No selection of pillow thickness, but that is being very picky. Excellent otherwise.

We absolutely loved our stay. We loved the executive room upgrade and everything that went with it. From the moment we arrived. Greeted and taken through VIP to level 30 to check in. What an incredible experience. Not having to wait with the crowd of people who were checking in at reception. We were immediately welcomed and were able to enjoy the facilities as soon as we arrived. The personal touch was lovely, a cake sent to the room for our birthday celebrations.. The horizon club was beautiful. That view!! Staff exceeded our stay with warm welcome and hospitality. We loved and appreciated the dinner canapes and breakfast, all with the perfect view to take in. We loved the pool and spa, and my husband enjoyed the use of the sauna. Wonderful facilities. Beautiful hotel & staff.

Superb suite on 25th floor with fantastic views of the harbour

We liked the friendly staff and the Hotel for position and we loved the Deluxe room 😀 👌. The food was great too, and the breakfast was fantastic.

Two things. When we booked we asked for a room overlooking Darling Harbour. What we got was a room overlooking the road and all we saw on Sundy afternoon were the pro-Pallistinian protesters. We called the reception and asked for a different room overlooking the Opera House and were told there was nothing available. And second when we asked for a room change we told the receptionist we were there to celebrate my birthday and she told us that within half an hour someone would bring us a complimentary bottle of Sparkling Champagne. We waited an hour and the person with the Champagne didn't show. I kept checking outside to see if it had been left outside our room, but it hadn't. Disappointed 😞

I left a note saying it was my partners birthday and it was first hotel ever not to leave a special note and food gift etc, the shower was not clean properly and had to wipe out and rinse the floor

Very central location on The Rocks, excellent facilities including a large gym & swimming pool, and a rooftop bar and restaurant with glorious views over Sydney harbour.

Breathtaking views and sunrise over the opera house.

Payment and hold was taken twice, it was resolved after a few days but communication was that the room was paid and the hold had already been taken, so I was shocked to see another charge.

The moment you step into the hotel lobby you're greeted with a wonderful relaxing fragrance made specifically for the hotel. From there every member of staff is attentive and friendly. The room is clean, tidy and incredibly comfortable, highly recommended.

The shower was amazing. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location was excellent. 2 min walk from circular quay. Perfect 1 day stay in Sydney.

The room advertised had the Sydney opera house view which although it did, the view wasn't particularly great. I would have liked an option to upgrade if it meant a higher room and better view.

We had club lounge access during our stay. Unfortunately I was working in town on the Friday evening and my wife was denied access to the lounge. Looked into the denial and was told there may have been a misunderstanding?? Without making a seen she waited in the room until I arrived back later that night. Maybe next time we can experience the full Club lounge access during our stay.

Amazing stay. Very pleasant staff and only too happy to assist in any way possible. Views were amazing.

room had a beautiful view and got plenty of afternoon sunlight overlooking observatory hill. curtains kept out sun during sleep. Bed was big and comfy, pillows a little uncomfortable at times. Plenty of complementary soaps and toothpaste.

I booked the buffet breakfast thinking it was going to be on the top floor with amazing harbour views. It ended up being on the first floor without amazing views. Would have liked to known in advance.

Slightly dated in decor

Our room was lovely. Very spacious. Great views of Darling Harbour. King size bed. Lovely linen. Excellent wifi. We had a Horizon club room. We had access to Horizon Club all day for tea and Coffee and soft drinks and afternoon tea and in the evening canapes and drinks. All with beautiful views of the harbour. We had breakfast in the Horizon Club as well and that was excellent.

The hotel is at an excellent location and was within walking distance of the Opera house, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sealife and the Rocks market. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. Room service was excellent and the hotel arranged for an early entrance and late check out which suited our travel arrangements well.

Breakfast had a longer wait than expected and the service by the breakfast entrance staff was poorer than the experience with the rest of the staff and the waiters within the breakfast area.

An amazing view from the room of the Opera House and in a perfect location. Super convenient to everything with many options around. The staff were super helpful and service great. Highly recommend!

I am originally from Newcastle so I have visited Sydney many, many times both for personal trips, and for business. I would say that this Hotel is the best Hotel in Sydney I have ever stayed in. From the staff at reception, to the concierge/s, to the room quality, to the location, to the amazing view.. the room more than exceeded my expectations and I will return every time to Shangri-La to be honest.

I could not pick anything negative at all aside from parking fees in Sydney, which is not the Hotel's fault ut I do wonder if the Hotel could reduce the parking fee of $85/night as it is substantial.

Spacious room with harbour view, looking over harbour bridge and Opera House. Comfortable bed. Location perfect, close to The Rocks and harbour. Polite and friendly staff. Spa was pretty relaxing. Nice selection of breakfast buffet. We had a very good time.

The staff were super friendly which set the atmosphere upon checking in, and they gave us a beautiful bottle of sparkling wine with cake and fruit for my friend's birthday - that was such a sweet start. The views were amazing. The space of the room was great value for money. The sauna and spa were great after hours, and topped it off with a magnesium pool was lovely.

Checking out was difficult and the self-serve check out computer wasn't working properly. It semi checked us out but our Uber was waiting to pick us up and still waiting for the bond refund.

For a 5 star property the complimentary tea and coffee supplies were meagre and not biscuits provided also.

Altitude restaurant was a little overrated. Nice atmosphere, but food was average and not value for money. Would prefer more options. Bar on level 36 was very small. Hotel room furnishings need updating.

Swimming pool was too busy all the time with many kids, they should look at making bookings between hours and only allow a number of children at a time

Lift access waited 30 mins daily to go to ground floor

Flawless service. Spacious rooms. Super comfy beds. Best overnight reset I have ever had. Room service was prompt and delicious. Staff were superb.

Couch could have done with a good vacuum and some surfaces were a little dusty. Otherwise everything was great.
