“History buffs and those in search of views and solitude will appreciate Q Station’s smartly refurbished rooms and historic cottages located inside a nook of the Sydney Harbour National Park in Manly. The grounds are dotted with historic buildings where guests can pass the time as quarantined migrants once did, playing billiards, table tennis or savoring the views of Sydney Harbour over cups of tea.”

Amazing will stay again to utilise everything on offer.

Amazing property amongst beautiful tranquil and historic surrounds.

Although the Boiler House food was delicious the service was terrible. We waited 45 mins for 2 glasses of wine and the bill which we asked for twice and had to go inside to pay for. It appeared the manager was doing the books inside while other staff were fumbling around without any direction. We gave up and went back to our room for drinks. Such a missed opportunity to make money. The singer was absolutely amazing though.

Gorgeous city break!

Q Station is an amazing location, the rooms are basic but thats not what you are there for. We went on a winters weekend and the weather was glorious - warm days and cold evenings / mornings but it was clear and we had amazing sunset and sunrises there.

Very good

Location amazing. Love that it has maintained the history of the area

The rooms can feel a little bit stuffy with no windows that can be opened and only a fan (no aircon)

Helpful staff, clean well presented rooms. Good breakfast served

The staff were very friendly. The van service to get around was handled quietly and efficiently. Everything was very clean and well presented.

The rooms had very thin walls and you could hear everything from adjoining rooms. I appreciate the age and build of the complex but this was the only thing I could fault.

What a discovery! A great way to become acquainted with Sydney and this areea of it as a tourist.

Quiet except on Saturday night noisy guests still at 10.30pm, but someone was sent by reception when I phoned to complain and that person good humouredly asked the people to 'keep it quiet and have a good night' -- that worked almost immediately -- thanks heaps! Verandah and chairs outside very nice facility. Bathroom excellent. Daily bed being made etc was a luxury -- thank you. Staff in the breakfast room were very amenable. Availability of reception staff in person or by phone. Being able to walk around the extensive grounds and signage and historical information attached to each building. Limited car access was great, and the public bus was very good. North Head itself, in total, was delightful, fascinating in history and nature rserve and views -- the lot!

Limited ventilation in the room, it was stuffy though the fan helped. (We kept the door open a bit at night with light curtain pulled closed). No effective (bright enough) reading lamp (apart from the bedside lamp) for early risers and late to bedders. A reading lamp on the desk would have been perfect! The breakfast was overpriced for us, and we'd rather not have the radio and TV on. Also one morning the breakfast room was cold, and it was cold outside.

So close to Sydney yet so far removed

Amazing location with amazing history . Rooms were neat and comfy with views over the harbour . We had intended to dine in and also dine in Manly but didn't leave the Q Station for 3 days - the dining options were great and varied . Such a great place to simply relax and watch Sydney from a distance . More of an experience than just accommodation

Loved the whole experience

Beautiful location and views, really friendly staff, rich history, simple comforts.

We loved the location, we had tickets to see Amy Shark at the Barrack's so it was so easy to check-in, get a shuttle back to reception, but then they offered to drop us straight to the concert - such incredible service!

We had only planned to stay one night, but I wish we had stayed longer! There are a few restaurants and cafes on the site that we would've loved to try!

My sister and I came away after 2 nights, feeling more relaxed than we had in a very long time.

P1 room 3. Location was beautiful and a walk from the concert at Barracks precinct. Friendly staff, regular bus shuttle, bed, beach,

The power point at fridge was loose and the iron made it spark and the iron kept turning off at the point. The ceiling fan in the bathroom did not work nor did the telephone to call for a shuttle bus; red light was flashing all the time. I am concerned about the electricity maintenance, as the buildings are old and wood and need electricity upkeep at a premium.

Loved it. Often stay here and will be back.

Location. Fabulous outlook. Unique property. Beautiful Comfortable Luxurious Rooms. Facilities - great restaurant, cafe, beach and sauna.

Our in-room phone didn’t work. Queues for shuttle and no idea when next one coming so ended up walking in the dark. Cheap Nescafé coffee in room. Pleased we ate breakfast early as they were running short of eggs as we left around 8:30am.

The staff were extremely accommodating and very committed to ensuring you enjoyed your stay. The boiler house kitchen & bar was excellent in both quality of food & service.

The sofa bed - the mattress is so thin you can feel every support spring & bar

A beautiful location, with a quiet location, embedded in bushland with very friendly staff.

The view was amazing, a really nice area. Very quiet, in bushland right next to Manly. The shuttle bus service was excellent in terms of moving you around the station during we weather.

The room was a little cold. The cooked eggs breakfast at the Q-Station Wharf was terrible - very cold and poorly made.

Always a pleasure to stay in this historic property, had a fabulous family time.

Room size was large enough for 3 people and it was great having the sauna back on the wharf. We enjoyed a sunrise sauna and dip in the water, what a great way to start the day 😎 Staff were very responsive to requests when things were required for the room, e.g. extra towels.

Sofa bed was not made up on arrival, only 2 cups for a room that was booked for 3 people but this was a minor inconvenience . Ants in the bathroom.

Excellent must-stay location

The Settlers Cottage was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). The location was fabulous - 5 min drive to Manly and outstanding views of the harbour from our windows. The cottage was well furnished, heating in each room kept us warm in winter and the kitchen had a dishwasher and ample cooking equipment so we could make some meals ourselves. Couches and beds were also really comfortable. The shuttle bus is a great convenience if dining at the restaurant. Q Station is a historical site with a museum and lots of historical buildings - totally worth it to stay here to be able to see this brilliant and beautiful place! Restaurant is expensive but delicious. It’s a 2 or 3 course for a set price so we didn’t take our kids!

The shuttle bus only runs into Manly Fri-Sun so after a long day of sightseeing Sydney on public transport on Thursday, it would have been amazing to be able to get the shuttle back from Manly instead of trying to find the public bus stop in the dark. It would be awesome if the shuttle could be booked during week days.

Amazing location in terms of the views, grounds and the historical value. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Room was comfortable, warm and clean.

Nothing against Q Station, but Taxi service to Manly not reliable even though reception booked for us ahead of time.
