The Dean Hotel, Dublin

The room was perfect for what we needed. Compact but we are close friends anyway so it was manageable! Great shower, plenty of gels, shampoos, towels etc. Loved the decor with the mini Smeg fridge, the old fashioned radio and the tray of treats which were reasonably priced to be fair. We only met the staff on reception for check in and out, they were very friendly and helpful. We wish we had more time there to spend some time on the rooftop bar as it looked like a lovely spot to hang out with friends. Will definitely return in the future.

Room was extremely warm as thermostat was turned to 23* in the summertime…thankfully managed to change it by fiddling with the thermostat although it was hard to use, annoying green light above doorway made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise everything was great

What I would advise is to ask for a room on the left side of the corridor - the right side of the hotel is over the nightclub coppers, its really loud as the rooms are over the terrace.

Lovely room and the roof top restaurant was a treat.

Extremely busy late at night nose is high but they do give u ear plugs in room . Water complementary would have been nice rooms very warm had to leave air conditioning on .

Bed very comfortable lovely view from the room we got moved to and a lovely place but some things need to be worked on.

The tv in our room didn’t work and then the one in the room we were moved to also didn’t work great. The first room was dusty and the bathroom in the new room wasn’t clean and the coffee machine didn’t work.

The cosiness of the room and the staff were amazing.

The cleanliness of the room was not up to par. The bed sheets were slightly stained and the floor hadn’t been mopped in quite a while. The bathroom was also not the cleanest I’ve been in. Pool facilities were good.

Would’ve liked to have been told before arrival about the nightclub adjacent, which is open until 4/5am. We were told to phone if we had issues sleeping, but were unsure on what could have been done in the situation so did not. We understand there’s nothing you can do, apart from supply the earplugs which was nice and useful to some degree. Just felt it could be detailed on the hotel information. Also the “punk” rooms were extremely small for 3 people, felt like we were on top of each other at times.

As a whole, the hotel is pretty flawless, great facilities, lovely room&bathroom, comfy bed and good location. Staff were great too.

The only issue is the hotel is next door to a well known nightclub and it is extremely loud. Earplugs are provided but if your planning an early night at the weekend you won’t get much sleep. Maybe a freebie from minibar or treats could help.

Room was much smaller than size we booked- should have been 26sq m and was more like 16 sqm. A bathroom pod that looked like the tardis took up a third of the room and loomed over the bed barely leaving room to squeeze round it. No toiletries other than shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Paper cups for tea and coffee. Tardis bathroom badly lit with no magnifying mirror. A shelf of booze, sweets and condoms opposite the bed left nothing to the imagination and is clearly targeting a different demographic- boys out on a stag weekend…Nowhere to hang or put clothes- no safe for valuables. Nothing useful just toys for boys wanting to party.

There is no Parking ! Also the parking at St. Stephens Green that is subsidised by the hotel is too expensive to put on top the hotel stay.

Very funky hotel! Very walkable to everything. Super gym and sauna. Nice rooftop restaurant. Very enjoyable stay.

Suggestion to ask for a room away from the disco next door.
