms were a no-go in comparison... Also it feels like you have to pay for everything besides your reservation, like not being able to just drop luggage while waiting for your room or after check-out (even if they have more than enough room to store it downstairs) :( unpleasant touch.

Very little space in 4-person rooms

Convenient and good value stopover in an excellent location for the station an city centre (short ride on over the water on the free, 24hr ferry). Not fancy but had everything I needed for a night's rest. Breakfast was highly recommended - I'm usually sceptical about hostel breakfasts but went for this one for convenience as I had to catch a train. In fact it was excellent value for money and a great selection of fresh food.

There was an issue where the shower wet room leaked water into the toilet next to it, so the floor in the loo was all wet (pretty sure it was that and not piss!). Also (not the hostel's fault) but there was a guy in my room who kept watching stuff on his phone without headphones or having phone conversations when I was trying to sleep. Why do people do that?!

I love the vibe of the hostel. As a first-timer, the facility was properly built and everything was ready. Looking forward to staying again.

The location and the amenities were great. The staff was mostly friendly.

The lighting in the room wasn't good; the single overhead light wasn't optimal, and the bunk bed lights were too bright (it would be nice to be able to adjust their brightness). Better lighting would make the room much nicer. A simple desk would help in the 2 person rooms. And the curtains didn't open all that much. The bathroom could use a scraper to make cleaning after showers easier; the water was just everywhere.

Hotel is loud all the time, you can head people in the rooms next to you so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
