A lovely stay again. The meals at the Boilerhouse restaurant were fabulous.
Beautiful view over the Harbour near Manly.
The TV in our room was a bit erratic.

Pleasant
The room was comfortable. It was nice sitting on the balcony and surrounded by the natural landscape.
It's a bit far from anything. We don't mind walking and did walk in to Manly daily, there is a shuttle bus but we only used it once when leaving with suitcases. We would have liked snacks/ drinks in the mini bar or reception accessible later. There is a lack of natural light while trying to maintain privacy.

Pleasant and interesting
The breakfast was nice and the view is nice. I don’t think you need more than a night stay to explore tho. I took my snorkel and it was fun and calm To snorkel at quarantine beach . The dinner at Boiling House was delicious.
It’s quite expensive for what it is offered. Not even watching tv is for free . You have to pay to access tv from the room. The ghost tour was nice, spooky stories , but very expensive and there was no water ! No one told us to bring a waterbottle and we walk for 2 hours or more feeling so thirsty . Also no water in the room. Considering reception is so far and you can only go by one of their vans , I think that basics like water should be added to the room without additional cost.

Perfect relaxing place for a short getaway from Sydney.
Great location in a secluded part of North head. Perfect to relax, hike and enjoy the Manly lifestyle. The wharf beach is beautiful and free from waves. The Boiler house is an excellent diner. There is the recent add, and really excellent, Finnish sauna right next to the beach.
Due to the heritage nature of our building, the rooms were not sound proofed and the doors not very sturdy (pretty much like in the 1920's).

Mini adventure in history
History- you are staying in the buildings used in the 1800s as the ships arrived with passengers with contagious diseases on board. All the building had signs describing their previous use. Loved breakfast, loved the amazing views. Q shuttle works really well. Never needed to wait long to get to reception.
It was brilliant but if you are looking for luxury accommodation this isn't it. It is super comfortable and you can't beat the views.

It was quiet, pleasant and something different for my boys and I.
I enjoyed the history and uniqueness of the place. Easy to get around.
I didn’t like that there is really only one place to eat dinner, I found this to be quite expensive for a single mum with two boys. We did eat there once and it was lovely. But there needs to be food and variety to cater for different budgets. Life/ expenses are tight these days. A family pizza and drinks would be great, I would come back if the meals were to suite everyone’s budget thank god for Uber eats. Also, having a cashless places is crazy, when you have to get change for the laundry facilities.

Extraordinarily Beautiful Place to Stay
The location, location, location! The shuttle bus made it easy to get around the site. The history of the site. Such a beautiful place!
The rooms was very small and basic. I would recommend better coffee sachets and some complimentary biscuits would be good. Breakfast was average. This is a very difficult question as the quality of the rooms and facilities were quite disappointing BUT then the view was breathtaking.

We greatly enjoyed our stay and will certainly recommend to others
Helpful staff overcoming some difficulties we experienced Beautiful setting and interesting historic precinct Magnificent views to the harbour Shuttle service to Manly greatly appreciated
We appreciate that it’s difficult to strike a balance between the old and the new. For example, we’re the rooms originally fitted with fly wire doors? If so, they should be replicated. If not, they should be added( in keeping with the simple timber design of course, as this would greatly improve the comfort of guests by keeping mozzies, and turkeys etc and lessening the need for noisy fans. This would be expensive but a cost analysis should be undertaken. We were required to move rooms during our stay, due to an ongoing issue with a smoke alarm. The room we were relocated to had a massive drought coming in through a loose fitting door. Our impression ( one of us is an experienced maintenance carpenter) was that the general fabric requires more attention eg blocked and sagging gutters can only lead to deterioration of timber verandahs
