Location and view superb. Valet parking faultless. Breakfast was amazing. Wonderful selection. Very attentive staff.

I assumed I booked a room with 2 beds but on arrival the second bed was only a sofa bed and not at all comfortable. My sister had a very uncomfortable night. It really spoilt my wonderful experience. The only other negative was the cutlery ar breakfast. The knife is not very ergonomic. Quite difficult to use. I did ask the waiter and apparently a lot of people have thought the same.

It was lovely I have stayed many times I had a quick stop over in Sydney and chose this, nice and conveniently close to circular quay.

A delivery charge on room service for $10 for a hot chocolate ontop of the cost which usually hotels don’t have a delivery charge so I thought that was a bit ridiculous considering it’s made in the hotel and should be free for people staying to order… it’s more than some uber delivery fees.

Everything! Room & bathroom very large, bed incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean. Staff friendly & very helpful. Loved the happy hour, cocktails very reasonably priced. The pool & jacuzzi area very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was amazing, so much variety, delicious!

Absolutely nothing!

Our stay was truly exceptional. We stayed in a room with a spectacular 270-degree view that was simply breathtaking. Celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary, the hotel went above and beyond by welcoming us with a beautiful bed decoration, a personalized card, and a bottle of sparkling wine with fresh fruit. These gestures, combined with the unbeatable location in The Rocks, made our holiday incredibly special. It is definitely a place we would return to for special occasions.

As a minor point of improvement to achieve absolute excellence, we noticed a lack of thoroughness regarding the replacement of mugs by the housekeeping service. After we left them on the room service table (which we understand is a different department), the cleaning staff did not replace them. Despite leaving a note through the hotel’s room service app, we had to request them again later. These are small coordination details that, if refined, would make the experience flawless, though they did not overshadow our otherwise wonderful stay.

Shangri-La Sydney has always delighted me on every visit. I choose to spend my most special occasions in the Opera House area, and Shangri-La Sydney consistently makes my stays truly memorable. The complimentary touches always exceed my expectations and add something extra special to each experience. Please continue delighting your customers in the same wonderful way. I wish I had more days to stay

There were so many things I like about this property. The location was fabulous. Just minutes away from the Opera House and the bridge and marvelous little shops. Also, the public transportation central hub was less than a five minute walk. You could get everywhere easily. My room was great. I like the additional security features of needing your card in order to get the elevator to go to your floor. I enjoyed high tea while looking out of incredible views at the top floor. I used the room service after a long day and I have to say it was amazing. Not just the food but the presentation. I also partook in spa services which definitely need to be experienced. The best of all the staff, I did not meet one staff member who wasn’t pleasant that didn’t smile that didn’t want to make my stay even better.

We loved the property! Great location, lovely room (No 1) very clean and spacious, overlooking the nice pool, with distant sea views. Carol, the owner was very helpful and friendly. We also liked her little dog Louis, who was very cute! We would recommend staying here, only wish we could have stayed more than just one night.

Hot tub and pool were sub par in a grungy setting and not in any way welcoming or upscale, as I had expected having stayed at the Shangri La in Toronto.

the location was good, but i didn’t know the area was too steep. also the second floor receptionist at the chi spa, wasn’t really attentive to guests.

We got wrong answers on how long it would take to get to the airport (1- 2 hours by taxi and train) which made us skip the included breakfast. It was only when we got to the doorman who told us the actual time. We would have had time to enjoy breakfast before heading out had we received the right answer from the front desk staff.

Everything was perfect. I have discovered though that the price was considerably higher than at other dates. It has been suggested to me that this was because cruise ships were in port. However, we loved it so much, we will definitely come again, but keep an eye on the pricing

Hard to think what you could change. Right from check in the staff were unfailingly friendly, helpful and professional. The standard of cleanliness could not be better. We were extremely comfortable and the food at breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious

There is no place to smoke outside, no ashtray, people did not have where to leave ashes and butts

Hotel was very verbal to everything we wakey to do. The Room was lovely, comfortable, very clean and the view was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast there but it was lovely, and a lot of options available. We were offered the horizon club upgrade and it was well worth it.

The views !!! Wow…. The views from the Horizon Club on the 30th Floor are stunning !! The staff were all excellent, breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapés with drinks just wonderful.

The room was very large, beautifully decorated and the view is exquisite. The bathroom is massive with a huge bath. We has a king size bed that was very comfortable. Our favourite feature was the big window seat where we spent hours enjoying the view.

There is nothing I did not like.

My wife likes to stay in Shangri la hotels whenever possible. I see why. The service is always impeccable. We had a great stay in Sydney. The view from our room is nothing short of spectacular. Great location. Everything great. Will stay here again.
