Sofitel Corniche, Abu Dhabi

It was a comfortable hotel with good bedding and pillows, rooms were a good size

Housekeeping was very hit and miss, 1 day they forgot to clean our room and I had to complain twice to reception. On two occasions they took 1 bathrobe away and again had to complain. Not a great experience for the price paid. No beach next to hotel.

The windows were filthy and I mean FILTHY i don’t know when they were last washed , but it’s not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel

The property is not new and beginning to show its age. Furnishings carpets etc all nearing the end of their life for a five star hotel.

When booking via booking.com, no ALL privileges or credit. Lunch buffet very simple, Coke and Fanta included, but not sparkling water 😉

The location was ok, it’s at the end of Corniche near the port, so there is no sandy beach or restaurants exactly opposite the hotel. From outside the building is beautiful, there are 2 pools.

The room appeared to be clean on the surface but it was really dusty and not very clean. The room has a smell of dust and non ventilated room, probably because of the carpet in the room. Every time you turn on the bed, a cloud of dust appears.
The firs night the bed has a mattress topper which made the bed uneven - it was overflown in the middle and we were almost falling on the sides. Then we asked and they removed it.
The breakfast was ok.
They have a weird policy about their glasses. They have 2 pools but only one pool has a bar and you are not allowed to take your drink to the other pool.

Excellent breakfast buffet, and the sea bass at Chillo's was very good.
Great to have a shuttle to Louvre, and from there you can get a free shuttle to nearby national institutions - National History museum, Abrahamic Family House and Natural History Museum.

Clearer instructions about where to pick up return shuttle from Louvre to the hotel.

A really nice hotel. Very comfortable. Soundproofing was excellent. Great variety at breakfast. The small pool while not as nice gets sun. Spar shop is on site which is convenient. A good location with easy access to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

At breakfast it’s missing fresh coffee. They only had a machine. 2 pools… The large one doesn’t get sun in winter. Too cold to sit out in late Jan.

Location is good. Staff is kind. Hotel has the required amenities. Shuttle service to Yas Island was prompt and good. It is suitable for Family stay with kids.

Bed wasn't very comfortable and was bit uneven. Room too needs maintenance considering the 5 star hotel rating. Indian breakfast options can be improved.

There wasn't a bad thing about the breakfast.

The swimming pool was very nice, the rooms clean, the staff was kind and professional and the breakfast was delicious with many options :)

Because we had to leave in a hurry we wanted to take some things with us from our breakfast table (croissant + fruit), but they told us we are not allowed to take anything with us outside of the restaurant. I thought this was a pity as we are wasting food (it was already on our plates so they cannot put it back) & we would take it in our hands so no extra packaging was needed :(

Just a good hotel

A lot of overpriced stuff and the quality is alright not great. We have spent a good time for money but not more than that.

Hotel is on the Corniche and immediately in the neighborhood you have all one could need, cafes, restaurants, laundry, tailors, barbers, shops, etc ….
Nice spacious rooms though.

The rooftop bar needs urgently a revamp as it is outdated, and not really a cozy and welcoming place. Also as picture attached the food people put out their doors should be removen and not left there until the very next day 😞
Pool area rather small and kids running around and screaming does not make it a cozy place to relax and have a bite or drink.

Location and friendliness of the staff, breakfast was amazing. Quick responsiveness of the staff to change our room, as the AC in our room did not work at night.

The pool is overshadowed by the building itself in the morning time, the parking service staff are chaotic, sometimes they loses the keys sometimes they take too long to bring the car.

It is really comfy! I love the facilities. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi.

Bath tub is really confusing, I have to call the desk to ask them open it for me, later I realized it is just too stiffed thats why I cant open it. Even the lights on the hall way, sometimes it is not working.

I did not be told or guided by the staff about breakfast time and idea about facilities in the hotel at the beginning of check-in, which is ready considered as negative thing

The location is close to all major malls, and office areas making movements in between very easy. It's close proximity to the sea provides breathtaking views and the bank is just around the corner.

All hot water kettles need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned. They are stained with limescale which makes taking that cup of coffee or tea very unpleasant.

I recently stayed one night at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche and was genuinely impressed by the overall experience. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with excellent amenities that made the stay very comfortable. The attention to detail in the décor and the quality of the furnishings truly stood out.

While I didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast or use the pool, the hospitality and service level were consistently high throughout my short stay.

A couple of small suggestions for improvement: it would be great to have separate tissue boxes available in both the bedroom and the bathroom, and it would be thoughtful to have prayer mats pre-placed in the room for guests who need them.
