The hotel is a great location for downtown. Very clean updated rooms.

No fridge in the room, but you could request one. Then with the limited space room becomes unusable. Get rid of the fridge with pay to buy crap. Put in a fridge guests can use. Buffet was really expensive for standards that were generic at best, Luke warm and uninspired.

The location was close to Scotiabank Arena and the hall of fame.

The ceiling in our room was cracking and seemed a little rundown. We also requested a fridge for our room and it took almost an hour to receive it.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel is a fabulous place to stay whilst in Toronto. The location, accommodation and facilities are spot on.

Have been a guest at this hotel during vacations in Toronto several times during the past ten years and have seen changes which, on the whole, have been mainly positive. The one change which I found disappointing this time was the volume off noise within the lobby area which is now a dining area. The noise level, which would be more appropriate in a nightclub, spoils the atmosphere of the hotel during the evening hours. Therefore didn’t make a booking for dinner there during our stay as my husband and I wouldn’t have enjoyed dining with such an uncomfortable noise level. We dined in The Library Bar instead which was a little quieter.

Elevators weren't working, had to climb stairs, never seating available at the Lobby Bar. There was also an extremely noisy party on the 2nd floor with people getting rowdy in and around the elevators.

Just a great place to stay!

This is important because there is an insurance risk for the hotel here. My wife is a retired insurance worker and very experienced in this field. We were/are in room 12126, and you definitely need to look into the shower in this room. Please have someone come into and check the shower by turning it on, with the lights ON in the bathroom. Once the water starts to run, you will see that it is spilling over and running out of the electrical light outlet directly above the person showering. You are running a significant risk here and need to have someone look into it immediately. There is a real danger here. We have no complaints with regards to the hotel though. We have Just wanted to give you a heads up. We love staying here and spent an anniversary a few years ago in a gold room and had an unforgettable experience. Great location. Walking distance to a wide variety of activities.

Room was cute but a little small. No fridge in the room.

The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We had one bar tender at reign who was an absolute joy and passionate about his craft.

The rooms didn’t match the level a quality of the hotel itself. Hotel was beautiful but the rooms were very basic small bathroom space. Reign restaurant was not good at all for dinner and we tried again for breakfast. I actually threw my food up.

The room , bathroom definitely needed renovating. Bathroom fixtures and renos were surprisingly unsatisfactory. Always love the old ambiance of the building and rooms but was not happy the moment we walked into our room. Maybe that’s what I should have expected because I booked it through booking.com. who knows. Breakfast was tasty and wonderful as always. Staff were kind and helpful. Calling you by name and making you feel appreciated. As you can see we were happy with everything during our stay except the room.

For the money the bathroom in our room was very small and felt squished.

Room was way too warm no matter how cold we set the temp.

Breakfast offerings were exceptional.

Room service vegetable pizza was disgusting. Raw vegetables and under cooked crust. Tomato sauce was more like tomato soup.
