Dandy Hotel, Taipei

Many freebies included with the room from the buffet breakfast to the laundry and dryer to snacks all day long including cup noodles for late nights. Weighing scale at the lobby for luggages and super attention to detail as they surprised one of my guest with a birthday cake as they noted his birthday during check in. Extremely happy with everything.

Room had a chlorine smell but that's only proof of the extensive cleaning of the room.

Nice breakfast with a lot of selections. Location of the hotel is very convenient, it is close to MRT red and green lines.

Very fresh local food and plentyfull. Every day something different. They also have free snacks tea and coffe available at all times

Good location for us in a good local location. Comfortable beds and quiet. Very helpful staff, all of them were excellent. Good local simple food restaurant opposite and restaurants and shops nearby.

- The ladies at the front are very nice and sweet. They helped us with many things, ex. calling us when the pick-up shuttle driver could not find us at the airport, playing with our son, bringing us towel and baby stuffs when they realised we have little kid staying with us, booking a shuttle to the airport, offering us water and snacks during our stay, and carried our bags to the shuttle van after we checked out and etc. How sweet they are!! - The hotel also surprised my mother with a birthday cake on her birthday!!! - The hotel provides bottles of water, tea., cofffee, and snacks for the guests every afternoon. And if you are hungry at late night, they have instant noodle cups for you at the front. Wowww!!! - Breakfast was also very good for us as we are Asian, so we quite love the eastern style breakfast here, for example, boiled rice with 3-4 stir-fried dishes. the hotel also changed the menu of the stir fried-dishes every morning, so the breakfast was not boring for us (who had stayed here for 4 nights) at all. The desserts, ex, cakes and cream roll, are also in good quality as if we are eating at some cafe. By the way, dont expect American Breakfast, its all about Asian style food with a few western style food, i.e., some breads and salad, but we are happy anyway. The 2 ladies at the bf restaurants are very nice too. They took good care of the guests during bf and loved playing with our son :D - The location is great!! Few mins walk to Shinkong Mitsugoshi Nanxi, Eslite Spectrum Nanxi, Zhongshan MTR. Around the hotel are restaurants, 7-11, Bakery cafe. - Travellers can also use Taiwan Lucky Land-accommodation voucher of 5000NTD here too.

- No chage of glasses in the bathroom during our 4-night stay. - we used some coffee cups and left them on the table since our 1st night, but no change of the cup until the last night that the new cups were provided. - The air condition is quite difficult to be adjusted. You need to stand right in front of the air condition and carefully use a remote control to change the temp. You should not stand somewhere else, otherwise the temp will not be changed. Besides, you should be sure that there is a sound of the air con working (very quite) because the remote control may still show that the air con is working, everthough it is actually on turn off mode.

Fantastic! great location, helpful staff.

The staff is exceptionally helpful and enthusiastic. For example, I needed to reserve bus tickets, which is ridiculously complicated, involving both online procedures and procedures at a kiosk in a Family Mart convenience store that far exceeded my limited Chinese reading ability. One of the men at the reception desk accompanied me to the local Family Mart and spent a lot of time figuring it out and purchasing the tickets. A pleasant surprise was the 24-hour self-serve laundry room in the building. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan MRT station, which is a good station if you want to use the MRT subway system. Taipei Main Station is within walking distance. The hotel provides unlimited bottled water, which is important in Taipei.

Everything from the staff to the location to the hotel itself was perfect! Highly recommended if you're planning a trip to Taipei.

I loved the outstanding friendly service (especially by Kim) and the spacious rooms that we had. The breakfast that was provided was also delicious and there was a great selection too!

I LOVE the staff. They were friendly And helpful, knowledgeable and has great self-initiative. We interacted with Kim, Amanda and Sean. They were wonderful. Ever polite, friendly and helpful. We also love the cleanliness, practical setup of this place. They are considerate of a traveler’s needs : namely the need for a friendly face, clean laundry, clean bed and sheets, a clean bathroom, hot shower and crisp towels! Cable TV was a bonus!

A tastier cup of coffee would be good. Warmer food in the buffet breakfast warm food section would be a bonus! Nonetheless, these are minor details.

Location and friendliness of the day staff.

The night staff was not as friendly.

This was one of my best hotel stay experiences so far. A special shoutout to Kim at the reception and the whole staff crew, definitely the best staff experience I've seen during my trips around the world. The breakfast was decent enough considering the normal standards of Taipei hotels. The location is awesome near the Zhongsan MRT station and many night life + shopping options nearby. I can highly recommend the larger room with balcony, offers really nice views of the nearby streets.

Maybe only the price could be a bit lower for the given rooms, but this of course depends a lot on the date you traveling. The breakfast could have a bit wider range of options, but for me it was already decent enough compared to my previous stays in Taipei.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The location was ideal for exploring the city and its surrounding areas, being close to Zhongshan MRT Station and central bus stations. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast catered well to Western tastes.

The hotel is perfectly situated. It's small but light and well designed, clean and comfortable. The staff are extraordinarily helpful (thank you Kim at the front desk) and welcoming. Exceeded expectations.

The hotel is conveniently located, a 5-minute walk from the metro station. The room was clean and spacious. My family had a great time staying at Dandy Hotel. Keep up the good work!

