Ambience Hotel, Taipei

It was a wonderful stay with lots of small attentions that makes the difference. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really good and quite varied. (Choice of western and Asian options) I thought the bed was really comfortable (I slept like a baby), there was a small fridge and a water cooker in the room. It is next to a big road but it didn’t bother me. If you have problem maybe book a room not on the front or bring proper earplugs. I would definitely come back here.

The only small thing for me was the coffee at breakfast was not really good. Buy you can get amazing coffee or tea beverages all over the city for little money.

From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with smiles and offered complimentary refreshments available when reception overheard we were hungry. Reception recommended a great lunch place for us to try beef noodles and dumplings which was a few mins away. Room was comfy and spacious enough. Location was walking distance to MRT stations, bus stops and also Huashan 1914 Creative Park. There are always refreshments at Ground level if you feel peckish. After 9pm, they even provide cup noodles. Wow!

Wifi speed and stability is not ideal. No charging sockets on both sides of the bed. Layout of breakfast space can be better (tables are cramped together, coffee machine placement is awkward). a bit of a walk to the subway (but you know that ahead)

Everything was really good, enjoyed both nights there. Breakfast was tasty, and choice what you can have for breakfast is also good. The room was clean, and had all the comfort you need. I don't know what else to say... it basically was great for me.

Very helpfull and friendly staff. The room was quite large and the bed firm and enormous. Good breakfast choices (though the scrambled eggs were usually too cold) had a baby seat and even special baby plates bowls and cutlery for our 15 month old.

Location is good, but not ideal. You're a 15 min walk away from any subway station, which is doable. And you know that before you book (if you do any reseacrch) only other complaint was that on our last moring a tour group chexked in the day before so when we went down to breakfast we had to wait half an hour before a table became available, in fairness that was because we travelled with our 15 month old, and they just cant fit the babyseat at most tables. So we had to wait for specific ones to get free.

The room is nice and confortable. The hotel provides a lot of facilities, especialy the free laundry which is very useful. The breakfast is good, with a lot of choices. The hotel even provides free noodles every night. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Exceptional staff, Eva and Mei gave us the warmest welcomes and were generous with their time, they helped us with maps, directions, suggestions, and even surprised us with a birthday gift! Excellent breakfast at the hotel too!

OMG what an amazing hotel, 10 out 10. We arrived early from the Phillipines at 7am.they let us check in baggage and said we could have a free breakfast as we were kind guests.so nice.it was a home away from home.Thank you love this Hotel

The staff with Mrs Mai on the head was perfect. Confortable room with big bed good bathroom. Good and varied breakfast modern installation. Surround by restaurants and bars but peaceful for sleeping.

Staff was amazing. They treated us like family. Room was very large and very well equipped. We really appreciated the free use of a laundry room as just came from a 2?week cruise, before continuing our travels.Breakfast was excellent.

The room was comfortable and clean. The location is also nice because it's near Syntrend and the surrounding neighborhood was nice with lots of food spots. The metro station is around a 12 min walk from this hotel.

The front desk waa very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Free laundry ia available.

Noise. Rooms are not quite not good insulated though during our stay I was able to sleep. During breakfast the staff are very quick in cleaning up, I still was eating and came back my plate is gone; defeats the purpose of the card they give the guests to indicate if they are done eating. For the rest everything was good.

The service from the female front desk staff (particularly Mei) was excellent! The best we had encountered during our stay in Taiwan. The ladies were friendly and hospitable from the moment we stepped into the hotel. They remembered details about us and our plans, and made us feel like we weren’t just another number. We also appreciated the complimentary access to the in-house washing machine. Although we didn’t make use of it, we liked that the hotel had complimentary afternoon tea every day and complimentary instant noodles available every night. The food at the breakfast buffet was nice and we appreciated that it was different every day. The coffee/tea cups were stored in a cup warmer - that excellent attention to detail of having a warm cup available for coffee/tea is reflective of the fantastic hospitality we experienced during our time at Ambience.

The bed was very firm (too firm for us) but the ladies at the front desk were excellent in suggesting and organising a work around to make the bed softer. Would be better if the hotel had softer beds or at least, mattress toppers available. The hotel is about a 15 mins walk from the nearest MRT station which can get a bit annoying after a long and tiring day of walking.

Extremely comfortable room - spacious with lovely big bath and shower and very thoughtful design ( we had a corner room with bath). Staff were exceptional! Incredibly warm and extremely helpful! Breakfast was terrific! Excellent selection of daily changing hot vegetable and meat dishes, hot rice or noodle dish daily, dumplings, eggs, salad bar , and lovely selection of breads. Toaster and small oven available. Good coffee. Good location with metro 10 minutes walk away and a myriad of good restaurants within easy walking distance.

extremely friendly and courteous staff whom always made sure you feel welcome after a long day out exploring the city. This experience is consistent throughout my stay there and even my parents were impressed. Facilities were clean and the size of the room honestly is great for its price.

This was the best accommodation we had in Taiwan. The staff were excellent and the hotel provides heaps of nice touches such as some free minibar items, free breakfast, great variety of little snacks that are available during the day and night and also access to tea/coffee machine 24/7. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We couldn't fault it.

It was a bit further out from some of the touristy areas but still walkable.

Excellent hotel. Clean, spacious, close to metro, shopping, restaurants and many attractions. Has a luxury feel. Good breakfast. Friendly staff, waves 'hi' whenever you pass.

A lot of the hot food is not hot for breakfast. Suggest investing in better warming devices to keep food safe.

Very clean safe professional welcoming hotel. Staff were very attentive every day. Room was comfortable in size for a solo traveller and could have easily accommodated 2 guests. I loved being able to just wander around exploring local life and catch buses as I felt the need.

It's a bit over priced in comparison to others of similar quality in Taipei. The location was good for me but won't suit all Western tourists because it's not central or well connected with MRT - you need to be happy to walk a little and/or catch local buses.

Amazing staff and service. All day snack / drinks. After 9 it changes - there was sangria on the first night we stayed and oden the second night. Staff service was top notch. Nice selection for breakfast

Room is very clean and spacious with super friendly staff members. Breakfast spread was good and it's located near a lot of good eateries and is only a short walk to shopping area. Overall great value for money.

Breakfast was exceptional. Different dishes every morning. The mix of Asian and Western choices were perfect. Location was also very good and close to everything. The reception staff, especially "Mei" was excellent. Everybody was very helpful and friendly.

Perhaps a second washer and dryer would be even better.
