The room was very, very nice! Also, the roof top bar and pool is lovely! What I love most is the Schnitzel Restaurant just downstairs, and also the Gulasch-Lounge next door (which also belongs to the hotel). The waiter there was very attentive.

Great design/decor & location, the roof top breakfast was the highlight, especially the rooftop staff.

The staff in the dining room on the ground floor were snooty, unhelpful & slow - really poor for an otherwise excellent hotel. The room was well equipped apart from being quite small with almost no hanging space for clothes or space for suitcases.

Staying at Grand Ferdinand was a highlight of my trip to Vienna. The hotel has a unique "reinvigorated grandeur" style that feels very upscale but not stuffy. The rooftop pool and terrace offer a spectacular view over the city rooftops—it was the perfect place to unwind. ​The room was beautifully designed with high-quality finishes, and the location on the Ringstraße made it incredibly easy to walk to the Opera House and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Also, the breakfast at Gulasch & Söhne was excellent.

Nothing significant. The open-plan bathroom concept in the room is stylish, though it might be worth noting for those who prefer more traditional privacy.

The building was beautiful and had a very welcoming aesthetic, and the staff were all very friendly. The restaurant at the ground floor and the bar at the top floor were both excellent. The location of the hotel was perfect, within easy walking distance to the center of the city!

The room layout with the shower by the bed and bathroom sink by the bed and a separate non-sink WC for the toilet was bizarre and unappealing. The shower water never got sufficiently hot (even though the sink was extremely hot). The fitness center was very small and had very limited equipment. The Wi-Fi was quite slow and unreliable.

Wellbeing of guests is very important for everyone who is working in the hotel. Superb terrace for breakfast, specialy good food, excellent bars and a restaurant, quiet room, ... Also the location is good - near the most important city sights and near park.

We had a room facing the courtyard and it didn’t quite feel as cozy and nice.

Since April 2016, I have stayed at this hotel around 20 times. Because I always made my bookings through booking.com, as the receptionist explained to me, the Grand Ferdinand is unable to recognize this through their system. As a result, the hotel has never been able to acknowledge me in any way as a returning guest. The reception staff are excellent, as is the management of the housekeeping service. I always evaluate hotels based on the availability of shoehorns and newspapers: according to the reception, no shoehorns were available, which is due to the sporty clientele who tend to wear sneakers—however, newspapers are very plentiful at breakfast. I have experienced breakfast on the rooftop terrace more than 50 times—it is a true delight, and its concept has evolved several times over the past decade. The three restaurants, which offer very solid quality following revised concepts, should also not go unmentioned.

Breakfast was a quite expensive for us and we preferred to test the wonderful cafes of Vienna. And about 100 EUR deposit muss be informed the guest on booking.com by booking the hotel.

This is a wonderful hotel with an amazing team that truly cares about their guests. The staff will not leave you alone with any issue - they are always ready to help and genuinely involved in solving any problem that may arise. Special thanks to Mark for his humanity, attentiveness and sincere willingness to help. He approaches every situation with real care and dedication, which makes a huge difference. The entire hotel team is absolutely top-level - professional, friendly and very supportive. The location of the hotel is also excellent - very convenient and well situated. I have already stayed here three times and will definitely come back again.

The hotel was well located and near to the city centre. We walked everywhere. The rooms are very clean and modern with very comfortable beds. Staff are professional. I would highly recommend it.

A little bite more attentive towards the guests but overall very good. It would be nice if the bar on the top floor was open at night.

Quite expensive and no room service. For that price and size of the hotel one would expect some kind of spa or room service, especially since there are good restaurants on site, but one needs to reserve beforehand and I don’t think you can write expenses on the room in some cases.

Very good location. Great choice at breakfast. We loved the scent of the bath products! :) And the fruity candies in the room were our favorites. Also, there's a bottle of water and a coffee machine in the room, a very nice touch. BTW the barman in "Goulash und Söhne" downstairs makes awesome schnitzel.

Breakfast was very expensive. Also, just a warning, not bad but needs getting used to: the sink is in the room; there is no "bathroom" as such. There's the loo, and then there's a sink and a shower stall in the actual bedroom. It was somewhat surprising and disconcerting.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. Awesome details, comfort, rooftop view of Vienna. Great food and perfect location❤️

Fantastic location for access to Musikverein and museums

We wanted a twin room (I.e. 2 beds) but this was difficult for the hotel. We reached a compromise where we paid for a larger room and the hotel installed an additional temporary bed. We also thought the cost of the breakfast buffet is outrageous

Great location, comfortable bed, really super nice breakfast.

Note that the shower is open to the bedroom, so it works well for a couple but may be more difficult for friends.

The best location related the visit of Opera :-) The breakfest is amazing on the roof terrase :-)
