Location is perfect to use high speed train and visit Taipei and Taiwan Personel has been huge and help use in different way room was comfortable and spacious for 4

Provide mug at breakfast in order to have large tea or coffee we had to use paper take away cups not really tasty !

Convenience to shopping mall and taoyuan airport metro.

The room is dusty. Stayed for two nights, but the room was not tidied up properly.

Lights were difficult to control via their control panel, room can be a little too dim so this place is perfect for couples 🤗

Right next to Taipei Main Station. Very central and places just walking distance from the property. Is right next to a mall and also several convenience stores around. Service staff are friendly and helpful. Very homey feeling to it.

Is a bit of an older property but well maintained. Gym is small, but have enough equipment for a proper workout. Need to be careful with the reusable bottles, one of mine had a chip in the neck of the bottle. I do appreciate the green initiative.

The lighting of the hotel. It was very dimly lit in all areas.

Staying here in the holiday season you're guaranteed a very Christmasy experience, from the decked out trees at the entrance and the reception to the green and red light bulbs of the chandeliers. The hotel is decorated like a Parisian boudoir with half of the lights dimmed to a flicker. The room on the executive floor is well appointed and access to the lounge is a plus. The hotel is next to a shopping mall and close to the metro. The breakfast is well stocked with Asian food.

The lighting or rather lack of it. I think this point has been made by other reviewers so it was hardly a surprise but it really is VERY dark. Even if you turn on all the lights in your room, it is still surprisingly quite "atmospheric". If you prefer well lit and bright, this hotel is not for you. But if you're up for some mood lighting, you'll love it. Note: even the breakfast room is dark! :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great, right across the street from Taipei Station, which is a major transit hub. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the hotel was decorated nicely.

The lighting controls were not intuitive. A crazy as it sounds, it took us 30 minutes to figure out how to turn off all the lights (hint, use the touchscreen on the desk to "turn off all lights") as the buttons did not work as expected. When pressing the button to turn off the night reading light, half the time other lights would randomly turn on. Also, it's a huge step to get into the bathtub, which has a slippery floor.

Very close to Taipei Main Station and just next to QSquare Mall for convenience . The toilets at level 6 were amazing and the sparkling water was a bonus treat .

Breakfast offers were quite limited by international hotel standards but there was generous offers on traditional local food .

The lighting of the room at the mirror was not helping with make up. It will cast shadow and it a bit dark to look at the quality of the make up.

Very nice & big room with large comfortable bed. Overlooked main road but very quiet due to good double-glazed windows. Good breakfast. All very clean. Staff very polite, helpful & efficient. Good central location adjacent to shopping centre with good restaurants.

Room was very clean but carpet and furniture slightly old. Common areas are bit dark.

The umbrella service was great. I loved that they have a family room for 4 which not all hotels have. The room was big and spacious and most of the staff were friendly.

The only thing I did not like was how difficult it was to switch on and off the lights. Perhaps the check in counter could have told us that we could have used AI to turn on and off the lights in the room

This hotel lights are a little bit darker than it should be, sometimes it’s hard to see, everything else is good

Great stay and location. We had a wonderful bath in our room. The doormen were so helpful and went out of their way to help with our luggage which we was very kind.

the lighting in the room, specifically the bathroom area is not good. all of the lighting is also difficult and confusing to control.

- Rooms are really beautiful - Hotel staff is some of the best we had at any in Taiwan - The restaurant looks awesome (didn’t get to try it) - Very close to main station - Tons of restaurants, shopping, etc nearby

- No bar in the property - Rooms never got below 21C (nitpick)

Right outside the main MRT station. Hotel has very strong design themes, but tastefully executed. Loved having bottomless supply of sparkling water just outside the room. Bath tub with bath salts was very nice touch. Included breakfast is top notch.

Excellent location and spacious rooms and helpful staff. Easy to walk to main sites as well as use metro.

Room lighting needed to be easier to understand and use (took us ages to work out how to use the lights) and also wasn't bright enough when on top settings. Might have been good to offer a massage service on site.

The staff at Palais de Chine are so lovely! Especially Victor! The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great walking location near 2 MRT lines, rail, buses and tours and QSquare shopping mall. Breaky was super fantastic! Not too far to Nowhere bar and a smaller Night Market (Ningxia) is in walking distance too (20mins).

Charging points beside the bed would be really great! The hotel is designed to be like inside a castle so the darkness wasn’t a problem for us. There is a pool available for guests but it is quite a distance and is charged at 400NT.

The staffs are very supportive by arranging another room for me when I told them i have sleep issue

Good location - within walking distance to Taipei Main Station, MRT and bus station .. next to QSquare mall .. friendly staff and reasonable facilities ..

Breakfast is quite expensive .. also the whole hotel and lifts are dimly lit in the nights .. sometimes hard to even see the floor number ..

So easy to get to shops and train station. The buffet breakfast was the best I have ever had, the Asian selection was extensive and so delicious. Our room was very comfortable and bath tub was inviting but unfortunately I did not have time to use it

The rooms have a round large bath tub that have to hold on to rail to climb in to and not very 'user friendly'. The hotel does not have a bar.

I can’t open both water bottles in my room. I ended up just going out to hallway and get from the sparking water station.

It had its own character!! We loved the theme for Halloween!

The location is ideal as it’s close to MRT and the main station. It next yo a shopping Center and perfect to shield from the rain during the typhoon days.

There is no coveted drop off. Drop off is at the Main Street so n It’s not so convenient during the wet days. Reception is on the 6th floor.

Room very comfortable, unusual bath/shower in living area. Large , deep tub/shower with curtain for privacy. Sink also in living area. Location a few blocks from Main Train Station.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Great and reliable service. Location is great. Even there's a typhoon day off, the next door mall stays open, we had meals there and kept ourselves entertained.

The decor is not my cup of tea, but i guess people consider it luxury and classic? Also the bed could be bigger...

Strategic location with plenty of restaurants nearby and opposite Taipei Main Train Station.

The worst hotel room pillows I have ever slept on. Old, smelly & thin. No toothbrush, toothpaste & shower cap. Remember to BYO as you need to purchase from front desk if needed. You need to refill your own drinking water. The VIP Lounge evening cocktail canapés are limited and not impressive.
