The room floors weren't very clean, the heater was not easy to understand.

the room we stayed in was clean and the environment and staff was really great, the location was also very convenient (just across from the centraal station)

the walls were pretty thin but that was the only issue

Great hostel with social and co-working space, and a bar. Every thing was clean and organized. I stayed mostly for ADE and loved that the hostel was part of it.

I found the mattress to be very hard, thin and uncomfortable to sleep on.

Location next to ferry, big hostel with lots of common spaces, nightly activities.

There's no shared kitchen space, not even a station to boil water to make a cup of tea or some noodle soup. Only a bar and paid breakfast option. That's really surprising for the size of this hostel and very unusual in our worldwide hostel experiences. Quite a big disappointment for us. Staff was nice and provided hot cup of water for my tea bag.

The hotel is very close to the ferry and the Amsterdam lookout. The rooms were clean. There were good events in the time that I visited. Overall a decent place to stay while visiting Amsterdam.

Hostel has a great location, it is just a 2 min ride with a ferry boat (ferry is free) from the main station in Amsterdam. Hostel is very clean, check in and check out is really easy and you do it yourself on a computer in the lobby. Staff is super and I don’t have any complaints about my stay.

Only that there wasn’t toilet paper in the bathroom

Came here for ADE and had a blast. Very solid and clean facilities, you do need to take the ferry there but the location was still very central. Got given fresh sheets halfway through my stay because I was there for a week. Hostel had heaps of events on as well for ADE.

The beds don’t have curtains which is worth keeping in mind for those who like privacy.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle. Very comfortable and clean.

No kitchen

Affordable option near Amsterdam Central Station (just a short ferry ride across) with easy access to Amsterdam and close to Schiphol as well. Ferry runs throughout the day frequently. They offer luggage lockers if you arrive early or depart late and would want to store your luggage, while you explore the city. There's a small grocery store (Albert Heijn) just around the corner within 5 minutes. Definitely its money's worth and views across the water to central station are worth it.

It is a hostel type setting, so expect busy evenings and lots of people, yet the rooms are nice and quiet. There is no real option (like in some other hostel) to make your own food or to store food, however this makes sense given the size and capacity of this hostel. Yet you can still pick up your own food and eat it there.

The atmosphere

The toilets were very dirty every time i wnted to use it despite there were cleaners at all times, the price is really expensive.counting i had to share a bedroom with 12 people, thas not nice,for the rest of things all fine

The internet conection was very slow in the rooms and the kitchen close early for dinner.

Good value for money,good location near the free ferry that takes you to Central station. We were able to walk everywhere from there, plenty of shops, restaurants and attractions nearby. Room was decent, bed was comfy, shower had hot water.

At check in the person at the reception desk didn't seem really interested in doing the job and even gave me a sarcastic answer to my question ( that's not acceptable in any situation towards a guest). We tried to stay away from reception and found advice somewhere else.

The location was incredible, also the vibe there was really nice with the bar and the stuff available to do.

The room was a little bit warm, they leave a fan for you but it's not really enough

The lobby was the best lobby out of the other hostels. Plenty places to talk without disturbing roomates. Plenty of amenities including washer and dryer room. Location was perfect next to a park, must take ferry which was very cool and free.

The all girls room did not have a curtain so a guy in an apartment across from our window could see us from his balcony. We couldn't change in the room only restroom behind closed doors. Im sure the bunk beds railings don't get sanitized. Didn't want to touch them.

The hostel is well located just an easy 5 min ferry from the central station. It is massive so I did find it a little tough to make friends, however the facilities were good and well thought out for travellers however what really made my stay was Lorna the evening receptionist! Made me feel so welcome and was super accommodating with my requests (needing toilet paper, hair-dryer) and even moved me to a more comfortable room which was super kind! Would actually come back to the hostel just for her.

The first room I stayed in was a mixed 8 dorm and it was dusty and the bathrooms were not cleaned often.

The hostel is huge and has no atmosphere at all. No kitchen facilities, no outside space (smokers have to go outside), the common area is not enough for the size. Everything is charged extra, from towels to luggage storage. For the amount of beds (more than 800), one receptionist is not enough. Check-in at 3pm, check-out at 10am, no flexibility or it is extra charged. Prior to arrival date, I was almost forced to make online check-in, another way of saving on staff. I stayed in a 4 beds female dorm, which was ok and clean, but had no bed curtains and the mattress was of poor quality. Linen was provided, but guests have to make their own beds. The water from the shower runs outside, the bathroom floor floods and becomes very slippery. Location - there is nothing to do around, but the Central Station is easily reached by regular and free ferries. The price seemed ok, considering that Amsterdam is an expensive destination.

Excellent location near free ferry to Central Station and Eurostar terminal. Easy walk to Dam Square. Clean bright hostel. Luggage lockers big enough for a good sized suitcase.

Rooms were warm-good. Buy unable to open windows to cool room down. Resetting the thermostat helped.

This is my first experience staying in a dormitory. I chose a 4 bed female room with private shower and toilet (shared between room occupants). My fellow occupants were lovely. I like that there was also plenty of bathroom facilities available for anyone to use. The layout of the communal areas (seating, cafe, bar, canteen) flows well. The food from the canteen was decent I had the poke bowl and breakfast. The building it self is large and functional. The location is great and very easy to get to from central.

Cleaning is not offered in dormitories. From the 2nd day I chose to use the shower and toilets in the hallway as they were cleaned regularly throughout the day. The room was very small, 2 bunk beds and 4 lockers and definitely not enough room for 4 people to move around easily. I found myself going to the communal area when everyone was up and trying to get ready to go out due to the tiny space. There is no where to hang clothes although the lockers are large enough that a hanging pole could easily fit. The actual lock to lockers is fiddly and you can’t help but make a lot of noise when just trying opening and closing it. Not ideal when sharing a room and trying to not disturb others sleeping. Window was sealed, no fresh air. Communal areas not very clean, seats are stained and need a good clean, floor was dirty. On my last might, the very loud music from bar in basement could be heard on the 1st floor. Unfortunately this went on until past midnight. I had an early flight so hardly got any sleep.

Good stay, was there for only few nights. Easy to get to places.

Relatively inexpensive by Amsterdam standards. Handy location. Very clean. Bar meals were good.

Tiny, tiny room. We knew the twin room with private bathroom was going to be small but this was next level. Getting dressed and opening doors required a high level of coordination and choreography from both of us.

Location near train station. Good wifi connection.

Hotel had a great location, a 2 minute walk to the ferry to get to Central. Good value for its price!

The beds were awful, was very hard to sleep on, especially for a longer stay. Would’ve been nice to have fresh towels after a few days too.

The rooms are quite small and it can be tight when everyone is there. The shower and bathrooms also don’t seem to be cleaned everyday.

Room was clean. Lockers inside the room were enough for our luggage. The location was very convenient with free ferry service from the Amsterdam Centraal station.

The extra fee for the towels. That caught me off guard. Noise was also a concern at the middle of the night.

Breakfast was good and reasonable. Staffs were very friendly. Although it’s all got the basics it’s convenient and the English breakfast was good.

The bedroom lockers too small, my carry -on bag didn’t fit inside the small locker in the room. You don’t know who’s in and out of the room and on one day someone left the room unlocked!!! The extra storage downstairs is spacious enough to take carry on bag but it’s €6 for 12 hours. I think this is expensive.

Staff are very friendly, rooms are a good size and you get your own bathroom which I liked.

Very nice hostel. Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. Great location. The room has lockers but you need your own lock. You can also rent a towel for €5.

The shower in the room wasn't great as it's hard to take a shower beause of this shower head that directs water everywhere
