Rooftop

Very central and close to everything. Common spaces were great. Loved the rooftop! I also liked that my room had a little balcony.

Wasn’t a fan of the sink being in the middle of my room (not a big deal).

Great location and welcoming modern decor!

The place is very clean, looks very cozy, has all the facilities you need, the location is right in the center, everything you need is within reach. The rooftop is very nice, and there are always activities going on. It was my second time at this hostel, and I’d choose it every time, the staff is always helpful, friendly and go out of their way to help you anytime :)

Amazing place with outstanding staff

It's really clean, the staff is amazing. They paw crawl is not really good because bars and club was not the best but we were like 50 so I had great time anyway. I can't give 10 stars because the kitchen is not a proper kitchen but the oven is useful. Beds were really confortable. I would stay there again if I will come to Madrid again

Just the kitchen

Loved the property, super clean. The stuff is really helpful and nice. The breakfast was great, at the roof top with an amazing atmosphere. The location is just wonderful, it's right in the center. The property has a really nice common area, where I enjoyed working in. The staff also really helped me with the luggage storage.

In the heart of the city, I've stayed in my fair share of hostels and this is by far the best, the cleanest, friendliest staff

Great location and very social! More chilled out vibe than CATS so you didn’t feel like a party hostel but had the option to. LOVED the balcony!

They tell you this but no kitchen. As someone who likes to cook, this was hard to do for 3 nights.

All good. Comfy bed, clean room, nice people at the reception. Kitchen is small but has plates and cutlery, microwave and baking stove that you can cook pizza or pre-made lasagna from Lidl (5 min). Great location. Feels safe for a standalone traveler. Shower and toilet in the room. Elevator. Laundry 4 eur and drying 4 eur. A washing and drying cycles took about 40 min each. Terrace view. Towel not included. You need to have yourown locker.

Stairs to the upper bed not very comfortable. No cooking stove. One day there was no hot water (barely barely warm only).

Located in city centre, Very comfortable bed and easy access. Rooftop lounge is good to meet other travellers. I love the check out time (12pm). Staff is very friendly, helpful and guided for tour in Madrid or nearby. Carrefour is in front of the hotel and many restaurants also within 1 minute walk away. If you’re foodie, then go to La Latina place, nearest this hotel to enjoy local food with cheap prices. I enjoyed my time there and Thanks!

Very nice place, well organized, clean, with a welcoming and super curated common area at the entrance, as well as a kitchen and tables in the basement (and a terrace and bar on the rooftop!). Room: The rooms are well distributed and I enjoyed a good sleep in the 6-bed female dorm (floor 0, facing inwards, no noises). It as an internal private bathroom. The bed (an upper one) was super comfy, with a small curtain (though not covered on top), lamps and shelves and hooks; I loved that the drawing to store your bag is very big, plus there is a huge shelf running along the wall in the room, which I found very useful as an additional place to keep one’s things handy. Facilities and mood The whole hostel is very clean and the staff always welcoming, should you need any extra support (a hairdryer, extra cleaning of the toilet, etc). I never had breakfast at the hostel but I think that the price is average compared to what you’ll find around in the city (never spent less than 5). Something to mention is the supermarket right in front of the hostel, open daily from morning to 23pm, great if one wants to then take advantage of the well equipped kitchen. Activities are organised daily, but I only joined the walking tour (with a non-mandatory extra fee, run by a dedicated company). The people in the hostel were a nice mix of ages, also including some remote workers, so I think everyone might find some other guests to join, while also avoiding the risk of a too noisy party hostel. The location is super and any place is walking distance, not only the must-see on a touristic point of view but also including Malasaña/Chueca for some drinks/clubs at night (20-25 mins on foot).

Cool activities, places to meet people. Amazing location. Our dorm (6 female) had 2 bathrooms and curtains on the bunks which was a big bonus.

Excellent location in Madrid. Great conditions of the dorms and toilets. Separate man/woman toilets, which was a plus as we were staying in a mixed dorm and the female toilets were always empty and quite clean. Nice rooftop (although usually a bit crowded and noisy) with a good breakfast option. The common spaces like the lobby and kitchen are also cozy.

The Hat Madrid was super cozy, clean and comfortable. Its central location made it easy to get around the city.

The stay was super organized and safe. I found the accommodation very comfortable for a hostel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! Breakfast was great, and the location is perfect — close to everything! I really want to go back to Madrid and stay there again. <3

I loved that they had female dorms, these rooms were clean, a lot of space and two showers in one room which felt very generous and useful! Easy and fast check in and out. Also a good location, close to most things. They also offered a nice tour of the city in the morning, could be worth it if you visit Madrid for the first time :)

The beds were ok, but pillows were too hard. They put a bit too high AC in the rooms so I felt I had a cold after

Great location. No street noise in the room despite the location. Nice staff. Solid bunks with privacy curtains.

No towels provided (and nothing to dry hands with) and the bathroom floor was wet after every shower.

This is probably the best hostel I've stayed in it didn't even feel like a hostel. It's so close to everything that I hardly needed to use public transport, everything was very clean and well maintained, the staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was great! Even though it's in a very central location there wasn't much street noise at all. Room was spacious and comfortable and the rooftop bar was stunning

It's so minor but the kitchen could be better equipped however I can't really fault anything at all.

Small compact rooms

I had a lovely stay here! The hostel is clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There are some activities available if you’d like to join, but it’s also a good place to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace.

I loved everything about it! The location, the staff, the people who stayed there, the activities and that is safe. I’m always scared of staying in hostels with other people, but this was the nicest and safest hostel I ever stayed at. Also Javi was AMAZING!!!!! He made sure I was always comfortable and super helpful. I got pick pocketed in the bus from the airport and he showed me where to go to the police and everything. He is the best! Also I loved the activities they do where I met incredible people. I did the walking tour, the sangria class and the bar night out. Everything was worth it I even forgot about my bad experience arriving to Madrid. Also you can lock your stuff in the room and it’s super safe. It’s close to everything in downtown so I visited everything walking.

Location and comfort of beds

It was my first time visiting Spain. I had the best experience for my first time staying in a hostel. Staff was super helpful and gave great recommendations as to where to eat in a budget.

The location is perfect. Everyday you’ll get to pass Plaza Mayour and Puerto del sol. And you got the shower and toilet inside the dormitory itself.

It is loud up to almost 12 midnight and the whole day.

Great location and clean facilities. Front desk staff were amazing. The roof top bar/restaurant is great. Female dorm ensuites were clean and good size.

The noise from the rooftop bar travels down into all the dorms, however this is generally expected from hostels and the noise level was not terrible.

Everything! If you are a hostel person. This how all hostels should be. Cool facilities and customer service, perfect to meet people, good beer at the bar.

Rooms on basement were a little dark
