The Pilgrm Hotel, London

We stayed in a small double room for one night whilst attending an event at Hyde park. The room looked like it did in the photos, they’ve made good use of the small space and it was super clean. Everyone was friendly and the water bottle on arrival was a nice touch :)

Great location for transport, especially proximity to Paddington Station, which also has convenient shopping. Nice (untypical) choice at breakfast

Expensive stay for a room with no frills. Expected some street noise but not the crashes of building work nearby just after 6am. Not a fan of self check-in.

Housekeeping is considered a courtesy, which for a longer stay can be a challenge. There are so many germs when traveling, and it’s summer so bedding gets sweaty. The rooms are carpeted partially or fully, and it didn’t feel clean due to these factors. It’s very cute but it’s put style over substance, so you get £11 glass of wine that you can go to any neighboring pub and enjoy for £6.50. It has large bathrooms but awkward sinks, it was hard to navigate the set up. Having spent much time in boutique and trendy hotels, such as Hotel Congress in Tucson, AZ I found that there was an intention that is terrific but it was missing the key detail of ease one is seeking in a trendy budget room.

We loved our stay here the staff was very nice especially the evening staff, the breakfast was lovely (the French toast) & homemade juice and was in a brilliant location near the tubes & so easy to get to everywhere

Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable for a long stay as the mattress was rock hard and I struggle in pain with my hips so it didn’t do well if you struggle with pain (bad backs/hips) Also on the menu for breakfast the “English breakfast” wasn’t what we expected and my partner didn’t really like it also the pancakes were nice but needed to be sweeter it was more of a cake than pancakes and it did result in us eating only french toast as that’s all we would of eaten of the menu but we are a bit fussy with food. Also the juice would of been nice to substitute for a coke which is the same price on the menu as the juice but we weren’t allowed but again that’s just what we would of preferred as the breakfast did get repetitive Also we did have a mishap during our stay as we had a long stay and got offered housekeeping on one of the days half way through our stay - they were meant to come at 11:00am so we made sure we was out at that time and when we came back at half 3 to get ready for our evening out the housekeeping wasn’t done All we asked was for fresh towels mainly and was expecting them to be there for when we got back so we did have to go and ask for them and to be fair they did resolve this issue, emptied our bin and fresh towels and the next day they came and refreshed our bedding It was just a bit unfortunate but we understood that they must of been busy but would of been nice to at least have the towels in the room ready for when we came back

Perfect location for one night in London when you have a flight out the next day. It is literally across the road from the Heathrow Express. Cute cafe and bar. The room is small as advertised.

Be prepared to hoist your bags up and down small flights of stairs and narrow corridors. My bags were fine but if you had large cases you could not manage without help, then you would struggle.

The staff were so friendly and the brunch was very good. Clean rooms and bathroom.

Rooms were quite compact and the lift was out of action for most of our stay so we needed to use the stairs.

Bed was too short it was wall to wall, and road noise (people not cars). Shame the bar closes early too.

Room beautifully decorated. The lounge was a really nice place to spend some time.

Lifts were out of action, and very tight hallways (with luggage) and many flights of stairs.

Location was wonderful, nice neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and very close to Paddington station. Food was good, enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was small but pretty, served our need .

Rooms are small but that’s expected in an older converted building. Had everything we needed.

I love the fact it’s so handy for Paddington station. Combined with good design, comfy beds, no more and no less than you need, great breakfast and a no nonsense approach.

Not the hotel’s fault as such, but this time I ended up in a room with a huge extractor fan from a neighbouring restaurant just outside my window. Made it very hard to sleep as it was only switched off at 1.30 am. I’ve stayed here before and not had that problem, so I guess it’s a bit of a toss up.

Location was definitely the biggest pro when it came to staying here. It is right beside Paddington and it was close to everything we wanted to go to. The hotel itself is nicely decorated and clean. The bed was comfortable and staff were friendly. Water bottles that you can refill are offered at reception. We stayed in the bunk bed room which was small but this is stated so we knew what we were receiving. It was suitable for the two of us.

Yes it’s a little on the small side but we were well aware of this before we booked. The room was satisfactory for two nights for us because we didn’t intend on spending a huge amount of time in our rooms. It was comfortable otherwise. Only thing my friend said that they would suggest is investing in air conditioning. That being said at least the Pilgrim have measures in place to help . We did however keep the fan on and window open at all times when in the room and it was still quite warm.
