I like the set up and how easy it was to get back and fort from the city

It’s very near the central station. Decent amenities outside the room. Staff were accomodating.

Very poor internet connect at the room 144. No table inside the room. Unprepared beds (we had to put the linens ourselves). Disorganised form of booking- we booked for a twin room but turn out to be unavailable at the time of checking in. We were upgraded to a 2 twin bed room though which we appreciate. One of the staff at the reception (the black guy) was loud when answering our queries other members of staff were nice but they didn’t tell us beforehand what was happening that’s why we got agitated- communication needs improving.

Easy access from train station. Ensuite double rooms available. Good value buffet breakfast. Nice communal cafe area.

Room a little compact and mattress quite firm.

The location was good, easy connection to the main train station. Despite it is quite large hostel it was quite. The staff was really friendly.

The female 4 room was super small, there were no hangers or any desk to put my things anywhere, just one in the bathroom. The locker was too shallow for my hand luggage. The room was not cleaned during my stay at all, the hairs were everywhere on the floor, for this price I would expected some regular cleaning.

Great location, friendly personel. En suite room with separate toilet and shower, but also showers and toilets right outside the room. The bed was quite comfortable too.

No curtains for privacy (or to keep the light out at night) and the shower room isn’t very practical. There is a glass “wall” separating the shower area but unfortunately it doesn’t go all the way to the floor which makes the whole room wet while showering.

It is far on foot with luggage to facility.

Location was excellent using free ferry service, few minutes walk from when you get off ferry from central station . Convenient for Day trips around area . Staff were sll fine exception was one who was rude, uncooperative ! No kitchen, no microwave but can get free hot water to make your own hot drinks etc . Lockers in bedrooms bring your own your towel and padlock .

Windows didn't open in bedroom I stayed on first floor.

Great communal areas in the hostel - there is a real buzz and the whole building is very cool. The location is brilliant - just as you step off the ferry from Centraal Station. Amsterdam Noord is the place to be!

For a hostel, it was expensive, but that's Amsterdam for you.

Towels weren't great. Mine had a massive hole in the middle of it!

The location is amazing, two minutes' walk from the ferry point (ferries run 24/7). Checking in is easy, you do it yourself on a tablet and get a room key. I liked the bar too, open until midnight. The staff were friendly.

The room was tiny and the bed was rather creaky. I found it difficult to sleep being so conscious that any movements could wake the other hostellers up.

Super big property & just a very simple, free and quick ferry over to Amsterdam Centraal station. Good sized rooms & love that the ensuite rooms had a seperate shower & sink room, makes it easier when staying with multiple people if you’re all getting your at the same time.

The shower was extremely frustrating, the glass was about a foot off the ground & no door making the entire room wet as water went everywhere. This made it so you couldn’t have anything on the floor outside the shower otherwise it would be soaked. There was also insufficient storage for the shower room, a thin shelf & a few hooks on the wall. Not enough for clothes, toiletries & towels without having things piled up & falling off. The soap dispenser in our bathroom was also faulty and leaked soap all day leading to a pile up of soap on the ground. There was no daily house keeping either, the bins in the room were only changed once within my 4 night stay & only because a new roommate joined the dorm, no vacuuming or cleaning of the bathrooms.

This was my second stay at clink and definitely better one because I had a private room.

The bed was quite small.

There is no kitchen available for use, and therefore no cooking facilities such as a microwave. This is quite unfriendly to travelers, especially for a hostel-style accommodation.

Massive breakfast choice with friendly member of staff to tell you how it all works. Location was close and easy to get to central Amsterdam but without the noise.

Blind our room was permanently down and couldn’t be pulled up

I liked the location and the room and the price given the location. What is an advantage on location can also be a disadvantage. This location is dependent on the ferry being functional on a regular basis. My visit was during a very busy time of SAIL 2025 and the ferry service was suspended for a number of hours.

It’s a massive hostel — it almost feels like hosteling on an industrial scale, if that makes sense. It’s modern, clean, and well-designed.

Because is so massive and there's so many people coming and going, often you need something from the front desk and they’re swamped with people, which could definitely be improved, so you don't have to wait long in line to get a question answered. Also, the showers don’t contain the water well, so the whole bathroom ends up wet — a bit annoying. Apart from that, it’s a good place for a short stay in Amsterdam

Location was good and easy to get to Centraal via the ferry.

Room was a little small. The shower glass didn’t go all the way to the floor so made the floor went. Sink clogged in the toilet room. One of the girls in my room said she complained yet nothing was done

Had a good elevator and good ventilation in shared spaces like reception.

There only being one disabled toilet, and the air conditioning in some rooms not working.

I liked that the shared rooms (10 female dorm) had an ensuite in the room and split between shower and toilet so people weren't waiting. The facilities were good with more available than I realised. Safe lockers, compact but well built dorm room. Staff were friendly and helped with keeping medicine cold and offer towels and hair dryer if needed.

There could be more information on check in such as information on events and the fact that there is hot water for drinks 24/7 which I didnt know until check out. The communal areas are small than seem and taken up by peoples bags which I don't think should be allowed as people struggled for a place to sit at times and communal areas weren't cleaned up.

Iiked the female only dorms, the social hub and energy that come with this hostel. Staff are pleasant and friendly, other travellers are too. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for bunk beds and the sheets and pillows were adequate

No AC in the room, no way to open the window even on a safety latch. AMS is very hot sometimes and clink is even hotter.

We booked a womens only room of 4. The room had separate lockers and its own bathroom which was convenient. It was overall clean and comfortable enough to spend three nights there as we did. The location of the hostel was perfect.

You can‘t open the window in the room to ventilate after someone showered. The walls and doors are not very soundproof. Not a lot of necesseties available (i.e. you have to bring your own towel).

Bed was comfortable! Even though my room was close to the bar/lounge area, the music didn’t carry to the room itself.

There were no curtains on the beds, which I found weird considering there are mixed dorms.

There was no window that could be opened for fresh air.

The shared spaces were nice, and I really enjoyed the experience of taking the ferry to reach that part of the city. Overall, I found staying in that area more enjoyable than being in the city centre. Plus, the breakfast was quite good for the price

Taking a shower meant splashing water all over the toilet and the shower pod, which wasn’t ideal. The room itself was quite small, with no wardrobe, and although it was a private room, I expected much better natural light.

The location is unbeatable! Close to restaurants, ferry and Central Station. Less crowded than the other side of the river which makes biking easier.

Mess up with check-ins and assigned beds. I checked in, was given a bed but when I went to the room, someone else already was there and was given the bed. After I asked the staff to replace it, which they did, the new bed ALSO was taken, but fortunately another bed was free in the same room, so I ended up sleeping in that. This should be sorted out.

We appreciated the location, it was clean and well organised, the staff was nice and polite.

There were few lockers, the price was too high for an hostel, the shower was uncomfortable.

The 4 bed dorm rooms are way to cramped up
