Hotel Flora, Venice

A hotel with charming atmosphere. Our room was on the small size but that wasn't an issue. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was just ok.

My teenage daughter and I loved staying at Hotel Flora! The room was clean and comfortable (so glad there’s air conditioning), the delicious Italian breakfast in the garden was relaxing but most of all we appreciated Marco’s friendliness, professionalism and assistance at the front desk with making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. We will only stay at Hotel Flora next time we’re back in Venice!

It is an older former Venetian home so it had lots of old world charm. The breakfast was excellent. The chocolate croissants were to die for. It would have been nice to have had a canal view.

I loved how wonderful and helpful the staff was. They went above and beyond to make our stay an amazing one from taking our luggage to our rooms while we were out, to allowing us to eat breakfast before time, to escorting us to the theater taxi for the airport. Air conditioning was AMAZING!! Beautiful garden and the music made it feel like a scene in a movie. Perfect!!!

Hotel Flora is a cozy, family owned and operated hotel. It is a small palace, converted to hotel, with a relaxing lounge, secluded little garden and great bar. You live and breathe Venetta there. It’s also right in the middle of the luxury shopping street.

Had a good time and Marco took care of us and even called the taxi for us in the AM. It’s in a great location!

AC was a bit warm, but it cooled down in the PM.

Such a charming hotel and the courtyard seating was a plus- we were able to take a break there and order a drink to relax in the afternoons. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The staff was helpful and so courteous. Their restaurant suggestions were excellent.

Totally tranquil & quiet in the heart of San Marco but so near to so much. It is a bit harder to get to in the arrival than some there, but they handled our departure by water taxi from start to finish. Staff is so relatable & committed to your enjoyment that you will feel like family.

The complexion Arriving in Venice whether by train or air is a real one. We had a private driver meet us at the airport luggage claim & drive us to our reserved water taxi - but it’s still racing.

Family run and perfect in every way, lovely breakfast fabulous decor and a perfect welcome to Venice.

Wonderful calm spot minutes away from everything. We had a family room room with a queen, a double pull-out and a single bed for a family with a 7 and 10yo. Breakfast was wonderful and just the right thing to get the day started. Very accommodating for early bag-drop and overall the staff are absolutely amazing. We took the semi-private boat from the airport and the hotel is a very shot walk from the closest stop.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Excellent staff! They did everything to make our stay great. Guided us on things to do and helped reserving restaurants. Also: superb breakfast!

The service, excellent suggestions for meals, family feeling like you were in your own home, and if it were not for Marco doing our boarding passes we would have missed our plane. Love the patio and cozy bar area. Room 3 was excellent for my patio view and size of sleeping area.

The bathroom could be updated. Not enough shelf space. Needed a place to hank undergarments. Some of the other rooms needed some updating.

Beautiful building, well maintained, nice inner yard. Very nice staff, helpful and knowledgeable. Room was cleaned everyday. Excellent location, never regret about our choice.

The walls separating our bathroom from the neighbors were extremely thin, so we heard every move.. Luckily we got quiet neighbors

Fire alarm went off at about 6am meaning we had to evacuate our rooms. This was due to burning croissants. No formal apology for an unacceptable avoidable disturbance. There appeared to be only one fire evacuation route from the fourth floor which was alarming had there actually been a fire!

The location was so lovely! We didn’t need a canal view, so overlooking the courtyard was fine. Staff was kind and knowledgeable .

lighting in the rooms is terrible!

Of course the rooms can be different, but our family room (number 15) was just perfect, with a view to the courtyard. The hotel has a family feel, the staff is so nice, the atmosphere calm. At the same time it is only a 100 m from San Marco. A hidden oasis. Details we loved: library with guidebooks, newspapers to read, and eco-conciousness!

Everything was very good. Personally, I wasn`t inspired by the breakfast. The seating can be more comfortable - the breakfast room is more suitable for evening drinks than for eating.

Ideally located, comfy and traditional, good breakfast included. We particularly liked the bar/breakfast room and garden.

The room was overheated- 24 degrees In March and no cooling so sleep difficult. However we were offered a better room. Which was also better laid out. Staff always attentive and helpful.

Clean, comfy room. The team was excellent with our toddler and making sure he was happy as well. Tremendous breakfast! Fantastic location.

Location is great, in very calm place, but very close to main sightseeings. Atmosphere is amazing, staff is very friendly. The place for breakfast is charming and it’s well served.

Can’t think of anything!

We stayed at the hotel during the Venice Carnival. Hotel Flora makes you feel truly in Venice, with its bucolic gardens, the breakfast atmosphere, the bar, the room, all decorated with details that characterize the charm of Venice. The service was excellent, from our check-in, late in the night, with our new friend from Rishikesh, to the reception staff, giving valuable tips about the city. All this on the coolest street of Venice, 5 min from Piazza San Marco. I do recommend.

Bathroom was very small

The boutique hotel property is nestled down an alley in the shopping district on Venice a short walk from St Marks square. We were able to take a private water taxi and be dropped a short walk away. We stayed in a family room and were able to sleep comfortably. Furnishings are beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious homemade breads, yogurt and granola, coffee and juice. For a slight up charge you could get pancakes and eggs too. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of and had a wonderful stay. They helped us with directions and suggestions on restaurants too. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The hotel was warm, cosy and inviting with a real Italian style. The staff were delightful and helpful, from making delicious cocktails in the bar with gorgeous nibbles to recommending restaurants. Although extremely central it was quiet at night. Even continuous rain didn’t spoil our trip.

There really wasn’t anything to dislike.

Beautiful breakfast served by such wonderful, experienced staff. This hotel is so good we promised we wouldn’t tell our friends about it! We want to keep it a secret..
