Best staff and service ever! The property feels as if it was taken out from a beautiful Woody Allen movie.

It's a bit old (but part of its charm) and the paths are with dimmed light. So might not be for every one. We liked it though.

Hotel Locarno will now be one of our go-to locations in Rome. Relatively inexpensive for the level of quality, the room was excellent, cocktails were yummy and the staff were superbly friendly. Genuinely we felt welcome from the first minute to the last. Also love how you hand in keys at reception - it means you don't need to worry in your party who has them. Ultimately an amazing stay.

The breakfast selection could have been better, esp with regards to pastries, egg dishes, etc. And the porridge was, well, it wasn't quite up to Scottish levels. Breakfast was a good meal. just not great. A minor gripe.

Prices at the restaurant were so so high- I understand hotel prices are higher than average but €10 for a coke is too much.

Great from start to finish - very warm welcome, quick check in, room upgrade, good temperature in the room on a hot day which was welcome. Very characterful hotel, lovely bar and terrace restaurant. Amazing breakfast! Superb martini in the bar!

Some of the tables in the bar were dirty and there were crumbs on the chairs which wasn't very nice but a minor complaint in what is a very nice hotel overall.

The staff packed me a breakfast for a very early flight

Exceptional. It blew every expectation we had out of the water (and our expectations were already high). We could not recommend Hotel Locarno highly enough. The hotel itself was of the highest standard, the interior design and ambiance was perfection. The location was fantastic, central to almost all of Romes historical attractions which made it easy to navigate around the city.

Staff were excellent, extremely professional and helpful. They are what makes this hotel special. It is spotlessly clean and hugely efficient! Concierge’s are all very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction.

The roof terrace isn’t open Sunday and Monday (the two nights of our stay and was open do the reasons we’d been recommended the hotel. If it says it is shut on the website/ booking info, the. I missed it. The food is excellent by the way and the breakfast starts the day off well.

Our favorite hotel in Rome

i have stayed here before covid and i loved the hospitality, the location , the history of the building, the serenity.

The bathroom lights were too low for makeup. The drawers were a bit tricky.

Old world glamour and service. One-off gem. Forget the chain hotels. Forget the big names. This feels like a secret only those clever enough to be in-the-know know about and can stay at. It exudes luxury and class from every corner. Nothing “noveau riche” about this property!

I noticed when they book 3rd party services like tours and cars, they add a premium, so their guests are paying above market rates. Disappointing. I’d suggest guests book these things direct with the provider of the services.

The hotel is classy and charming without losing the sophistication. The location is perfect and walkable to all major Rome attractions as well as shopping and dining. The staff is phenomenal and the food out of this world!!

Loved the hotel. Beautiful and great location.

Some of the staff were very pompous and condescending. Very disappointing for such a lovely hotel. Also a very lush green and absolutely beautiful terrace that the guests are not allowed to use unless you pay more or have an event. Guests are regulated to a pleasant but stark with no charm terrace.

The atmosphere od the room and the common areas was great. The room was perfect. And the brekfast great. The best cappuccino we had in Rome was in our hotel.

Only the noise we had due to construction works in the building next to us, but this was not a fault of the hotel.

Phenomenal staff, personal treatment, super clean rooms and grounds. Location is perfect and breakfast is really great. Can't go wrong with this one, worth every penny (and more)

The water pressure in the shower could be higher, but nothing too disturbing.

It is a magic place. Fantastic location, central while very quiet, with a wonderful terrace. The staff is exceptional. Attentive, kind, with lots of smiles and ideas. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just had a fabulous long weekend at the Locarno - the staff were so helpful and cheerful- a lively fun delicious cocktail bar and the best breakfast service I have had in a long time - superb in every way - thank you

We absolutely loved staying here. This privately owned period hotel is full of class and great ambiance. Perfectly situated, excellent staff, gorgeous rooms, fabulous breakfast, we stayed for 7 nights and we enjoyed every second. Thank you to everyone at Locarno Hotel who made our stay so memorable.

The building is charming but in need of a bit of work. The parquetry floor in our room had loose boards that needed work. The hotel is very clean and tidy but a little tired looking
