Loved the location and modern vibe! Friendly staff.

Quite expensive.

The hotel was in a great location near the metro and the markets.

Breakfast was very expensive and the restaurant was always busy and did not cater very well for hotel guests. Rooms were nice but the overall cleanliness was not good. Marks from drinks on woodwork not cleaned, a lot of dust.

Over priced

The staff were very helpful. Quickly changed my room to one on the top floor. If you book, it is worth asking for one on the top floor as you get lovely rooftop views. The new room was good (light and airy) although the heating wasn't really working. It was very cold at night. Mentioned it to the front desk who altered something on his computer and it improved a bit, but it was still insufficient. Good location for the trendy area nearby. Great street market and fun bars and restaurants.

The breakfast is very ordinary. For example the fruit salad is mainly different coloured melon, with a few blueberries and 3 chopped up strawberries in the large serving bowl! Poached eggs were nearly cold. Not worth the money. The gym isn't actually in the hotel. It is approximately 50 - 75 m down the street in a gym trainers studio - not convenient nor welcoming. Avoid the corner bedrooms, ending in 39 (I think), very small. I moved rooms. Expensive at 400 euro a night.

Centrally located - close to seeing sights and very close to the metro. But a serene neighborhood with many eating options. Very modern but relaxed. Exceptional staff!

Lobby is a little small.

Great location near Albert Cuyp Market. Lots of restaurants nearby. Walkable to the central district and tourist areas as well as transit options. The room was very comfortable.

Very big bed, lots of space, very good room size and amenities. When we asked staff for more towels, coffee capsules or iron etc they were immediately brought up. Staff were excellent to help at all times. Would stay again for sure!

Coffee machine didn't seem to want to work every time

The location was easy to get to with the subway or tram. There was no Breakfast due to the restaurant being closed (caused by the weather).

I had a room on the road side witch was more noisy than i would expect. also the booking ad had a bath as possibility for my room but in fact the hotel does not offer this room type with a bath. witch was a bit of a downer since the cold weather i was looking forward to a bath.

The rooms are clean, nice beds and very quiet. Great location.

No problem with the hotel… the hotel had an issue with my insence stick in the room (I use it to meditate) and the front desk told me it was prohibited because of fire hazard but I never left the flame burning i always use water to douse the stick before leaving but just so you know… also (and this has NOTHING to do with the hotel but with BOOKING) please be advised that offers can change on a “booking whim”.. I purchased the hotel because it included a to and from taxi service to the airport (free shuttle service if reservation was higher than 400€ and no more than 3 passengers ) and after the purchase this shuttle service was denied because my reservation was above 800€ and we were 2 passengers…. We contacted booking and we are still waiting on a response….

Requested quiet double room and offerred noisy room above bar. Was offered different room wth single beds. They had 3 months notice but as we were a late check in we just got the dross that was left. Do better as you charge the earth for a room!

The room was a bit dirty and we got 1st floor so wasn't ideal in terms of opening the curtains.

Litter in the streets everywhere

Enjoyed how spacious the rooms were for the price. Great bathroom. The general vibe and public area was great and unique. The bar “izakaya” attached to the hotel looked to be a great place for drinks/food at any time of the day

The location was great as it is not at the very center of the city but in the slightly less crowded and more authentic parts of Amsterdam, still in vicinity to the city centre. The stuff was also quite helpful and nice.

As it is close to the city center of the city there was not parking available, but only the paid ones. We had a QR code for discount on one of those which didn’t work and at the end paid around 100 euros for around 30 hours stay. However this is a complication only if one wants to park nearby.

Electronics facilities need to be updated ASAP! It’s 2024 and there only 2 things you can offer to your guests are TV with few English/Dutch/German channels and radio. It’s really not that difficult to connect your tv to Wi-Fi and let your guests watch what they want.

Gorgeous Boutique hotel, Our rooms were very spacious. The coffee machines were fantastic as well as the bath. Very friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious.

