Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney

Great room with an amazing view in a fantastic location.

We couldn’t use the automated checkout on the tv in our room or the checkout kiosk and instead had to wait in a long line to check out, which is unacceptable in this day and age. Also, the person who checked us in didn’t tell us anything about the hotel facilities like the pool, spa, gym, restaurants, or view-level bar, which was quite surprising.

The location is in the best part of Sydney. Parking staff very friendly and helpful they kept car on checkout day until three which was great to experience more of Sydney. I was pleased that we could checkin as soon as room was ready 1pm! This feels like you are getting more value for money when only staying one night.

Price of food and coffee ,would be good if another option for food! Pool area disappointing needs refurbishment.

Wow!! The views, the staff, the amenities. Shoutout to Peter, Johnny, Augus, Tiffany. They were Amazing. So friendly during our stay… the views are amazing and we had a great time. The staff went above and beyond and gave us a welcome gift for my friend who is visiting Australia for the first time. I’ll be returning. We felt so special! The valet is a great touch too and even though check out is 11am we could leave our car there later.

It was located up a hill from the rocks, not as close to the “hustle and bustle” we left behind something in the room and I had to contact the hotel days later. They did not have a system to alert us we had left something behind

The view from the room was absolutely stunning, especially at night overlooking the harbour. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the room felt clean, comfortable, and luxurious. Room service was quick and the food was great quality.

The parking fee was quite expensive and the elevators sometimes took a while during busy times. Other than that, everything else was lovely.

Shattered the first day we got there the pool was closed. We came to relax and swim.

Stunning views from the room. Very spacious room, very clean and nice bathroom as well, The bed was very comfortable. They gave us a bottle of champagne on arrival as it was my partner's birthday. The roof top bar is stunning as well.

Great rooms, swimming pool area could do with a touch up

Everything. From the moment you enter the property the smell of the lobby, the welcoming staff, the beautiful views. But mostly that the staff left a happy birthday card and cake for my daughter who was celebrating.

Nothing. The beds were a tad small for doubles I thought - sleeping 2, but that’s standard.

Marble floors, exceptional views from windows - Harbour Bridge Suite is absolutely astounding. Loved the bathtub and views. It was even better than I could imagine. Everything pristinely clean and organised. Horizon club breakfast buffet and evening canapes were exactly what I needed even when I didn't know it! Best stay I've had, in luxury, was here. Thank you Shangri-La Sydney Staff, you were all so hospitable to me and my newly wed husband.

Service throughout hotel amazing, facilities wherever you went superb, hotel management thought of everything and everyone. We loved our. Stay at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney from the time we arrived and car door was opened for us to taking our luggage just everything was fab

The service from staff in the lobby was great, serviced with friendly smiles and very helpful, cocktails delicious especially fresh tasting cucumber fizz, loved it. atmosphere and seating spacious and comfortable, just felt kids steak meal with salad for lunch could have had a yummy fresh looking salad an steak could have been more tender. Loved eating in the Lobby, it's very relaxing and friendly vibe.

Great location and the size of room and bathroom was very good. If you are after a central location for all things Circular Quay and the Rocks this is a great option.

Rooms just starting to feel a little dated. No wine options in mini bar, in fact the mini bar options were a big surprise with how limited they were.

Lovely spacious room overlooking the opera house and harbour bridge. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful.

Great location, staff is super friendly everywhere. Very clean, free water, many clean towels etc. Pool is very warm. Good breakfast.

TV couldn’t turn for better view. Pool for kids till 7p.m. only. Was till 9p.m. and even that wasn't enough because this is holiday. No variety of mini bar snacks to purchase like chocolate, chips, saulty nuts, biscuits etc. We had 7th floor and windows were a bit foggy from pollution i beleive. And view to Harbor Bridge and Opera House were not as clear as we used to have. We like suite and stay always in that room but became very pricy after Covid.

Room 2019. Was very surprised at the size of the room - loads of space. My bed was too soft, my friends bed was too hard...but I think now I could possibly request a room with a hard bed, which I didn't know before. The hotel naturally feels like an older hotel but really great facilities, mostly excellent staff but all in all a lovely stay.

Oh! 1 thing, we stayed for a 3 day conference. The lobby cafe was overwhelmed with the amount of people to serve. You really should have 1 extra staff member helping to serve or make coffee. We had 45 mins to eat and drink but ended up taking our drinks and food back into our conference. It's not a great feeling. On one of the days lunch broke at 11am and your restaurants could not accommodate us.

This year horizon buffet quality obviously is lower than last year especially the afternoon tea. Very few choice and no macarons.

Everything, we had a ball. The room, food, service 10/10. Not to mention the breathtaking view from our room. Thanks for having us, Shangri-La. We will be back again.
