Hostel Combo Venezia, Venice

Very cool hostel in an old convent, had a beautiful duplex loft with windows overlooking the canal, brick face and art deco decorations. Great location next to the water and boat to the airport.

Spacious, modern with old, trendy chill kinda vibe. Great facilities, from laundry to very good restaurant, and luggage storage - if required. Close to public water taxi stations.

Leaky shower situation.

Lively atmosphere, variety in guests, friendly staff, historic building, location (quiet, close to Fondazione Nove vaporetti and Alilunga airport ferry, nice Cannaregio district), basic room with comfortable double bed (and less comfortable single bed), refrigerator (though noisy), private bathroom with good sanitary, clean, daily housekeeping, fantastic courtyard, bar with food options, various terraces, luggage storage.

Harsh light in room, no bedside lamp. Low quality bread at breakfast.

We loved the location and the staff, and of course, the history. As a hostel the bare minimum is in the room but it was super comfortable. We had a canal view which was lovely.

The expense is totally worth it if you love history, like we do! I would definitely stay again

The breakfast was amazing. Super fresh. The only thing I would add would be a little bit more diversity. But iwas great nonetheless.

The room access was made from a staircase outside which looked a bit like an emergency exit. We could see through the floor all the way down and it was a bit uncomfortable to walk on. Perhaps covering it with something would help.

Beautiful old building with a super cool renovation in a great part of Venice. Lots of amenities and a good breakfast. Breakfast coffee was not great but there is excellent espresso for a very low price at the cafe. Staff was great, the loft apartment was great, we would love to return.

It is close to the B aliglaguna stop which brings people from the airport to Venice. It is a beautiful building which has married modern renovations with period architecture. Very friendly staff Restaurant was excellent, though a little small in capacity. Our room was a really unexpected delight, we had a family suit with bid double bed and a single with a view over a canal.

We paid extra for breakfast which although did the job was disappointing.

Breakfast was fine. Good coffee available at the bar. We love the minimalist design of the hotel. The super powerful shower, the canal view. Two minute walk from the Alilaguna ligne blue. As for the vaporetto to Burano. Super comfortable king sized bed.

Lack of lighting options in the room, there were no functioning smaller lights, only big over head ones.

Clean. Big space in the room. Located away from the tourist area. Good communication. Nice clean bathroom with great sized towels.

The beds were a bit hard and the one hard pillow was not ideal.

The atmosphere is casual, low key and nice, while the spaces and building itself are amazing. Fabulous room, very spacious, delicious and varied breakfast, stunning views, courtyards, design.

Very nice building in a very calm location. The staff is amazing and our room was very spacious and bed super comfortable. The breakfast was ok and they also had gluten free options.

The only thing that I woul mention here is that in our bathroom there was a used contact lenses package which was probably left by a previous guest and this says that the cleaning was not super deep. Also, the shower door is not closing well causing the water to exit when you shower

Located close to water taxi, room size was good, beds were comfortable, view was nice but opening the windows were a pain, breakfast was good!

It was too hot, the temperatures could not be lowered below 25C, the front desk person had to reset it, but the second and third night it was so hot, I don’t think the AC was working, just the fan, Couldn’t sleep. Also there were mosquitoes so we couldn’t open the windows as well. But I guess in Venice mosquitoes are common?

The courtyard with bars for drinks and food is a lovely place to sit and plan the day and relax after busy days. The building is very interesting and has its history explained in the rooms. They had events like an art talk and a clothing market in the communal spaces. The location near Fondamente Nove is perfect for getting around by vaporetti but also easy to walk to Biennale in Giardini and Arsenale. It's 10mins by boat to Murano. There are local food and grocery shops within 10mins walk and plenty of bars and restaurants. So we didn't eat at the Combo restaurant though it looked nice, we did have bacaro from the bar at the front which was a treat. The room had desks which we used for our stuff and stored the suitcases underneath. There were wardrobes in the kitchen which was odd but we got used to it. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. The coffee was not good but real coffee was available from the bar. We loved staying here and hope to do so again.

Minor points but we had to navigate the bridge with many steps with our suitcases to get to the hotel. This was fine but we hadn't expected this. The room had windows onto the fire escape where occasionally people would chat and smoke. We had a tiny glimpse of the sky. This didn't really matter as we were out all day but it would have been nice to have a view. Our blinds were drawn all the time so no one could look in.

Amazingly versatile hostel hotel. We stayed in the private room option. Wonderful breakfast, full service restaurant if you want. Located right next to the Nove water bus station, the perfect location to explore Murano and Burano from as well as a 900m walk from San Marco.

A really nice, clean and exceptional hotel in a historical building. Perfect choice for friends (there was a table between the beds). We had a room with a canal (and sea) view. Perfect location close to everything. Really easy to reach from the airport by waterbus. Tickets to the Alilaguna waterbus can be bought from the ticket machine located in the baggage claim area at the airport (15€ one way).The pier F.Te Nove is located about 200 m from the hotel. Breakfast was good. Last day we left the hotel before the breakfast and they gave us ”breakfast bags” - that was highly appreciated.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. But the lack of the fridge didn’t bother us much because there were a lot of restaurants near by and also a grocery store was just behind the corner.

We really enjoyed the social aspect of the Hostel and the large common areas. Also the staff was extraordinarily friendly. Also we liked the location in the quietn neighbourhood of Canareggio. Highly recommended.

A bit noisy at night An extra pillow would have been great. Wish we had realised we could have had a take-away breakfast. Had to leave before breakfast started which was a pain as we'd paid for it, but only found out upon leaving that they would have packed one to go for us.

This time we had a room overlooking an inner courtyard. The Hotel has a very modern interior and all facilities are perfect. Well thought through by the Architects and good design. The Location is the best, because easy to reach via Fondamente Nove.

The light in the inner courtyard was left on all night and the blinds in the room were not dark enough. All night we could year all night trampling of feet coming from the upper level. The walls and floors not soundproof at all.

We stayed in a double room with canal view and it was clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is great within a very short walking distance to the ferry stop. There was a nice bar on site and the breakfast was good.

The room was a little chilly, and the heating was blowing cold air, but an extra blanket was provided, so it was OK.

Fabulous location near the Vaporetto stop. A store not far away and an easy walk to Peggy Guggenheim and Fortuny museums. Not in the main tourist trail thank goodness.staff really helpful and a great bar

This place is very close to dock, and easy to find hospital, supermarket nearby. Nice yard, good place to stay.

The location was perfect. very close to The ferry stops and water. It was quiet, it was clean and it was perfect place to stay for us.

The place is a hotel, hostel and student residence. In my opinion, it should be better separated.

The staff is friendly and the room is very nicely furnished. Breakfast was perfect. I highly recommend staying here.

We loved Combo Venezia. It's in a quieter, less touristy area and near to a vaporetti stop. The renovated building is beautiful with lovely courtyards. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a hairdryer when asked. There is a lift to the upper floors. There was a great choice at breakfast. We'd love to come back!

The air conditioning goes off during the night so the room did get warm but this is a very minor detail.

This is a really neat hotel- that is a room we had booked. It came with its washroom in a loft type of room. The atmosphere of this place was a really laid back as I believe it is combined with some hostel accomodations so there was a lot of younger travelling population. The breakfast was really good and had a variety of options. On the grounds there was also a bar and a reataurant! So many accommodations. The courtyard was very beautiful too. Just a really cool location- super close to the water bus too

A an extremely hip restoration of an old monetary. Beautiful common spaces and very relaxed vibe. Very warm staff and clean room. Excellent location. The piazza outside the property is really special.
