The reception staff were absolutely fantastic , check in very smooth and staff so helpful with luggage and looking after us for organized drinks in the level 1 bar.

Everything was great i just wished there was a better curtain/blind situation in the bathroom as the shower is directly in front of the window .

Lighting was too dull and hard to control. Only one towel hook - really needs towel rails. AC unit was hard to control and the controller hard to read.

The hotel had a wonderful ambience. Staff were excellent. Bedroom & bathroom spacious. Adjoining top restaurants. Making it a great place for a special occasion. Our reason for booking the hotel was its proximity to the International Ship Terminal as we were leaving on a cruise. Worked really well.

The sliding glass door between bedroom & bathroom was VERY stiff to open & close . But just a minor inconvenience.

Hotel and staff were wonderful, only negative need extra lighting in the bathroom.

Fabulous room up on top floor with windows looking out into two different laneways. Bars, restaurants downstairs were excellent in the evening.. Breakfast delivered to the room. Memorable stay!

Hotel staff was very welcoming and the hotel is beautiful. It's only a short stroll from Circular Quay and the Rocks.

The room was directly above a night club that played loud music till late. Thankfully the hotel provided earplugs.

Fantastic hotel. A hidden gem almost. It’s great that the hotel is based on Merivale in which the food and drink is so much better than any other hotel offering.

Expect to pay for everything. You pay for not only the room dining menu but also a tray fee to your room. Nothing is free nor cheap but it is very nice. I would go back again. You would find it certainly difficult to find it hidden behind bridge street if you haven’t been there before. A big sign that says ENTRANCE to the front door would have helped. Glad to know that at least 4 guests said the exact same thing to me.

Fabulous location, 5 minute walk to circular Quay. We had a studio room which was lovely. Huge bathroom with amazing bath. Establishment breakfast was very nice and great value. Parking nearby arranged via the hotel.

The staff were all exceptional. I have never encountered such genuinely helpful and kind staff at every interaction. Charlotte was an absolute delight! Gorgeous moody decor. Comfortable large room. Parking at Met centre was convenient and location is great for an event in the city.

It was a little noisy until the nightclub closed next door. However, we were so tired, so it didn't bother us very much. My only suggestions would be another towel hanger as there was only one for two towels.

Most bars weren’t accessible due to events and staff were a little cold about that fact. Rooms are very noisey with outside bargoers

We had the best stay. A massive thank you for upgrading us to the penthouse. We’d had a day full of flight delays and nearly had to cancel our dinner booking, just sneaking through at 9.45pm. It was just the best to arrive at 10.30 and receive this surprise.

Max 5 floors. No waiting time on elevator. Clean room and bathtub. Unorthodox room design and layout. Great room presentation and furnitures. And most of all, hidden and great location (near Circular Quay).

Can’t access Youtube or Netflix. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Location is superb. Easy access to Circular Quay and The Rocks. Hotel is amazing. Unfortunately it was a public holiday that night so bars and restaurants in the building were largely closed which was disappointing for a international city like Sydney

EVERYTHING! Proximity, fresh orchards, room size, foyer architecture, and The STAFF, the staff and their eagerness to please was second to none. Well done Merivale! 🙏

If I had to pick one thing, it would be the price of a case of beer, but really your staff made up for that. Hopefully the profit from the beer could be distributed to the wonderful staff!

Love this hotel but not as much as we used to. Rooms still nice and staff are extra nice & very helpful. It has a very unique look & feel. So close to many great restaurants and bars. Some of the best in Sydney. Mr Wongs, and Palmer & Co to name a couple.

The new Bar SOE (Song Of Eve) in Bridge Lane that has opened is way too noisy for guests sleeping in rooms above, especially on the lower floors. Sounds more like a night club. People lined up to get in & all we hear is loud music & people shouting & swearing above the noise while they queue. The old Bridge Lane Bar was so much classier! Such a shame SOE is not more insulated like all the other bars and restaurants located in the same precinct. Its also made the laneway very dirty and uninviting - filthy in the mornings, right where we have to step out of the Hotel foyer at the start of our next day. It would be nice if the staff let you know of this during the booking process. It saddens me to say, as we have loved coming to this hotel for many years, but I don't think we will be back solely because of SOE. It's really taken the shine off our stay.