A bit more lighting in the rooms

Lovely building, good location and helpful staff. Bed was comfy and room had basic amenities with nice toiletries. Very good gym facilities, although be aware that the gym is in a separate building down the road.

Standard room is very small (or 'compact'). I was alone, it would be tight for two. Room was missing a few important touches for a 4* hotel like somewhere to place your luggage.

Great boutique hotel and excellent customer service. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff surprised our friend at breakfast with a sparkler in a donut and some fizz, then sent balloons up and gifts later on, very special touch.

Location was great with quick access to Metro. The museums are within walking distance. The staff is really nice and helpful.

The rooms are small for the cost but that was not unusual for Europe. The cost of breakfast ($25 - $29 per person) is very high and we did not use it.

Great to experience de Pijp, close to Central, and with a cool vibe. Very comfy bed and room with lots of space. Reception staff was super nice.

Nice room, friendly staff. Excellent location - close to De Pijp metro station which connects to Centraal station. Flexibility with restaurant menu to take account of dietary requirements. Good breakfast selection (scrambled eggs excellent)!

If I'm going to be picky, the slightly cramped restaurant space. Nothing else to dislike really.

Staff were amazing, rooms were nicely decorated, albeit a little small. Breakfast was lovely, great selection. I got a complimentary breakfast due to having to change rooms, nice touch. TY

The lights in the first room were not working, and then the lamp in the next room did not work. A little annoying as lighting and ambience is really important to me. Nonetheless nothing to lose sleep over, and I loved my stay.

Bed could have been better.

Location was good. Staff were helpful in moving us to another room as the one we were in was too noisy with the restaurant/club underneath. The bed was comfortable in the deluxe room (the second room we were placed in).

The noise of the restaurant / club underneath. The remote didn’t work and the tv was at an awkward angle. You are overlooked by residents opposite so have to keep the blinds down at all times.

Location of the hotel is perfect if you are looking for short walk to museums and downtown etc. The staff is amazing, very helpful, supportive and super nice! I also liked breakfast - a lot of choice and high quality, same for the dinner - I would definitely recommend the restaurant in the hotel! Overall very nice and pleasant experience with the hotel.

You can fine some minor things in the room that might require a bit of renovation, but those are very minor things.

Breakfast was not to my liking. Don’t like the WC and shower configurations in the rooms. Otherwise excellent hotel.

Sir Albert is a contemporary hotel, nicely fitted into an older building. Location is very good for the big musea, the Royal Concert gebouw and for the Albert Cup market. Room very comfortable. Top marks for the breakfast buffet.

The corridors, the stairs and the lift are all very very dark, to the point that the stairs would be safer if they were properly illuminated. This might be fashionable, but does that need to get a higher priority than safety? We did find the place nice, but in terms of value for money it is not top of our list.

Cozy and great location

Drain smell in the morning as we were ground floor. Unfortunately something common in Amsterdam. Not necessarily the hotels fault.

Clean rooms, great location, decent service. Amazing products in the room: shampoo, conditioner and so on that felt luxurious.

Not great value for money, pretty uncomfortable small dark room at ground level with a blocked window so you could not see out. Felt a bit claustrophobic.

Stylish rooms that were relatively spacious for an European hotel. Friendly staff, super clean, quiet rooms.

If I were to nitpick bigger bath towels would be nice but other than that no complaints at all!

Staying on first floor in a room above the Japanese restaurant below on a Friday and Saturday night I hadn’t expected loud music until 2am each night- it was difficult to sleep.

This is a good hotel with friendly staff, very well situated in an area (de Pijp) with lots of restaurants and cafés, and not very far from the main museums (within walking distance). Metro is not far away, so everything is well within reach also via public transport.

It is however expensive (as Amsterdam generally is where accommodation is concerned). I had also expected more design elements for a hotel that describes itself as such. The bathroom was also not separate from the bedroom, which is not always pleasant for the person wishing to sleep longer.
