Lcation and ambience - Boilerhouse restaurant - the Q beach wth its lounge chairs and the cafe on the wharf

Withoiut air-conditioning on a very very hot day, it was difficult to feel ok in the rooms

Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet. Shuttle service is great. Lovely to walk around and take in the history. Cafe on the beach was good. Great to sit and watch the harbour while having a coffee.

Tidy and easy to get around. Great views!

Cafe at wharf didn’t have enough food options.

The 24/7 shuttles, cleanliness of room, location, staff were friendly overall great stay wish it had a pool would have been 10 stars

Loved the location, history, authenticity, shuttle buses, friendly staff and nice breakfast.

Room was a bit stuffy, bush turkeys were a bit annoying, sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable and bath plug leaked

I like the history and the food

That the mini bar in the room had no water or refreshments only milk. After walking around ghost tour and bar was shut it was hot and needed a beverage. I suggest letting people know when the bar and restaurant closes and to bring one’s own refreshments upon booking so can be prepared. That’s my only suggestion.

I booked via a travel app and didn’t realise the bathroom area was outside the room. It was close, clean and I had a private bathroom within the bathroom block. I was just surprised by this detail of the stay.

It’s location, it’s history and very peaceful

Breakfast was at extra cost but was excellent value being a full buffet. Our room looked right down onto the private beach and out over the harbour. Spectacular. Shuttle bus to use on property. Guided tour of facility was great. We learnt a lot of history. Great wildlife- echidnas, brush turkeys, long nosed bandicoots.

Limited places to eat when we were there as restaurant only open Wed through to Sat. Only other option on site is a cafe with very limited choices.

Very quirky and had all the facilities. Very comfortable bed.

Only a small issue but did have a small problem with ants in the bathroom and kitchen.

We did not have breakfast, we had our own cereals! I think the patio could have been swept every day , as the chickens pooed there quite often, had to ask to be cleaned. The staff were excellent all very friendly and helpful. We had a takeaway one evening which was delivered to QSTATION then it was delivered to us by one of the staff, excellent service .

The restaurant we did not use as we thought it was a little bit expensive for us. Would have been nice to have had another choice for the evening. As above, the cleanliness of our side the rooms could have done with some TLC .out

Pristine location — spectacular views and beaches

Some staff drive the shuttle buses way too fast. They should stick to the speed limit like everyone else

Location was beautiful as were the walks around the property - & its history was fascinating.

We were given a room for a disabled person, while good not what we were expecting & we didn't get our water view.

We were drawn to to location and history of the former Quarantine Station. The location was stunning and onsite historical elements were informative.

The accommodations are showing signs of its age and in need of an update. We wish the ferry was operating off the jetty to enable a trip to the city.

We always love staying at QStation away from the hustle and bustle.

Black mould in bathroom, TV on wall thay does not face bed and no pivot hinge was unwatchable.

A unusual bathroom set up

Incredible location. Had a 3br cottage which was very spacious. Good kitchen. Lovely views. Car park available with cottage booking. Nice cafe on site. Great history and walks. Handy shuttle and public bus stop at the entrance. Large bathroom area, lovely towels with new ones provided each day.

Sometimes hard to contact reception for shuttle bus.

The History of the Quarantine Station was fascinating and much more than a hotel stay. The history tour guide was outstanding, and we would have loved to do a ghost tour but it was fully booked. The rooms were well equipped and had everything you needed with a fridge. Sitting on the veranda looking at the harbour was amazing. Quarantine beach was stunning and great coffee in the beachside cafe. We loved it!

It was ok for us as it was 23degrees, but I would say the rooms would be very hot on a summer’s day.

Unusual accommodation, cleverly designed and keeping the traditional and historical feel of the place. Amazing location.

Q Station is makes a perfect place to stay for events at The Barracks. The bushland setting is very peaceful with no cars allowed inside; the 24 hour shuttle service makes it easy to travel around the park. Comfortable beds.

We were initially given the incorrect key to an already occupied room. Luckily there was a member of staff nearby who arranged for us to be take by shuttle to our correct accommodation and the correct key.

Ghost tour with Jeff was amazing and the boiler room restaurant and wharf cafe were great. Station staff were very helpful

The room was a little bit stuffy but an understandable trade off for experiencing the heritage buildings first hand.

Breakfast was very good. Views from the property were good. The history tour was excellent.

Parking. You are not allowed to park on the premises even though there was plenty of land available to have a car park. We went out on the Saturday afternoon and came back and couldn’t get a parking spot as taken by the locals for an event in the afternoon. The shuttle bus was good but not as good as having your own car.

The staff, the beautiful location and facilities. The shuttle bus service is fabulous.

Air conditioning would be an added bonus.
