I recently had the pleasure of staying in Hotel Jugend during a trip to Helsinki, and I must say, it was a lovely experience! The hotel is ideally situated in a central location, making it easy to explore the city’s many attractions. Despite the chilly weather outside, the hotel offered a warm and cozy atmosphere that made my stay incredibly comfortable. The decor was charming, and the inviting ambiance felt like a true escape from the cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. The combination of a great location, cozy accommodations, and a welcoming environment truly made this hotel feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend

While I appreciated that dinner was included, I opted not to eat at the hotel due to limited dining options. It would have been nice to see a bit more variety in the menu. Additionally, I was disappointed to find there was no water provided in the room. Having water available is a basic necessity, especially when you want to make tea or coffee. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but these aspects could certainly be improved for a more comfortable experience.

Nice hotel located about 20 minutes from the city center. The room was very compact and not very comfortable, as there was hardly any space—even opening a suitcase was difficult. It was acceptable for one night, but not ideal for a longer stay. On the positive side, the complimentary fika and dinner were a nice touch. However, the “dinner” is quite simple: one main dish (which changes daily), a soup, and about 3–4 salad options.

The bathroom had a sliding door, and the glass wall did not provide much privacy, which was a downside.

Everything was great. The building was amazing with a lot of really nice Art Nouveau details mixed with great modern touches. The rooms and bathrooms were very nice, and the temperature inside the whole building was always perfect. The staff were very helpful and nice, and the sauna was very chic. The breakfast was very complete, both with what I think would be more traditional finish breakfast options, but also a lot of international alternatives.

I didn't give it a 10 because, prior to the day I stayed alone, I stayed in a room with the extra bed, and the extra bed was really uncomfortable, but the staff was really nice and did try to get me an extra comforter to put over the mattress. Additionally, I did not enjoy the dinners as much, as they lacked diversity between the days.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, excellent choices fir breakfast. The 5 minute walk to departure gate.

Staff was very nice and polite. The room was small but w 2 people fit fine and we found our way around so no problem at all. The bed was very comfortable and the was able to cast whatever was on our phone so Netflix and YouTube worked fine. As far as the food, was tasty and option were available. What i really liked was that the hours that breakfast was served were really convenient for holidays. Overall our stay was very pleasant.

The only thing worth mentioning is that if your are not really close with the person you are staying with the bathroom would be a problem. Not only transparent but also not a proper door. You could see and hear everything. Also getting from the reception to the rooms was an adventure but it didn't bother us. Maybe someone with a disability would have a hard time though.

“The hotel is located close to the city center and offers a good selection for breakfast. Dinner is served with a fixed daily menu, consisting of one type of soup, salad, and main course; although the choice is limited, the food was tasty. The room was clean and sufficiently spacious. The bathroom has an unusual shower design connected to the room with transparent walls, which may feel like a lack of privacy for some guests. The staff were friendly and helpful.

If you are visiting for the first time, it can be quite difficult to understand how to enter the hotel, as everything is accessed with a key that you don’t yet have. Fortunately, other guests were heading to dinner and we were able to get inside. We also didn’t know that the car must be driven directly into the underground garage, as parking in the hotel courtyard is not allowed. This information could be explained by the hotel administration in advance, for example in the booking confirmation. The garage is quite narrow and costs €28 per day, payable at reception. Exiting the garage is also tricky, as the elevator is painted in a way that blends into the wall and is hard to notice. The transparent bathroom wall, through which you can be seen from the room, does not allow you to feel comfortable.

Location is great. Easy taxi from Helsinki airport. Room is a good size to cater for a couple (with 2x suitcases each). Aesthetically so wonderful, staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is incredible!! Breakfast, Fika and dinner all included. Gym is great too with a sonic machine for recovery. Very sustainable too. It was a perfect first 3 days in Finland.

