True five star experience, beautiful with amazing facilities

Sauna was only open till 9 pm. It’s nice and luxury, but it can look a bit outdated in interior design sometimes.

My stay at Shangri-La Sydney was outstanding in every respect. The staff were the friendliest I’ve encountered in years, the food and drinks were awesome, and the location was terrific. The views from the bar/restaurant were simply amazing and made the experience unforgettable.

We have a huge room by Sydney standards - perfect views (opera house and the bridge ). Very comfortable beds and marvellous room service/catering

The hotel was very nicely appointed and superb location.

The check-in process was awful. I was told that a room wasn't ready for me despite my fellow travellers checking in after me all got rooms or even an upgrade. After returning an hour later as instructed a room was still not available and was told to return in another hour. I was eventually upgraded to a suite and given a complementary drink but I would rather have had the room I paid for on time. Perhaps the most annoying issue was the staff at the counter computer were speaking to each other in another language in what seemed to be so that I could not understand what was being discussed.

No turn down for our room for some reason ! Everyone else who was staying had it - not sure why !

Well managed hotel with spectaular views over Sydney Harbour. Excellent facilites, although we didn't avail ourselves of these. Blu Bar on 36 provided spectacular views and interesting cocktails.

Nothing to fault when it comes to the hotel itself. Be aware that its location is a steep walk from Circular Quay and George Street.

Great rooms w great views lovely bed, big bath great shower every thing was wonderful.

They add an extra $10 on your room service, it’s not mentioned anywhere on the menu until you place an order. And the calamari would have to be the worst I have ever had tasted like dried up cardboard.

Staff was excellent. Location worked well for our one night stay. Kids lived the pool.

No USB ports in our room that I could find.

The staff were exceptional! Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. They went over and above to celebrate my nieces 10th birthday for her! Comfy beds and great shower! Bar and restaurant on the top floor were great. The breakfast is generous but seating area a little cramped.

It is a very expensive stay for rooms that are starting to date. The timeless marble and timber keep the property in a classic style, but it will need a reverb in the not too distant future.

A great hotel with facilities and views to die for

My wife uses a mobility scooter so access wasn’t the easiest from circular quay/rocks having to go through the lifts of adjoining hotels

I loved the room, great bathroom, fluffy robes and towels. The view was fabulous. We had room service which was quick.

I was dissappointed that there was no happy hour during the three nights we stayed there, from Friday to Monday.

I would just like to say that Mo was an absolute breathe of fresh air.. We had interactions with her on many occasions and nothing was a hassle. And Mo was able to meet our every request. Mo is an asset to your company.

Ground floor bar staff is not attentive, they talk more with each other and even waving your hand is not enough to get their attention

This is a luxury hotel, with beautiful harbor views and nearly suite sized rooms / bath. Nothing was slighted or missing and the location for sightseeing was perfect. Watch for sale, as prices seem to fluctuate. We were notified of a price drop of nearly $100 from original booking, and were allowed to rebook at lower rate.

The Shangri-la hotels in general are known for excellence, and this hotel has to be 1 of their best. It is as near perfect as possible.

The only negative thing I would like to say is the breakfast price was quite expensive-$52 per person. We only ate once because of that price

Lovely people and lovely renovations. Good light and nice materials. Good facilities too. Got a massage, which was lovely. And though I didnt swim, the pool looks good too.

Amazing room, great staff. Lovely view too. We also dined at the Altitude which was spectacular.

The bathroom was stunning, extremely clean and the provided toiletries were l'occitane, which i loved. The room was also clean. Bed extremely comfortable and nice views.

Interface of the tv could be more intuitive and user friendly, i found that the process of streaming movies/videos from my laptop/phone was confusing and convoluted.

Breakfast was super good we enjoyed it. And we went to high tea too but expensive but worth it and a great time food was yummy
