The location for the Eurostar is perfect

The WiFi charge of £15 for one night I felt was steep

Location is Amazing and spa is top tier

Pillows weren’t the most comfy but it was honestly top tier so that’s not picking

Beautiful building, lovely room and comfortable bed. Amazing spa experience.

The customer service was poor for a high end hotel . Check in was slow and disorganised. Nobody answers the phone from your room. We called about 15 times until someone finally picked up.

Beautiful hotel , brilliant location , got a rubbish room to start but was upgraded to an absolutely gorgeous junior suite. So make sure you know what the room would be like very expensive hotel would expect every room to be minimum very plush . Our original room £500 per night was small no opening window or wardrobe was like a travel lodge , disappointed with dining experience at the booking office . Breakfast to fussy . Overall value for money ok .

The dining experience , ordered wine and starters and mai course at the same time , wine wasn't available so chose another similar only to find out of stock too , main course arrived still no wine it arrived after we finished our main course , really not good enough at this price beware . Room as described above . Service from hotel staff excellent , surroundings stunning .

The building is beautiful. The public areas are great. We had two rooms, one was a suite. Noise from the underground was pretty loud and unfortunately the team at the hotel couldn't do anything to solve the issue - which may arise often. The second room was in a different wing and was underwhelming considering the standard of property. Booking Office and lobby area are lovely spaces, however the whole place is just lacking the service that other 5* properties provide.

Beautiful architecture and divine spa and great location! Large comfortable room with a little Christmas present waiting and great views from the three beautiful arched windows. The hotel is a visual delight!

The sink in the bathroom drained very slowly and the plug in the bath didn't close properly. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Food over the Christmas holiday was excellent

Was initially put in the farthest room away from the lift despite asking for a room near the lift as I have a broken back

Oustanding hotel, staff is lovely and very attentive. Great location, close to St Pancras with all the subway lines! Breakfast is amazing and bedroom comfy :)

For the price, I'd say the rooms could use a bit of paint, especially the bathroom. Also, the wait for our breakfast table was a bit too long, someone should be at the entrance at all times.

The location, the service, the architecture

We were upgraded to a club room which initially was exciting & the room was beautiful with an amazing view over the station. But the curtains didn’t close properly so there was light from the station coming in all night, the shower (over the bath)was hard to get into & the water went cold after 2 mins so I had to get out & there was no socket for my phone charger next to the bed.

Check in staff were excellent, house keeping also great.

Room exceptional dark with no enough lights. I really didn't like that I was only allowed to stay in the reception area for maximum 1 hour on day of departure before they had to give my table to some body else. Felt very far from a five star experience.

Poor timing for kids pool hours which restricted their access. Service in bar and lounge area terrible. The only warm and friendly staff members was a cleaning lady and a doorman. All other staff members was standoffish, impersonal and inattentive.

Amazing property and full of character.

The room Itself did not have enough lighting. The small mirror by the sink did not work with the light. No instructions for the showers either. There are three knobs and we found it difficult to work out which was fit which shower and also for the hot and cold temperature.

The hotel is iconic - it was amazing to stay in such a beautiful and historic building.

It was overly expensive. There was only one restaurant open when we stayed and the choice was quite limited

The staff in the bar area I found rude and unhelpful, the service was poor with lengthy waiting times ! ordered a duck salad for a light bite to eat it was literally duck thrown on some lettuce for £18 !! disappointing. The grandeur of the entrance hall is welcoming but felt the rooms where disappointing and average at best.

The route from the main lobby to your room felt like a trip to the lost luggage department at a station. The hallways were not clean and a change of carpeting is long overdue

The building and suite were utterly superb. The architecture was unbelievable.

The reception area was too small, too busy and clumsy with no relaxing lounge area. We were unable to just sit down and chill without staff repeatedly trying to get us to buy drinks or food - it was just too pushy.

The history, great ambience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Convenient for travelling.

The staff are not as efficient as I think as I’m being overcharged for £100 despite the fact that I paid before my stay. I was told the £100 deposit will be refunded back and I’m staying pursuing for it to be refunded.

We really loved the food. We ate in two restaurants and both food was lovely.

I requested a bath but didnt get one so requested a change of room and advised this would happen. 3hrs later this eventually happened. We had an event to attend so was far from ideal. Upon check out i didnt even get asked how my stay was. The staff werent very attentive in restaurant and we waited ages for our food (although the food itself was worth the wait)

Room was lovely. Check-in experience was fantastic. The staff were attentive and the food was of a high standard. After a 5 hour journey to get to the hotel, to receive a glass of presecco on arrival was great!

The spa was not up to 5* standards and needs work. There were no robes available and the towels were tired. What would have helped, is if the check-in staff could 'tell you' to take your room robes. Very frustrating.

Stayed here several times, I enjoy the Cambridge-themed decor and the lounge bar with the open fire in winter and the riverside garden in summer

Rooms aren’t huge and a view of a flat roof immediately outside (but also the garden and the beautiful River Cam)

It my favourite place in London. Great location, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Best of all is the historical architecture, visible throughout the hotel.

The hotel is going through a reverb, and so our room interior was a little tired. We were offered a room that had been refurbished but it didn’t have a bath. Next time I’ll choose differently!

The hotel itself is a really beautiful building and they upgraded our room which was a really lovely touch. The pool facilities are beautiful. I would def stay here again.

The breakfast was chaos. They had guests queuing down the hallway and food and dirty plates flying past. It seemed that they couldn't clear the tables fast enough so the poor lady doing the seating was having to clear and relay tables before she could seat people. For a hotel of this calibre you'd expect them to get this sorted out, even if they had just one person clearing tables. It was so bad we took matters in to our own hands and sat at a dirty table. Very poor show. However once seated Alex the supervisor and his team made a great effort of looking after us to make up for the initial chaos and the quality of the food was excellent. For newly refurbished rooms on the 6th floor the heating control looked very dated and was totally unusable, which meant we were quite cold.

Very conveniently located for Kings Cross and the British Library.

It’s large and be prepared to walk a long way.

Walking past the kitchens to the room access was a bit smelly but not the end of the world…

The hotel was luxurious and beautiful. The food was delicious and different. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only thing we could fault really, were the pillows. It would be good and I think important to have soft, middle and firmer pillows for people like us who struggle with their necks.

I had understood from your website I was booking a room in the old classic part of the hotel, not in the standard new wing. This was a major disappointment resulting from the misleading images on YOUR website. I have no issue with the hotel on this but I paid more than I would have done if I had known I was being placed in the modern wing.

I much preferred the buffet breakfast than the current format both in quality and time-for-service.

The location and atmosphere were second to none in a stunning building.

The rooms were small for a family. We’d booked for 4 of us but we had only enough towels, robes etc for 3.

Everything was exceptional as was a surprise for my daughters for her 21st. Only disappointment was that the bed had not been split to two singles . Other than that she had the best of times Thankyou memories made
