Cortiina Hotel, Munich

The service was absolutely outstanding. The restaurant very good. Lovely furnished rooms in a great location.

A lovely stay. Really great location. The room was spacious and quiet and had all you needed. The central location was perfect for shopping and exploring the Christmas markets

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations. We booked the two bedroom suite. Upon walking in, we were impressed with how spacious it was - probably the largest hotel room we’ve been in in Europe. There was also an accident where I knocked over a vase at check-in. The staff were very understanding and happily cleaned up the mess I made.

The hotel restaurant is amazing too. Breakfast was tasty and a treat to start the day. In the late afternoon, guests can sit down for complimentary hot tea and some desserts. That was a very much welcomed treat!

Lastly, the location is great! We walked everywhere from there. Can’t believe there’s such a gem in Munich - highly recommended.

Elevated tubs challenging but keep with hotel style, key entry to room door with just 1 key was a challenge as we had room at end of hall very dimly lit and hard to see keyhole

The room was spacious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my bed. I had a great sleep, and the room was even bigger than I had anticipated.

I didn’t use many of the facilities, such as the breakfast and gym, so the room and everything else was great.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff, so welcoming, so friendly and helpful and always going that extra mile to ensure you are happy. The location of the Cortina Hotel could not be any closer to the main platz, the Hofbrauhaus, and many restaurants like the Ratskeller, so convenient. The accommodation itself was well laid out, very clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. Classy restaurant and bar just adds to the luxury at the Cortina Hotel.

I don't think i would want to change anything about this hotel that could make it better.

I liked everything but especially the staff - absolutely the best I've experienced in many years (and then I have some +180 visit at different hotels during the last 26 years). I had to be brought in hospital urgently in the middle of the night and without the staff in the reception things could really have been turning bad, so many thanks to all the staff.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room

The location was perhaps a bit too central -- we didn't expect striptease bars on the same street. Probably our fault, but something others may wish to know, too. It wasn't sleazy and certainly not threatening, but also not the best one could have hoped for.

Charming old world European boutique hotel, fantastic location, lovely staff who were tremendously helpful

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center.
The air-conditioning is good.
The rooms are of a good size with a fridge (at least in the main building), but placed in an awkward place to access.
The room was well-equipped. One can ask for a hot-water kettle from the reception.
Breakfast is wonderful and esthetic. (One note : The chef sprinkles green onion on almost everything, which was problematic for my wife's allergy.)
Service at reception was fantastic and extremely helpful, as good as in a 5-star hotel.

The hotel has a new annex where we got our first room. We couldn't breath in the room because of the straw carpet, so we got a replacement room in the main building,
The beds in the hotel are a catastrophe with a mattress of only 15 cm. You may ask the hotel for a "topper" that improves the bed a bit. For a couple, if one moves than the other feels it in the mattress.
The window curtains don't stop the light very good, so the advice is not to get a street-side room.
The bathroom equipment is rather basic. It shares strangely enough a large glass wall with the room which is closed with sliding doors that don't however do a perfect job. The shower is a cheap model, and the sink always has water left at the bottom.

Bar was nice and happening; pricing is steep, but that is Munich city for you. Staff is Forbes 5* :)
Very personalized service- top notch!

While the bathroom door look very stylish and Zen, they do not provide a noise barrier which can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep while your partner is taking a shower or getting ready.

The staff was so amazing. The hotel was comfortable- a bit quirky and the double room was very small but my deluxe room was great.

Room lay out quirky- but I guess that's the charm. The bathroom door was right near the bed and awkward. The gym had no AC :(

The location was perfect for restaurants and museums and sites!

Location was perfect right in the middle of the old town area. The rooms are of good size and tastefully done.

They said they cannot give us an extra bed for child in one of our two rooms (which at the time of booking was not disclosed).

Excellent, varied breakfast. Well kept hotel and very helpful and polite staff. Wish I could have stayed longer!!

The location was excellent to walk to everything we wanted to see and restaurants everywhere. The hotel is upscale and chic. The staff here were friendly and never let you walk by without a greeting and offering assistance

Hallways are almost too dark to see to put your key in the door. Breakfast is expensive for more than a couple nights $35 euros
