Excellent friendly staff, great breakfast, loved the lobby bar!!

The only thing and it's really not that much of an issue is the room was a little on the small side, we had travelled internationally so had quite a few large cases other than that it would of been fine!

Friendly staff with a vibrant setting

Best hotel experience I'd had of late. Stayed with my best friend in a twin room which was super comfortable. Beds were amazing (although I only realised in the morning there was a pillow menu as I'm not a fan of feather pillows). Room is tight but all you need, bathroom generous for a room of this size. Just loved all the details, everything feels so curated and bespoke. We were staying for a concert in Town Hall which was an easy walk. Lots of eating and drinking options within the hotel. Would 100000% go back!

Funky vibe to the hotel. We stayed in the large room so if felt spacious for the night. Nice lower cbd view. Great location for what we were doing for the night.

Bathroom was very dark and there was no coffee pod machine only instant coffee, seriously what is the 90s? Construction noise next door from 7am.

Great location. Room was good size with all amenities. Had room on 10th floor which was very quiet. Staff at the desk were extremely helpful and polite

Breakfast wasn’t included, but was actually thankful as it wasn’t great and v expensive for what you got. Plenty of better places nearby to have breakfast- AP Bakery

The room itself felt very new and clean; we got a free upgrade to a medium sized room and it was certainly better than the original small one we sought. The interior design is very neat and I appreciated what seemed like sound proofing? The room was quiet and the perfect temperature, controlled by ourselves.

I don’t like the placement of the room’s drain, as it’s right where one would stand in front of the sink to do anything. No slippers were provided and everything extra did cost quite a bit more than I expected. The lighting in the toilet and shower areas was very dim; can be relaxing for some, but for others, it’s a struggle to see which flush button to push.

Great design and art through the hotel, some surprising interventions by artists like Jason Phu, Tony Albert, Julia Gutman and more The overall design was also of a very high standard.and much more enjoyable than the average "corporate " style hotel.

The venue exceeded our expectations from the images provided, it was very comfortable and the large room was lovely and comfortable, the touches of the guitar and record player in the room added to the ambience. Room service from Loam Restaurant was just as good upstairs in the room as it was downstairs in the restaurant.

The onsite cafe Good Chemistry had good coffee but the food options were disappointing

Great cool vibe, loved the room, excellent bed and all facilities superb. Having a guitar and record deck in the room just added to the ambiance.

Loved the rooms - high ceilings, super comfortable bed, huge lounge area, perfectly appointed. Loved the bath and the record player. We will be back.

The attention to detail was amazing and the staff were so friendly, warm and accomodating. The furnishings are stunning, the bed was soooooo comfy and the little touches (like the Deiji Studios robes) were so luxe. The location was great, the overall “vibe” of the hotel is grungy / factory / exposed brick but with a “levelled up” feel of luxury. The rooftop bar Kiln was also divine, so beautiful and chic. Would definitely stay here again and looking forward to it!

Very small room but this was OK as we didn't spend a lot of time in there and everything else made up for this

Great location, close to a lot of popular restaurants and bars in Surry Hills. Great bar downstairs and a good (albeit compact) gym.

Rooms are lovely but fairly small and there is very little privacy in terms of the way the bathroom is set up (shower and toilet doors open straight into the bedroom). Just something to be mindful of!

very nice hotel in the museum area with lots of nearby restaurants and bars. Room had a large balcony and city view. staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. i’d stay here again.

Staff are outstanding and the lobby bar is just such an wonderful place to hang out for breakfast, reading and coming back after dinner to a dj and ending the night perfectly!! We couldn’t be more impressed and it’s the same every time we stay.

Love everything about the ACE Hotel. Especially the beds like sleeping on clouds. The overall vibe is so cool, love the DJ in the bar and the breakfast is sensational.

Really nice hotel in a great location. Loved the rooms and the record player in the room. Staff really friendly and helpful. A choice of bars and restaurants within the building and around. Highly recommend this place and will be back for sure!

This was the nicest stay I’ve had anywhere. Every detail was perfect. Every product was branded and well thought of. We had a long stay and enjoyed it very much. Daily room cleanings 24-7 staff. It was just amazing!

The fruit breakfast was not the same standard as other excellent meals as the fruit was not fresh and some was bruised

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Great vibe, awesome decor, all the mod cons. Would definitely recommend!

The tea selection was pretty sub par and the mugs were very small. This is a tiny issue, but as a tea drinker, I was a bit disappointed.

The staff was friendly, helpful and fun. Cannot say enough positive things about them!!! Hotel is located in Surry Hills, in walking distance from the train station and Hyde Park. Great vibe.

The lighting in the room was driving me crazy. lol. Mood lighting in the shower and toilet area - barely enough to see! Shaving legs ? Forget about it! Also, when you turned one light off, another one went on. One light was on all night - only way to shut all lights off was to pull the keycard - which shuts off the A/C.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a unique and thoughtfully curated design in every corner. The restaurants are excellent, and we were lucky to enjoy a weekend with fantastic live music. The staff is very friendly and attentive. After staying at the Ace in New York and Sydney, our next destination is Japan!

We booked two large rooms, but one was noticeably smaller than the other. Although the staff made an effort to offer a replacement, we didn’t quite get what we originally reserved. Housekeeping didn’t vacuum the room during our stay.

The reception staff actively found me a room knowing I’d arrived very early in the morning after a 26 hour commute from London. They also accommodated me for an extra night when there was the fire at Heathrow. Their cafe and room service was amazing- I dare you to find a better breakfast and the bed and pillows! Even when dealing with uk to au jetlaf they made all the difference.

I have told all the friends who came to Sydney for the same event as me that they should have booked the ace. This was my second visit and I love everything about it. The reception, cafe and bar staff are lovely, the rooms are clean and so well designed and comfortable and the service is fab. There is nothing I don’t like about it - I’ve been so well taken care of. The only disaster was a fire alarm at 8am when id been up at a party quite late the night before but totally out of their control and they got us back to our rooms really quickly.

A great stay in a terrace room. Thank you to all the staff for making the trip extra special! There’s a great bar downstairs and all the facilities you’d need. Big plus having an ice machine too!

A really lovely hotel with beautiful design features, handy restaurants and helpful staff. Easy access to Central Station, Haymarket and China Town.

Hip, well furnished and appointed rooms and facilities in a great central location. Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Kiln the upstairs restaurant.

Lighting in room a little dark in shower and toilet. Very hard to see in the night, a very dim sensor night light would be good.

Front entrance was not wheelchair accessible, not sure if there was an alternate entrance which was. Staff were very helpful with suitcases.

The Pillows hurt my neck

We had a great stay here. The interior and facilities are new. The room is quiet and clean. With washing machine and kitchen, it’s very convenient for laundry and cooking.
