Harbour Marriott Hotel, Sydney

Drinks on arrival and caring staff all the way through from reception to printing some paperwork to getting a few extra pillows. So fast and efficient. The leadership should be proud of the culture they are creating.

The hotel is 5 to 10 min walk to the port terminal, circular quay trains, opera house and proximity to the city center. Our room was available early, breakfast buffet was with lots of varieties. I didnt appreciate the lack of international news on TV.

The breakfast was great. It had lots of variety and catered to different tastes. The service was also excellent.

Room and view were excellent. Location was very good. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Check out was very fast. There were four clerks there to help us early in the morning.

The staff were kind and so helpful. Each and every person we interacted with were amazing. A special thanks to the team for getting my daughter a little koala for her birthday. It was such a sweet gesture and very unexpected! Loved the high quality restaurant and the breakfast, we loved it all!

Great location, comfortable and clean, had to ask every day for coffee and bottled water to be replenished, and on one day for toilet paper. Expect better service for cost of hotel stay. Staff in bar and restaurant were very slow and inexperienced. After departure received a bill for an adapter plug, which I didn’t have and took exception to,

I've stayed in better rooms for less money,but stayed there for the location to the bridge climb.The staff were great and very helpful.

Location in Circular Quay is fantastic, close to train, tram and ferry. The bars and restaurant to have a drink or meal and to meet up with our family made our stay exceptional. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Room was comfortable and clean, had a great view of the Opera House and the bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast had good selection of food and we enjoyed the room service food.

The breakfast was great. The location was excellent.

The dirty area outside the shower glass next to the toilet. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a year. The pull rod for the drape did not function due to missing a hook on the drape. The bell man was over aggressive with my partner insisting on storing and delivering our luggage even though when i checked in our room was available.

They had early courtesy facilities to take a shower and get snacks (tea coffee) until your room was ready. You could also store your luggage and go out until your room was ready. That was nice

We have stayed at the excellent Sydney Harbour Marriott a number times during our visits from the UK. It's location is ideal for visiting Circular Quay and it's iconic Bridge , Opera House. and excellent ferries..A bonus is the excellent and extremely good value restaurants,plus it's first class staff.

Great location close to the main city attractions and excellent public transport connections. Room was big enough with comfortable beds. Fridge in the room was nice add-on for us.

Breakfast policy is rather unusual. With reservation for 2+2 (2 adults and 2 children) with breakfast included it is indeed included but only for 2. We had to pay extra for children. I would expect clear information. So either breakfast is included for all guest or it is not included at all. Partial breakfast doesn't make any sense. Swimming pool area was rather small and temperature was rather cold for this area. Saunas are getting old and I guess you can find much better ones in the area.

The location is perfect just around the corner from my client's office. The staff were amazing and went way and above what they needed to do. They really made me feel very important like a VIP patron considering this is the first time in about 4 years since I have stayed here.

The hotel is exceptionally well maintained with a number of restaurants to and bar to have a meal or cocktail after a long day. The staff is outstanding and the rooms are very well maintained and comfortable. The location is perfect for accessing the harbor, opera house and ferries.

The main restaurant was closed for renovation for the first few days of our stay. A minor inconvenience,but I would have greatly appreciated being informed at the time of booking.

It’s proximity to restaurants & bars. The Rocks area, obviously as Name suggests close to Circular Key! Transport links….tram, train, ferry just a short walk from the Hotel. The entrance lobby and adjoining restaurant & bar have an attractive decor. The staff were all so pleasant & attentive. Breakfast was delicious, so many choices on offer at the buffet. Our room was on the 28th floor with a view of Sydney Harbour Bridge…..amazing!! Thankyou!

The only slight downside was that our room was booked for 3 persons….& could accommodate up to 4 persons, but only 2 bathrobes & 2 pair of slippers were available.

The main dining room was down the whole time we were there so we were left to eat bar food if we wanted to eat at the hotel

The check in and check out was fast. The location is within easy walking distance to the Cruise Ship Terminal

The price was high, probably hiked up for the cruise ship crowd. Also, they wanted $50 Australian per person for the breakfast.

We were able to check in early as our room was ready. The extra treats at the reception desk each day was a nice treat

As the property is getting a little dated the bathrooms could be cleaner

The staff was incredible. Attentive and courteous, they were the true stars. From anticipating my needs, to doing their best (and following through) in helping me to check into my room quickly as I had a business event to rush to, and also had my luggage already sent up. It's all the little details that mattered when the magic "just happened" which we knew was always the staff behind the brand that made it all look so easy. I especially want to thank Daniel at reception. He handled everything so professionally and promptly. All paperwork was done proficiently as he encouraged me to enjoy two complimentary drinks at the lounge while they prepared my room. After a long flight, you couldn't ask for better.

The whole building including facilities, lifts, and the room's finishing are looking quite tired. To be fair, it's maintained cleanly. Compared with others in its category, the Marriott would need to consider perhaps it's time for a change.

Indeed, this is an excellent location and the facility overall is beautiful. The entire experience was lovely. We stayed for a few days before heading out for a land tour/cruise through AU and NZ. The hotel is within walking distance to George St. Market, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanical Gardens, Hyde Park & memorial, Lord Nelson's Hotel & Brewery, The Tower Eye, mall close by, wharf's for cruise lines, and eateries, pubs, museums, etc. We got to all the locations, except for the museums. No need for transport unless you absolutely need a taxi. Hotel restaurant was fine, but limited on staffing while we were there. Guest services (impeccable staff) can exchange U.S. into AUD, but limits $100 daily, which was fine for us...they had a good exchange rate too. Concierge services are outstanding and so helpful! Top-notch prompt and courteous staff throughout our stay. It certainly was a pleasure to stay at an impeccable hotel with staff who exceed in hotel etiquette, professionalism, courtesy, and who are so pleasant to chat with! For our room, it was lovely, but the only view was the other high-risers which is normal in the Central Business District (CFB). Our friends got a higher floor and had a partial view and they had a separate bedroom and small kitchenette, which was nice.

It is a very busy, busy hotel. Spend the extra money to get a higher end room and enjoy the benefits of going to the second floor breakfast area if you qualify, which is not available to all guests. We couldn't use it as we booked a lower end room and weren't Marriott members, but our friends shared it was very nice. They use Marriott frequently so they got the perks.
