Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel, Washington

The staff is very nice and helpful. I like that the hotel is within a 10 minute walk from the Union Station train/subway. The Capitol and Supreme Court is also within a 15 minute walk. One block away is a bicycle rental/retrieval station, although it was too cold on this visit to use the bikes (but I have used them on another stay at the Yotel in the summer).

The light controls are a little too futuristic. I had some trouble figuring out how it all worked. A simple on/off switch would be better. The shower has an on/off button that didn't seem to work at first. A few minutes after I pushed the button the shower finally started running. That was a bit odd.

The room is clean, quiet and fancy. The breakfast is super good.

There was a smell in the room when we arrived and the heating was not working. The staff were very helpful in rectifying the heating and providing extra blankets.

New and futuristic technology in the rooms. Very clean and comfortable.

Great location to the Capitol , room was clean and well kept.

Front desk was a little less than expected in service.

Having stayed at other YOTEL properties in other cities, I knew, more or less, what to expect. The room was a lot bigger than expected and was comfortable. The location, between Union Station and Chinatown works perfectly if attending an event or making out one of the airports.

Normally, the check-in process at a YOTEL goes smoothly, but here, the kiosk stated that my room wasn't ready, which is odd for 11:00 p.m. at night. A went to the desk, where they seemed to have my room ready. I did feel like the person at the desk was a little cold and distant. The only other thing to note was a lack of towels and the fact that the bed made a lot of noise as I was trying to adjust myself.

The staff was AMAZING! The beds were perfection. The location was close to a lot of attractions and sight seeing. Check in was easy.

they stopped offering complimentary coffee. that means you need to go and pay for coffee brewed a while back... for ~$400/night one would hope coffee was complimentary

Great shower, location was primo, bed was comfy, staff were helpful - a great address we wouldn’t hesitate to cone back to on another visit.

I couldnt figure out the lighting in the room (colors, dimmers etc) so left it to my companion to figure out. Eventually we just used the window blinds and standing lights for illumination…

Restaurant does not open until 7:30 even in workdays, coffee machine in the common area did not work. No tee or coffee was available in the hotel. Daily food credit ($10) is useless!

Food was good. Nice bar area. Walkable to train station.

Bed was not comfortable. Mattress was soft. Pillows were all large and think. I need a thinner pillow. Used a couple towels.

That Yotel was somewhat central to everything as far as museums, food, & entertainment.

The television wasn't set up to mirror my phone or having the capability to watch Netflix or YouTube.

Breakfast. I guess the standard in USA is generally way below the European (for the same level of accommodation). Air conditioning is too low in common spaces.

The bed was very comfortable. The shower was very spacious and the tv and lighting were good.

There was only 2 bath towels in the room for 4 people. When I asked for extra towels I was given 4 bath mats. The view was the rear of the hotel which was not pretty but also the window coverings didn’t work easily to let some light in.

Great location for main sights of DC and close by to Union Station and Metro. Really friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet or Brunch menu at weekends.

Clean, simple place, good location. Good for short stay.

No hand towels! Operating the lights is weird, unnecessarily complicated. No breakfast. Only a pub and it does not open until 10 am. We went to eat to Hyatt across the street. Lost business for you.

Perfect location for exploring the Capitol, the National Mall and the Smithsonian museums.

Not much. Just minor things like our window blind which was jammed stuck on closed and the odd arrangement of the sliding door to the bathroom which, when open, prevented access to the safe and fridge.

The room was very colorful and modern the beds with the movable base is a 10 out of 10

They do not offer wash cloths to bathe and when we asked housekeeping we were told to go to the front desk. You should at the very least offer tea and coffee at the hydration stations on each floor

I didn’t know they don’t provide wash cloths so that threw me off because I never experienced that . Wish the bed was more plush

The bed was great.

I did not like that there was no coffee in the room and there were no hand or face towels. The hotel is also directly next to the fire station and there were alarms/sirens going off all night with trucks coming and going.

Additional charges on top of room rate, called Facility Fee. While openly communicated during the reservation I did not like this, since this is mandatory, includes a non-refundable credit for food and beverages, use it or not - still have to pay. Very american, misleading and generally unpleasant element of the booking. I get it, business is business, still...

the location of the hotel is excellent access is easy its clean staff are very helpful its good value for money there are car parking facilities beside the hotel public transport close by room is spacious love the fold up bed .

the price of drink

The place was near to most of the tourist places at Washington.

The hotel was always clean and the staff were really friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring.

There is no longer coffee facilities in the hotel, all machines had been removed and we weren’t advised of this, there were no alternative options i.e. kettle in the room the only option was to wait u til the restaurant opened at half 7 to purchase coffee.

Location was perfect and very close to Union Station and the Capitol. I also loved the fact that the floors have no carpets.

The blanket was very thin and no face cloths. I asked for a face cloths and received 2, which was really nice.

Pool and room.

Steps to pool were grotty. Restaurant was mouse infested, other guests complained. I discovered this after my family with a baby had already been subjected to le petit suri cuisine. No other eating places nearby. Discussed it with reception and they passed the book as restaurant was run by a separate entity.

The location. The interior design. The restaurant at the Art & Soul hotel serves delicious food. The waitstaff in the restaurant is excellent.

There was no coffee on the floors, as before. There was no buffet breakfast available on Saturday and Sunday. There were no ice cube trays in the rooms or at the ice cube dispenser. The water in the ice cube and water dispenser tasted of chlorine. The taste of chlorine was clearly noticeable in the water served in the restaurant. A water filter should be standard equipment in a four-star hotel.

Great pool for relaxing. Location was convenient and price was fair

Check in was more complicated because the tech didn’t work properly so had to wait a while for someone to sort it out as there was a queue

Its location was perfect. 5 mins away from Union Station and very close to major sights.

The lack of information about room layout etc. For example I couldn’t find any light switches and room was dark so I had to ask reception how to turn on the lights - hidden in a touch panel that looked like a thermometer! Same with bed that was in sofa position - controls were hidden in arm. No coffee making facilities in room.