Friendly and efficient service. Comfortable beds and nice rooms. We only stayed one night in Helsinki but the hotel was perfect for our needs. We had the half board option and breakfast was great. Limited options for dinner but the food was home cooked and plentiful.

Nothing. Everything was good about the hotel. Only thing to mention is the street the hotel is on had some restrictions on the types of tyres for vehicles and this meant that our Uber drivers dropped us around the corner. This is nothing to do with the hotel and was really not a problem for us but worth noting if you are getting dropped off there are no spikes in tyres allowed.

The bed was very uncomfortable, I didn't sleep for all 3 nights.

No ramp at the entrance of hotel. Difficult to go to room with luggage since the floor has a lot of blockage that hinders pulling the luggage

Visiting with my adult daughter it was nice to have a spacious room with two beds. The shower space with the semi-transparent walls was not optimal - while it was not clear glass it was still transparent enough to see a glowing body taking a shower. This might make some families feel uncomfortable - fortunately this was not a problem for us. Food was good, but nothing outstanding - if you want a culinary Helsinki experience it would be better not to eat dinner here. They were very accommodating when it came to my daughter's vegan needs, and made food specifically for her upon request.

The outlets to charge phones were next to the beds, but unusually high up, making them inconvenient to charge and use.

Lovely hotel, pretty close to Helsinki center. Remarkable historical building with architectural character, cozy and comfortable rooms. The most pleasant surprise was the absolutely wonderful breakfast, with lots of choices - healthy and traditional - and the high quality food served during dinner. We will certainly have in mind to visit again this hotel on our next visit to Helsinki.

It seems that the hotel manager is only interested in Scandinavian visitors, otherwise it's completely beyond my perception the fact that the large TV set in our room was programmed ONLY for Scandinavian channels ! No BBC, CNN, Bloomberg etc. Naturally NO NETFLIX as well !!! To make it even worst, there was no way to turn on English subtitles in the TV menu. So the TV was practically useless. Quite a pity.

The location was fantastic. The lobby and the rooms were beautiful. The breakfast and dinner that they offer included in the price was absolutely fantastic each and every night, they also offer afternoon, coffee and pastry as well.

Great location for central Helsinki, staff were very welcoming and helpful, food was fantastic and room was great. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to mention really - thought the hotel was good all around. Room cleaning was a little random sometimes - one day bed made, no clean towels, then towels but bed unmade - not a big deal.

Super nice location, close to downtown. Perfect accomodation if you want to discover Helsinki. Vety nice rooms and building looks realy good. Very reasonably priced, considering what it offers.

It is just a very minor point, I was a bit disapointed by only lactose free milk during breakfast.

The food was delicious, the staff were helpful but not intrusive, the hotel’s design was very pleasant, and everything was perfectly clean. The hotel is close to everything — shops and the city center are within a 5–10 minute walk. The area is quiet, peaceful, and very clean.

It would have been nice to have a desk in the room, but I really loved the armchair with the footrest. The glass wall around the shower was quite inconvenient — my teenage son and daughter had to shower with the lights off because they were embarrassed in front of each other. If people who are not a couple share the room, this can be quite uncomfortable. Reaching the reception through the car entrance is not the best idea, but overall I was satisfied and would be happy to return to this hotel.

Perfectly located among Helsinki’s modern buildings, we found this incredible hotel that blends history and contemporary design .

Perfect location, a small but well-equipped gym featuring the most modern equipment and everything you might need. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful — breakfast offered plenty of options, and dinner was generous and delicious.

An exceptionally beautiful hotel in a great location - everything is easy to reach from here! We were welcomed warmly, the room was lovely, and the food was incredible... and complimentary! We were honestly sad to check out. I'd come back again in an instant, we had a wonderful time.

The location was good, not far from a bus and tram stop and not far to walk to the main centre. The hotel was lovely, well kept, and the room very comfortable and nicely set up. The best bit was the included breakfast, Fika and evening meal. The food was good and plentiful and saved a small fortune over eating out.