Our stay at the Dandy Hotel, Tianjin was fantastic. We had been traveling for a month and stayed at some grand hotels in Slovenia and Italy, but the award for 'Best Hotel of Our Trip' goes to Dandy, Tianjin. The hotel delivered way more than we expected right from the start. Mainly thanks to the wonderful staff, a big thanks to Caroline on the front desk. We ate at a different restaurant that Caroline recommended each night and they were all fantastic. Just local places, nothing fancy... but the food was awesome, we really enjoyed it. Also huge thanks to Kim who helped us endlessly, especially on our last day when it was raining. We filled the day nicely with her recommendations of places to visit on a wet day The Dandy kept showing these 'little kindnesses' to the guests... we had access to use the washing machine/laundry for free... there was 24hr tea and really nice coffee downstairs in the breakfast room, there were always little snacks to eat each afternoon and at night some quick noodles if you needed a snack. Oh... and the breakfasts... were fantastic! Each morning there was a different spread of hot and cold dishes to choose from... on the weekends they include dumplings. The breakfast was another highlight of our trip and the ladies who stand by keeping everything neat were also so very nice. All up, we had a wonderful four days in Taipei, overwhelmed at first, but with the help of the lovely staff we felt like we were getting to know the city by the end of our stay.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet wide selection of tasty mostly East Asian foods, limited selection Western foods. Self serve coffee machine. Free laundry available 24 hrs with detergent available. Excellent location in central Taipei, 5 minute walk to a major department store and Zhongshan MRT station. 15 minute walk to Ningxia Night market. Countless food choices within 10 minute walk. Bank with ATM around the corner. Rooms are spacious. Very clean. Spacious well lit bathroom as well. Small single elevator. May have to make multiple trips if you have a lot of luggage. Easy enough to take the stairs if no luggage though. Front desk can make taxi reservations for airport.

Excellent location, very central (5 minute walk to the Zhongshan Metro Station), quiet street, extremely friendly and helpful staff many of whom speak good English - thank you to Kim for all her helpful suggestions of where to go and what to see. Lovely breakfast, 24 hour free laundry facilities, comfortable room and bed. Great price and great stay.

There was nothing that we didn't like

I had a great stay at Dandy hotel. Access is very easy as the MRT station is very close by. Location is central, it allows a very quick access to all places / tourist attractions in Taipei. Staff were very friendly, even if the room wasn’t big, it was very clean and comfortable, and also very quiet. The hotel offers many amenities, such as a complimentary washing machine and dryer, which is great if you don’t want to bring too many clothes. Breakfast was good. I would come back for my next stay in Taipei.

Loved this hotel! Excellent location and such good value for money. The front desk staff were unbelievably helpful and even wrote me a lovely card when we left! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend...

Large room and bed, very quiet, good air-conditioning and very comprehensive buffet breakfast which was delicious. The staff are fantastic and couldn't be more helpful, they kept our luggage for the afternoon, once we had checked out.

There is a smell from a drain as you arrive, but this is all over Taipei and couldn't be detected inside the hotel at all.

Very clean and renewed structure with an optimal position in Taipei. The standard room is a bit small but still enough.

Customer service and facilities are just excellent with exception on WIFI. Staffs speak English even incredible is the staff who serves breakfast. She understands English well! Breakfast has very good options of main course, bread, salad, fruits, and desserts. Room is cleaned and stocked well with amenities. Exceptional customer service! I left some items and hotel staffs contacting me by email for safekeeping. Thank you so much for the hospitality :)

WIFI is rather slow.

Well maintained, convenient location , quiet street, room spacious, great shower, very comfortable bed, good breakfast. staff amazing! Snacks available 24/7. Kim at front desk helped us with planning, made great recommendations, and was meticulous about providing great instructions for directions with well marked maps. Good value!!

Kim from the frontdesk was amazing, very lovely, helpful and friendly. She provided us an itinerary for rainy days which was nice. We received a free upgrade to a room with bathtub. The room was 1 hour before check-in time ready. It was located at the end of the corridor and was quiet, no noise from the corridor or neighbors. It was very clean, the bathroom equipped with a Japanese toilet and linnen also. Beds are very comfortable (for European standards), size is about 160 x 200 cm and we loved the black out curtains. AC worked perfectly and quiet. Western and Asian breakfast available which is different every day, not too much choice but just enough. At the breakfast area you can get free snacks and tea/water throughout the day. Perfect location. About few minutes walking from the MTR station. Recommended!

We liked everything!

Great room size and handy to use the free washer and dryer. Easy access to microwave, toaster, and snacks throughout the day. Wi-Fi was stable and fast, even with an earthquake.

Breakfast was lackluster, but on par with other hotels in the area.

Staff was excellent. So kind, helpful in many ways. Location also great.

The carpet throughout the hotel was semi-questionable for me. Too big and soft - almost felt dirty, though I could tell they cared very much about cleanliness at the hotel otherwise.

Fabulous stay at Dandy hotel! The room was clean and modern, with great lighting (which we loved). Staff were really kind and friendly, and extremely accommodating - they truly made our stay special thanks to their warm generosity. Location is within walking distance to Taipei metro, convenience stores and Ningxia night market.

The staff at dandy hotel tainjin went over and above to make us feel welcome. We arrived very early and were able to store our luggage. The hotel was super clean, and although the room wasn't anything special, it had a good amount of space. We loved the diverse breakfast options, which included many vegetarian items, and the snacks provided each afternoon (cookies/crackers, juice/tea). Walked to the hotel from Taipei main mtr station, location is close to other metro stations. Would stay again most definitely!

There was some noise from moterbikes on the street at night that woke us up and we could also hear the door slammed close in the room next door.
