Harbour Marriott Hotel, Sydney

We missed out on breakfast as we had to be at the Bridge climb early. We enjoyed the complimentary ice cream and drinks on check in. Food portions for the children were good in the restaurant.

We did find our room had a strong smell of bleach on entering. We were not pleased that the hotel and booking.com had not confirmed our pre payment.

The location is fantastic. We had a room with a view of the Opera House.

Housekeeping did a poor job of cleaning the rooms.

All the staff from Yang the manager F&b manager Savio and the best concierge service by far from Luis and Kwan all amazing same dna in terms of service and friendliness. Check in could have been handled smoother but nothing that can be trained.

I had a great overnight stay at Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel. The Opera House view was stunning, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional. Excellent location and a true five-star experience. I would happily stay again.

No laundry amenities (Yes, for single items). But I’m talking if I need to do a load of laundry it would have been nice to have handled it in the hotel.

A few minor irritants; I found the choice of music and the volume in public areas an annoyance. While breakfast offered a very wide choice, bread quality was poor, fresh fruits had little taste. Poor drainage from shower base.

room was excellent exactly where I wanted it, with views of the harbour, hotel is very close to the light rail at circular quay just a very short walk, with plenty of shops in the area for meals.

no bedside clock/radio, the light switch near entry was for all the lights, maybe a single light at entry would be good or 2 switches. the peep hole in back of door is always too high, I can't reach it even on tiptoes.

Fantastic location and the room was lovely. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and most accommodating. The options at breakfast were plentiful and the room service dinner we ordered from the onsite restaurant was lovely.

The pool temp was a bit cold to enjoy a swim.

The location is perfect for everything you want to do in the middle of Sydney and getting to other famous locations. Any easy travel to some great bars etc. the hotel itself is lovely, staff (including the cleaners and buffet staff need a special mention) wonderful but the rooms are getting a little tired.

We all found the A/C didn't seem to work that well in both the rooms we had and in the middle of the night got quite stuffy and hot. For a nice hotel I expected a cup/mug and saucer and real milk. there was no where to put your dirty spoon or little milks. the towels were singles and for a tall husband they were like a postage stamp. I think for a great hotel chain, a little more attention to the details would be good.

Super friendly welcoming staff. Was greeted getting out of the car as the door was opened for me. Wine on arrival, children got a little activity pack. They loaded our bags from the car onto a trolley and took them to our room. Central location to where we needed to be. Nice view. Modern spacious room. Loved the large variety of food at the buffet breakfast every morning. Will definitely be back on our next Sydney trip!
