Great Hotel in the Vienna City center
Very nice botique hotel in the city center with great rooftop bar and great schnitzel restaurant on the main floor. Very friendly staff.

Great neighborhood and comfortable stay
Clean and quiet room. Has all that you need for a comfortable stay, chair, table, luggage rack, good shower, separate toilet room, good a/c etc. it takes getting used to the shower being right beside the bed but I appreciated the shower an sink being separate from toilet. Location is also great with good restaurants and sites nearby.

Loved Vienna and enjoyed our stay at the Grand Ferdinand.
The location was excellent. We didn't use many of the hotels facilities but staff were helpful and we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great design/decor & location, the roof top breakfast was the highlight, especially the rooftop staff.
The staff in the dining room on the ground floor were snooty, unhelpful & slow - really poor for an otherwise excellent hotel.
The room was well equipped apart from being quite small with almost no hanging space for clothes or space for suitcases.

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location with baffling shower and sink.
The building was beautiful and had a very welcoming aesthetic, and the staff were all very friendly. The restaurant at the ground floor and the bar at the top floor were both excellent. The location of the hotel was perfect, within easy walking distance to the center of the city!
The room layout with the shower by the bed and bathroom sink by the bed and a separate non-sink WC for the toilet was bizarre and unappealing. The shower water never got sufficiently hot (even though the sink was extremely hot). The fitness center was very small and had very limited equipment. The Wi-Fi was quite slow and unreliable.

The glamour of the past
Wellbeing of guests is very important for everyone who is working in the hotel. Superb terrace for breakfast, specialy good food, excellent bars and a restaurant, quiet room, ... Also the location is good - near the most important city sights and near park.

Overall a nice stay and the staff was very friendly
The location is great and the restaurant on top is very nice with an amazing view.

Since April 2016, I have stayed at this hotel 20 times.
Since April 2016, I have stayed at this hotel around 20 times. Because I always made my bookings through booking.com, as the receptionist explained to me, the Grand Ferdinand is unable to recognize this through their system. As a result, the hotel has never been able to acknowledge me in any way as a returning guest.
The reception staff are excellent, as is the management of the housekeeping service. I always evaluate hotels based on the availability of shoehorns and newspapers: according to the reception, no shoehorns were available, which is due to the sporty clientele who tend to wear sneakers—however, newspapers are very plentiful at breakfast.
I have experienced breakfast on the rooftop terrace more than 50 times—it is a true delight, and its concept has evolved several times over the past decade. The three restaurants, which offer very solid quality following revised concepts, should also not go unmentioned.
