Hotel Frantz, Stockholm

Design, location and great breakfasts.

The staff at Hotel Frantz were absolutely wonderful. I am a super light sleeper and the room we had originally was above the bar so was a little noisy for me and the staff switched our room no problem which was super kind. The breakfast was fantastic and so was the location. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough!

The one thing to consider is if you have heavy baggage there's no lift. No issue but just for awareness.

It was simply perfect. The family room was very spacious and looked newly renovated. Mattresses are incredibly comfortable, slept like babies! The inclusive breakfast was super diverse and with many many options - we haven’t even expected that level of food for breakfast. But the biggest star of our stay was the receptionist Sophie, who was absolutely stellar. Every hotel in the world should have their own Sophie! She made sure we are taken care of from the moment we stepped in, until our check out. Such professionalism, friendliness and care for the clients is rarely seen these days - Sophie you are A STAR!!

Wonderful hotel. Sympathetically resorted. So cosy and welcoming. Perfect location by the station. Fabulous breakfast, lovely room, friendly people. I can’t think of a fault. If you come to Stockholm stay here!

The staff, and beds are amazing. It's probably the comfiest and coziest hotel I've been staying at. Literally can't think of anything bad regarding the staff - lovely people.

Breakfast: a minor minor comment, please have regular oats and not with cinnamon etc. in it, that one can add after if they want. Getting ready for work with a bad lightning is not great hehe.. would appreciate better light in the bathroom.

Service was fabulous, room was gorgeous & the breakfast was delicious!! Very comfy beds! Also fabulous location.

it would be nice to have a floor mat for shoes, especially during winter, and a chair to put clothes or a bag on.

Beautiful building. Stylish room with good bunk beds for the kids in a little extra annex. Comfy beds. Restaurant and bar were nice.

No lift. Bathroom was beautiful but a bit impractical with not much space for toiletries. Mirror lighting terrible.

The morning buffet was especially fabulous - best morning buffet I ever had in my life. Better than restaurants that I have visited in Stockholm, both in quality and quantity. Easily accessible to the subway as well.

The breakfast was amazing! Very clean, stylish design in rooms. It had everything one needed. The location of the hotel was great too. Staff were helpful and present. I particularly liked the availability of a great shampoo/conditioner/lotion in the bathroom.

The sink in the bathroom was too small to wash your face in! I appreciate they did the best to make use of the small bathroom but the size of the sink is good enough to wash your hands in. I didn't like the dish cloth they provided for the hands either!

Everything. The rooms were well set, comfortable and stylish. Staff was sincere, helpful and great. Location was perfect - right by the boat service and the T. Restaurant was exceptional as was the bar. Couldn't have asked for a better stay at an awesome boutique hotel in a great location.

The only thing I can think of and it's minor would have been assistance with the luggage up the stairs and possibly a small fridge in the room to keep drinks.

Wonderful location, beautifully restored building, amazing breakfast.

Not unexpected in an historic restored building, but the room was very tight for sleeping and luggage.

The hotel itself was just beautiful. Amazingly renovated building that kept its old charm and history. The decor and fit out was stunning.

Location is good for those who came Stockholm first time, just next to the metro station. Old and historical building, so mesmerizing. Rooms are well designed but pretty small otherwise everything was perfect. Especially the breakfast. So delicious and various. Staffs are so kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

Room a little small with not enough storage for a longer stay.

It was a little hard to find for taxis. Found it odd not to have drawers or a closet to hand clothing.

Great location, in Stockholm’s coolest neighbourhood. The breakfast is extraordinary, possibly the best we ever had.

The standard room is quite small, the bathroom in particular in quite a squeeze. Probably worth going for the deluxe room if you can.

Spotless room with high end furnishings in super location. Delicious breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. They even provided a breakfast to-go bag for us when we had to leave for the airport early on our last morning!

Small room, but loved the efficient use of space.

A true hidden gem…quirky and tasteful decor, clean, comfortable…just what we like. A few steps to the subway made it so convenient because in one stop, we were in the old town. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the bar was cozy and fairly priced.

Nice boutique hotel in the south of Södermalm. Great neighbourhood with lots of bars, restaurants and great shopping. Walking distance to Gamla Stan’s old town. The subway is right in front of t of the hotel. There’s a nice restaurant in the hotel.

There are some gipsies in front of the hotel and some construction which makes the area a little unpleasant to walk through. On the first night we had s room facing the street and it was too noisy. We moved to another room facing the court which was perfect.

The breakfast is exceptional.

There was an unfortunate sewer smell for some reason which may have been caused by city work in the alley.

Perfect location - close to everything we wanted to see in Stockholm and great public transport. The bed was so comfy and the rooms were the largest we found in that price range. Included breakfast was a huge spread and delicious!

It was fine for us - but there is no elevator. So it's not handicap accessible and it's quite a climb. I'd request something on Floor 1.

The hotel had some really great charm and history to it. It’s been wonderfully renovated and updated. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. There is no elevator on site but we didn’t mind. The breakfast was outstanding !

The location was a bit odd - kind of in a grundgy area but overall decently central and right close to the Slussen Transit station.

The room was well laid out albeit a little small. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff was very friendly. The intention was to stay in Sodermalm but being able to access the rest of the city as well. It was extremely conveniently positioned. And surprisingly very quiet too!

The beds were a little too big for the room and initially it felt a little claustrophobic for 2 people. The chair in the room is way too heavy and large. The possibility of packing 2 suitcases at the same time would be helpful.

Comfortable, charming and clean boutique hotel. It was perfect for our family of 4 and the breakfast was exceptional. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of space in the family room (with bunks). You have to haul your luggage up the stairs, but they are not steep and they are solid.

Not really any dislikes! Our driver had a hard time finding it, but it was midnight and he was unfamiliar. Not a big deal, the hotel staff were very welcoming and got us situated quickly.

Breakfast fantastic. Location excellent. We had stayed the previous week in a smaller room so it was great to have the bigger room on the second visit.

Not a dislike, just a thing to note when making a reservation- there is no elevator, only stairs.

Born and bred in Stockholm but currently living abroad, this is my favourite hotel when visiting my former hometown. Hotel Frantz has everything you can wish for: great location close to public transport, cosy and very comfortable rooms, an amazing breakfast, extremely friendly and accommodating staff.
