Hotel The Peabody, Memphis

We had a wonderful stay at the Peabody, and the duck march was such a fun and unexpected surprise!

Bathroom was clean but very very small and tight. Everything at this hotel is superb. Don't miss out on having dinner at the in house restaurant. The cafe was amazing also. The duck parade was our highlight. What a lovely historical hotel! The shopping in the hotel was fabulous also, just a little on the expensive side.

Very comfortable bed, prime location, and a great atmosphere in the lobby. Plus the valet team were excellent.

On arrival we were informed that the central lobby area including the bar and the fountain were closed to hotel guests that day for a private event. Given that that’s heart and center of the hotel (literally and figuratively), I was unimpressed to have the closure sprung on us without warning, and equally unimpressed that when I objected the staff declined to do anything about it - not even so much as a complimentary drink.

We loved staying at this Iconic Motel. We loved the location as it was a quick walk to Beale Street. We also loved watching the parade of ducks. There is a lovely bar area which was a great place to finish off the evening. The accommodation has restaurants and a cafe within the building. The rooms are a good size and the beds were super comfortable. If your staying in Memphis I highly recommend staying at the Peabody.

Traditional American classy establishment. Worth a visit to Memphis just to stay there :) it was our third time from the UK and we love the hotel.

Just a bit of a worry about crime in the area but felt very safe inside the hotel

The Hotel had a homely and historical feel. I felt like I was in an expensive London hotel. Loved the Duck march and watched more than once. Location was also good.

The bathroom was tiny and bit dated but it's an old hotel so I wasn't bothered it was kept clean and we even had a duck soap!

The property was a great location and historic however lots of steps which makes it difficult for the handicapped.

The parking garage was so far away. Carrying our luggage and all that walking made it difficult for both of us with our handicaps.

Beautiful historical hotel in an excellent location for Beale Street and Sun Studios. The staff are exemplary. And the Peabody Ducks are an absolute treasure. The beds are so comfortable and the brunch phenomenal.

The Peabody is one of a kind - an experience as well as a top flight hotel. You must see the ducks parade! The building is ornate and beautiful. The room we had was excellent overall, clean and well appointed. The valet parking was extremely useful. And every staff person we spoke to was warm and helpful.

We struggled with the AC and the room temperature. In fairness it was 90 degrees both days during our stay. But the room was either too cold or too humid, and no matter how we set the thermostat we were alternately chilled and then sweaty at night. The windows don't open so we did the best we could - and the shower was wonderful, so it got more use than usual.

The staff was welcoming, rooms well lit, bathroom was small but clean and supplied with all the needed toiletries, the room decor was tastefully modern and period. I love that the history of the hotel was on the TV as a selection! And of course we loved the Duck Parade!

The room telephone did not work well when I called the front desk for information. I could barely hear the front desk person's reply and guessed at her answer. Also the refrigerator that I requested prior to my check-in was not in the room and when it came it took a while to get cold. One of the legs of the refrigerator was missing but I was able to level it with a towel. Once it got cold it was good.

It was very elegant but facilities were obviously a bit worn and old.

Our bathroom was tiny and the toilet was quite revolting. Bed was comfy but again just a standard double. I know they can’t change the size of the rooms so can’t be helped.

We loved the traditional style of the hotel. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. Good onsite amenities and excellent location.

This was hands down the coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.. choosing one thing to like about it is difficult but it must be seeing the march of the ducks.. it was amazing to see how many people stayed around. Young and old to watch the ceremony of the ducks. And it was worth staying

Best hotel that we have ever stayed at and deserved a 12!! Near to the bars in Downtown, ducks are a treat too. Felt like royalty. Would expect to pay in excess of 1000 dollars for similar standard hotel normally.

Lovely hotel. Ducks were funny 2 blocks to Beale Street The happy hour & live music was great

One morning there was no one at the door/counter at the grill restaurant so I just walked in & sat at a table for 2 The restaurant was half empty Then the woman who was supposed to be at the front came over & told me off quite rudely for "assigning myself " a table. I said no one was there & she said she wS literally gone for 45 seconds. I said well that must've been the 45 seconds when I walked in ! It put me off going back there for breakfast as she was unnecessarily rude & made me feel uncomfortable. Not pleasant. I didn't go back again

Everything apart from booking .com NOT paying for the stay ON time and the hotel charging my credit card again with card company holding the payment leaving me with NOTHING to spend, Booking . Com fault you had the payments since 3rd and 5th August, 6 and 4 days for you to forward payment to the Peabody!!! DISSAPOINTED!

Everything, It was like stepping back in time. The most comfortable feather down pillows and bed. The staff treated you as if you were the only one there.

Only thing I can say is that I wish the bathroom was bigger with more counter room
