Position and food good. Staff great.

No kettle. Only coffee machine. Noisy bathroom fan all time

It was a beautiful building, great decor, check in was excellent.

This isn’t necessarily criticism but I just felt there wasn’t enough attention to detail at the property which let it down the waiting staff at breakfast were very poor and slow.

The hotel itself is magnificently beautiful. The building is amazing and fun to walk around in and explore.

There were some moths in our room, and the rooms don't really match up to the opulence and Victorian charm of the hotel itself. They're just kitted out like a regular corporate hotel chain.

Room was fairly basic for the price but lovely all the same, fully equipped and clean, good size.

The greeting at reception was great and the lady that handled our check in very professional and helpful. It was my wife's 60th birthday and when we got to our room there was a wonderful cake on a marble slab with Happy birthday along with a bottle of sparkling wine in ice. Very nice touch. The room was excellent, outstanding finishes, comfortable bed and it was great to be able to stay in this great building. Breakfast was one of the best selections I have had and I tried new dishes which were excellent, again with very attentative staff. Thank you for making this a wonderful stay for us.

the common areas (lobby, restaurants and bars) were beautiful and with an amazing vibe!

The room could have been a little bit more updated and we have requested a high floor but were put on a 3rd floor with a view to an internal hall but will totally repeat my experience in this hotel!

The wow factor

Confusing breakfast as not a buffet option and staff seem to struggle if ordering off menu (beans on toast!). Standard hotel rooms with nothing special to justify the prices.

Your Food and Beverage manager was outstanding. I had a poor service experience with dinner and I just left and ate at an outside restaurant. He noticed I left and apologized, Invited me to join him for lunch the following day which I did. The food and hospitality was fabulous.

The power went out in my room so I was unable to charge my devices. I contacted reception and was told I would have to wait until the following morning when engineering was back. This was unacceptable so I went to reception and asked for someone to reset my power breaker. 30 minutes later someone came past and did just that and all was good.

The building was magnificent. The Gothic bar was very lovely, with great staff and food. Spacious bedroom and well-appointed bathroom. Lovely amazing large windows. Concierge Gordon was brilliant.

Nowhere to lounge as such. Our bedroom was spacious, but only had one armchair. Lovely bathroom, but tired around the edges. So did the bedroom, which had frayed carpets, scuffed walls and black marks on the bottom part of the bed. Christmas food at the Hansom was disappointingly poor. Breakfast was not impressive.

The lobby and restaurant were fabulous and we enjoyed a lovely New Year’s Eve meal. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Breakfast was a little underwhelming with cold scrambled eggs sent back. The rooms are particularly ordinary, tired and outdated and are not befitting a hotel of this calibre or the hefty price.

The location is great and the hotel is beautiful.

Being right next to Kings Cross station was very convenient.

Checking in is always a bit chaotic and takes longer than it should. Having to queue. Tried to order two different types of wine at the bar, both had sold out...

The breakfast was particularly poor Previous years it has been a wholesome buffet style offering with cooked food to order This year no buffet. The toast/bread was low cost type and the scrambled eggs were sloppy slush Very disappointed

The breakfast on our first day was cold, there was no condiments on the table, no small spoon given with the hot drinks, this is our second stay over the last few years and it seems its attention to detail is some what lacking. For the money I paid I expected better attention to detail

staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. The children loved the swimming pool.

The people were wonderful, from check-in, bag delivery, at the bar, at dinner, at check-out. The room, overlooking the bar, was dark and quiet and very comfortable. The building is just sensational. The rum punch ceremony was brilliant.

Loved the disability friendly room, yet it needs two shaving mirrors as someone my height just can't use a mirror set to be wheelchair friendly. Also the light in the mirror wasn't working. Getting really picky now - the light switches are really confusing and the absence of spare sockets, or USB sockets, near the bed was irritating.

I was travelling for business, and needed to work in my room for the evening. Disappointingly when I rang for room service - I tried 4 times between 6.30 and 7 but neither the room service phone nor the reception phone was answered. In the end I gave up and went out and bought fast food at the nearby railway station. This was a genuinely disappointing experience

The ticket office was exceptional for dinner,full of atmosphere ,sat among magnificent architecture. Excellent staff service and very attentive and pleasent.

No fridge available in the room

The big plus for this hotel is the location. Directly attached to St Pancras and therefore perfect for the Eurostar. The lobby is beautiful. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Our room was very outdated and apart from the bed (which was extremely comfortable) was just not very pleasant. The decor was dull and the whole room could best be described as "functional".

Location in my view is the only advantage of the hotel if we look from inside, outside of course it remains a stunning building. Staff was very friendly and willing to help you at anytimes.

1. There were a lot of people on the reception and no order, I was waiting by surfing on my phone and eventually site some people passed before me and on one really cared ;) 2. The room quality for the price - I found personally it was too pricy compared to other hotels of similar level (I got the room in front of the lift, with a tiny window, it was spacious but not cozy). 3. In the room itself - mattress was banded and not comfortable at all, it was cold and airco was not heating the room fast enough, the door to the bathroom kept closing making a lot of steam). 4. Breakfast - there was a lot of choice, but in my opinion it wasn’t tasty at all:( I ate much better English breakfast elsewhere. Anyways I stop here, it was not that bad overall, but quite disappointing as I set expectations quite high.

The hotel was in an excellent location from St Pancras station. The room was a nice size, clean and tidy. WE ate in the booking office, which has amazing architecture. The staff were very helpful and attentive. I would recomend staying in this amazing building.

Personally, I regret that the hotel no longer offers the buffet breakfast with its large choice. Now the included breakfast is "à la carte" (with a cold dish and a hot dish), so the choice is rather limited. What's more, you have to wait longer to be served. Also, the noise of the incessant ventilation (VMC) in the bathroom (setting did not work).

The shared facilities, bars and restaurant were excellent. The gym was also good.

The reception area is too crowded and is dominated by a sofa.

It’s just a beautiful building & the staff was very accommodating. We was celebrating my husbands 40th & was surprised with a happy birthday dessert & Prosecco in the room. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice & really good portions. A perfect location .

The location is ideal for those using Eurostar or with early morning/ late evening mainline trains. The rooms are perfectly adequate 'business' standard. The rooms are quiet and the air conditioning works without being too noisy.

The safe in the room didn't work when we arrived. The lighting in the room is very dark - its not conducive for sitting down and reading but fine if you only want to watch television. The view from the window was of a brick wall 2 foot away. The inclusive breakfast was a bit odd - a bowl of porridge or a full English breakfast both counted as an 'either/ or' hot options (one could only have one hot option). The lifts are rather slow.

the check in/out area too congested, too small of an area for what goes on in that area. seriously, fire hazard. if people need to use that area as an exit during a crisis, that current room layout is a disaster .

The hotel is really beautiful, very comfortable room and beds, very quiet.

The check in process is wild. Only 2 staff members to do it when I arrived, we were obliged to queue with other customers and the queue was not even respected between all the customers. This needs to be reviewed as not acceptable for a hotel of this level.

The building is beautiful, with many of the original features intact. It has a relaxed atmosphere and you can imagine its history as a major railway station. The staff are attententive and make sure you feel at home.

There was an issue with the TV reception. They did their best to fix it but weren't able to. I was given a discount for the inconvenience. Very happy with that.
