Beautiful room and decor throughout, happy friendly staff, good communication before, during and after my stay. Located very close to the train station and very easy to get to where I wanted to go.

We were on the top floor and the stairs were a lot to get up with bags. Especially when we had to make a couple of trips. A fan in the room would have been nice also.

One of my best stays in a hotel in a long time. Staff are so so friendly and nothing is a bother. Felt like home away from home.

The staff were just exceptional. They were incredibly invested in making sure our experience was exceptional. The room is amazing, the amenities are so thoughtful. Love love the easy check in and check out, such less hassle. We felt just so cared for.

Wonderful to stay in such a gracious and elegant Victorian terrace , beautifully appointed, and with attention to every detail. The welcome and personalised service was second to none.

The staff were so welcoming, accomodating and pleasant. The rooms (and entire hotel) were very clean, spacious and well presented! The location was very close to King’s Cross train station which was very convenient.

I will preface this by saying we didn’t research the hotel well before booking. The breakfast is not a buffet breakfast, when you pay through booking.com you’re entitled to one item from the menu (most range from $20-$24) and one drink. The quality of the food was great but probably not what we expected being that it wasn’t a buffet. Parking is an additional $40 per night (which is very common and expected in Sydney but we didn’t see that on booking.com before booking). Overall, we would absolutely stay again, just providing a little more info for people considering booking.

Our room and bathroom were lovely, and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. When our flight home was delayed for most of a day, they stored our luggage as long as needed, and later plied us with delicious hors d'oeuvres as we waited in the lounge for our taxi.

Like so many hotel rooms these days, our room was too bright at night thanks to all the fixtures (TV, clock, smoke alarm, etc.) with always-lit sensors. This made it hard to sleep without wearing a mask.

The staff made it possible for us to check in early (our flight arrived at 7am). Breakfast was delicious. Terrific neighborhood location with easy access to transit. Quiet room and comfortable bed.

The non closing bathroom door. Apparently it’s a NSW rule, but the sliding bathroom door did not close fully, HORRID experience when sharing with a friend, no one wants to be heard having a pee or a poo Sadly spoilt my stay…. I want them to fix this so I can return

The room was spacious and well appointed. The senses were well catered for with lovely art work, soothing aromas and good temperature control. Everything was very clean and breakfast was tasty. It was quiet and tranquil.

The entire staff are incredibly attentive to their guests and make their comfort and enjoyment their utmost priority. When my long-haul international flight was cancelled they went over and above to help me get through to the airline and calm my tattered nerves. Breakfast was the best I've had in a long time. Really happy with our stay at Spicers. Loved that it was in the city but felt out of the way with the lovely tree lined streets. Close to great cafes like Thai Power and Tuyos. Walking distance to grocery stores, Kings Cross station and Royal Botanical Gardens. The hotel does have stairs but they insisted on bringing our bags up so that was nice. The handcrafted welcome drink was lovely and the cupcakes in the room were delicious. Comfy bed and pillows, big screen tv. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I had a room at the back.

The hotel is located in a fabulous tree lined street and easy walking distance to the town centre. It is also walking distance to the harbour and there is a park close by too. Very nice neighbourhood. The room was out of this world - so comfortable and clean and well equipped, I wished I was staying longer. The wifi signal was excellent and the room quiet and relaxing. The building was almost from a bygone era and everywhere was well maintained and beautifully decorated.

The only problem was when I first arrived, even though I had said what time I would be arriving, I couldn't find anyone to check me in. Eventually someone came out of the kitchen I had already looked in and he went and found someone to help me. From then on in, it was great and they couldn't do enough for me and were very accommodating including holding my luggage until I came back to collect it.

No smart TV? No full length mirror in the room?? A larger, central foyer and lounge area would be good

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and in a lovely quiet location close to the centre and attractions. The room was stunning extremely clean and had everything you would need and more. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help and assist. Breakfast was delicious and the best we have had on our multi cenfre trip. We felt totally chilled here and wished we had stayed longer but will definitely return.

Quality of bed was superb, fixtures and fittings all good quality. Breakfast was fabulous for limited choice Location is good for transport into Circular Quay. Very easy pleasant walk to the quay via Botanical gardens. Staff were very friendly and always helpful.

It would be good to have a shower for an early arrival, after long flights (when room not made up). A wash room is available

The Breakfast was ok, but you should be able to self serve the none hot breakfast. Coffee should be a pot instead of a cup at the time.

The room was beautiful and really clean. The location is central to restaurants, Sydney CBD and other attractions. We used the room for a wedding and with the classic style of the room photos turned out amazing.

Excellent friendly staff. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious, and bed super comfy. We liked the location, with several good restaurants a short walk away, along quiet leafy streets. (Especially the restaurant across the road from the hotel, with the amazing city view!). We really liked how this hotel was decorated and presented. With less rooms than the other big hotels in the city, we hardly even saw other guests. We'd choose to stay here again, next time we are in Sydney.
