Hotel Lombardy, Washington

The King Suite was very comfortable with a separate living room, bedroom, and kitchen area. Staff was always available and happy to help. Location was close to Metro.

Nice room, good location, nonstalgic.

No airco in bathroom

Very clean and ancient looking. I loved it.

The only thing I did not like is, they did not have a parking garage. To parking in yourself and instead you had to pay the valet parking or park on the street.

The staff was amazing very welcoming, helpful, friendly. Also, like the historian style of the rooms.

The air conditioning was effective and the room was cleaned regularly and well. We had a problem with an electric socket, which was resolved quickly.

The very rude waiter (Nathan) in the bar. Aside from him, the staff were efficient, if not exactly friendly.

breakfast was good. the room was big. we received free water bottles on arrival.

the airco was very noisy. the view from the window was none existant.

Gorgeous hotel, excellent location. The staff, on every level, was phenomenal -friendly and above and beyond service.

The location was excellent and the value was great. The staff were pleasant, though we barely saw any other than the valet and door person.

Only that the lounge/ bar/ food were open odd hours.

Welcoming. Old charm. Very comfortable beds

This was my first return visit since Covid lock down. The Lombardy has been my home away from home for many years. It was wonderful to see familiar faces, and to be recognized and welcomed after a long break. The hotel has its own charm, which never disappoints. The staff are always friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming.

Nothing really to complain about. For me personally the pillows weren't the most comfortable, and in my particular room, the sink counter was unusually low, but manageable. However, the counter also had tons of space to spread out with your own stuff!

Cleanness and location

They left just one Shampoo and lotion for us that were full ( not opened) but used before - as the paper had wrinkled from humidity- no body shower or conditioner and we were 3 people! It was a short trip for us and I did not bother to ask - that was the only thing I did not like!

We loved it. Its a very nice hotel and great value for the money. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the room was big and spaceous.

Can't say that I would critique much if anything at all. I guess the rooms are a little dated but to be honest that gave the hotel a more refined and nicer feeling as opposed to a modern chain hotel. Overall we did not find anything that we didn't like.

We loved everything! The staff are exceptional in every way. They are friendly, helpful, efficient and welcoming. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. It's also super close to many sights and 2 metro stations. Our room was well-furnished and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, staff, excellent amenities. We loved our stay. The staff are exemplary! The location is a dream and what a great experience. We will visit again and enjoy our next stay.

Full of character, not anodyne or boring! Rooms have been modernised well. Very impressed when the maintenance man promptly fitted a gadget onto the door handle to facilitate opening when I was struggling with that

Not much hanging or shelf space in the bathroom

If you want something more unique and cozy than the typical big chain hotels, Hotel Lombardy has a lot to recommend it. It is tastefully decorated in an old Federalist style compatible with the history of the area in DC; and the suite was spacious and practical. The refrigerator in the room was a very nice extra. Staff were kind and attentive, and the spiced water at reception was an unusual treat. While expensive, the price was very reasonable compared to to others in the same vicinity.

The bed was modern, but the mattress was a bit to hard for my comfort. A little updating throughout would be helpful.
