Hotel Brown Beach House, Tel Aviv

Great location, friendly and helpful staff,

Furniture in room was "tired" and worn. While we were upgraded, thank you, the room seems to have been very nice 10 or 20 years ago. Needs renovation. Breakfast was OK, but not amazing.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel is very poor. The hallways and walls are not well maintained, and the restrooms lack proper hygiene. The elevators are outdated and in need of renovation. Access to the parking lot is difficult, and there is a strong musty odor throughout the premises

Convenient position

The property is tired, dirty, in need of a complete re-do. There are filthy dirty curtains in the entrance area and the room. Mouldy tiles in the bathroom. Disgusting! I found 2 huge cockroaches in my room. One running across the floor and one climbing up the wall behind my bed !!! The staff were absolutely wonderful people all of them. It is very clear the hotel needs a complete makeover. The furniture on the balcony was filthy !!

Great location near the beach. The room was very comfortable and I loved having a bathrobe. The included breakfast was delicious and very generous, but people should know that it's a la carte and not a buffet as they might be expecting. That means you order from a menu and then wait for it to be prepared, which is fine if you're not in a hurry to catch a bus or attend a meeting.

I had an issue with lack of availability of taxis to the airport the morning I was leaving due to the Tel Aviv Marathon which I only found out about the night before I was due to leave. That's not the fault of the hotel but they could have informed guests in advance that there would be road closures. I ended up moving to a different hotel close to the airport to make sure I wouldn't miss my flight.

Run down, ugly design, bad service. Doesn't feel clean in the lobby, elevator, etc. Minibar doesn't cool. The receptionist didn't answer the phone for 30 min while I was trying to park.

There’s nothing to like in this place which is practically falling apart

I’m at a loss for words with this place. It is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at, they make no effort to pick up objects left on the floor by the previous guests, clean the bathrooms or remove very visible stains from the sofas. Smell of mold throughout the entire hotel. Everything is old and dated. Bottom line- AVOID at all costs

The hotel is rundown and feels really dirty. Even though they upgraded us, the room was small and the couch was filthy. Even the furniture outside is filthy and generally the hotel isn’t very pleasant. The mattress was hard and could use a new one generally it’s not what I’m used to so I won’t be coming back.

Our stay at Brown Beach House was excellent from start to finish. Upon arrival, Jasmine treated us like her friends and even upgraded our room voluntarily. She was extremely accommodating throughout our entire stay. When we realized we booked an extra night by accident, Jasmine and the manager offered to give us our money back without us even asking for it. We stayed at multiple hotels during our holiday, but the ambiance, service, staff, cleanliness, and located of Brown Beach hotel was unmatched. We will definitely be coming back for all of our future stays in Tel Aviv.

Location

Location absolutely excellent, close to beach, restaurants, Dizingof Mall. Bus station in the front of the hotel. They make us upgrade to a suite and it was really great. Parking is a big plus in Tel Aviv but not all the time we found parking. Usually we found parking after 10pm.

Probably the breakfast. In Israel the breakfast is rich. Here was a la carte and even like that not like in a regular restaurant who offer breakefast. No option for fruits, vegetables except a small salad.

The bedroom window was blocked to another building bo view at all nothing and the room is tiny and old

Friendly helpful reception staff who helped effectively with multiple questions and requests for rebooking, local transport and phone connections.

Traffic noise - why do Israelis toot their car horn so often? Hopefully roadworks in the area for the light rail expansion will finish this year

Not a whole lot

My initial room was so small and pokey. The bigger upgraded room was fair but not really value for money. Level 6 was definitely better than the rest of the hotel but truly lacking in supervision on the cleaning side. I found the staff to be so disorganised and inefficient and unfriendly and the room seriously in need of a massive clean and renovation. The breakfast was decent but the whole restaurant needs to be upgraded and cleaned.

Nothing to like except the fast check in process when they are very quick to take your money

They lie about a “sea view” the room is completely closed with broken blinds, and the only way to see any view of the ocean is to step out in the terrace and look between two buildings and get the obstructed view. They misrepresent and lie completely about the view from the room. They also lie about the jacuzzi, there is no working jacuzzi and it’s an old broken hotub. They also outright lie that it’s “beachfront”, they are literally two blocks from the beach and no idea how they get away with this, but I intend to get this corrected. If anything is wrong with your room, expect them to do nothing but they may give you wine and a tiny bag of popcorn and expect this to make up for everything. Truly shameful.

The room was perfect with amazing sea view and all the perks a couple could enjoy. The private hot tub was the best, and the front desk team were super nice and welcoming. I would definitely come back.

The location almost by the beach in central TLV is unbeatable. We got an upgrade on our room. The room we ended up with, was like a suite with an enormous living area plus a lovely balcony with partial seaview. Lovely. The bed was comfortable and huge too. You get towels for the beach and the whole vibe about the place is great.

I love the fact that hotel is one street from the beach💙 the team are so helpful and make sure every detail is taken care of. I actually came back twice on the same trip!

Nothings it’s great!

The room was specious and clean. Bathroom was clean and big. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Location was good.

Staff was very helpful and friendly, they did their best for us to enjoy our honeymoon. We loved the spacious room and bathroom, the toiletries smelled nice and the free caramelised popcorn was yummy. Early check in and late check out was possible without any problem.

The balcony with the jacuzzi is not very well positioned, people from the hotels around had a nice view on us. The breakfast is á la carte, which is fine, but not very much.

I loved all of it. Extremely friendly staff. Excellent location. Clean and beautifully decorated. You get beach towels and a beach bag. The balcony has a place to dry clothes. The bus stop is immediately in front of the hotel and will take you to the train station

Terrace room was success. Good service, we had a chance to take a shower even we had already checked out but because the flight was at night, they were so kind. Very good breakfast! Many didn’t like the breakfast, because it is not a buffet style. But we loved it, and had chance to taste quite manu different dishes. Absolutely fantastic.

The check-in experience was quick, easy, and seamless. The property very clean and within 2 minutes of the beach.

The suite was so big, clean and bed very very confortable. Sea views. Big restroom. Tatsy food.

The closet very small. Spa was a bit simple. There isn't coffee machine or snacks in the minibar. There isn't the bar in the first floor.

Nice, cosy, very clean hotel with friendly and helpfull staff. Car parking was easy. Good breakfast and very good location. Highly recommended! Won’t hesitate to stay there again!

The bathroom - plugs didn’t work, bathtub / shower was awful. I am short and could barely step into tub to take a shower. Only 1 elevator worked during our stay and it wasn’t Shabbat!
