Super convenient location and delightful neighbourhood - wonderful restaurants

Michelle at the registration desk was exceptional. Very helpful of agttraoff the veateb track and transportation advice. All staff very cordial and friendly

Excellent location, good breakfast. Comfortable bed.

The shower products had a very strong fragrance, might not suit everyone. Lighting in the room might have been an issue during darker half of the year.

We were tickled by nearly everything about this hotel. We booked a balcony room overlooking the park across the street, and it was great. The room was wonderfully comfortable, and we're still talking about the breakfasts. The staff were always friendly and helpful. And the neighborhood of Södermalm around the hotel is very lively and comfortable. We actually stayed here twice. We had booked in sight unseen for our first weekend in Stockholm and another hotel for our second weekend. We ended up canceling the second hotel and rebooking at Rival for our second weekend.

The internet was a bit pokey in our room, but serviceable. In any event, one of the wonderful people at the front desk set me up in a conference room so I could participate in a Zoom call.

Amazing staff. Very attentive to detail

Outstanding hotel, with almost every little detail thought about in...especially lots of storage and wall hooks, which so many hotels seem to forget about. Our room was stylish, comfortable and the shower in particular was fabulous. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the front desk staff were exceptionally professional and friendly...especially the lovely lady that checked us in. This hotel will be our first choice whenever we are back in Stockholm.

Other than the breakfast offerings not being quite to our taste and the breakfast staff being a little hit and miss (some friendly and attentive, others not so much), we struggled to find fault with this hotel.

Tea and coffee facilities in the room there was a machine on the 4th floor but I would have preferred it in my room.

Breakfast was great as there was a good selection of healthy options plus sweet treats. You could order from a menu as well as help yourself at the buffet. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were always ready to help with a smile.

We loved staying at hotel Rival as all the staff were polite, we had coffee biscuits fruit near our bedroom which came in handy . There were restaurants and bars in the hotel and so much do nearby too. We would definitely stay again I couldn’t fault anything

This was the great hotel in a central location in Stockholm. We could walk to all major attractions. Room was quirky and beds super comfortable. Breakfast was incredible. Best we had from everywhere we went on our trip.

they need to change their carpet. There is so much coffee and other crap spilled on their carpet it makes your feel like you are walking in to a cheap dodgy hotel when you get out of the lift. This definitely drags down the feel of what is otherwise a really top hotel.

Everything about our stay!

In a neighbourhood where you get to eat in restaurants and pubs with local residents (others might prefer to be on more touristy strips on waterside). Easy to get to from airport and train stations. Excellent breakfast room. Clean Scandi design of room.

I loved everything about this hotel! Location, room, bed, pillows!!!!! The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff was extremely helpful. Would return in a heartbeat!

The bed was super comfy, the location was great, staff were helpful and friendly. We booked bikes through the hotel and they told us where to book kayaks. We had a great time and everything was so easy!

Breakfast was fantastic. Location was close to metro and within walking distance of old city. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

We booked the wheelchair-accessible room, which was quite spacious, very clean and we even had a small balcony. The bathroom was large with a roll-in-shower and an accessible vanity. The door of the room had an automated door opener, which makes it a lot easier to use. The breakfast was very delicious, we loved the opportunity to have a buffet and on top of that some additional meals that are prepared on request. The staff in the hotel (e.g. reception, breakfast) was always extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a very nice neighbourhood with a park directly in front, a metro station just a few minutes walk away, and some convenient stores very close nearby.

A smart TV to connect would be nice to have.

The best breakfast we had in Scandinavia! Hotel is a bit expensive but in a lovely square close to everything.

The Rival Hotel exceeded our expectations, we highly recommend both it and its adjacent neighbourhood as a Stockholm destination.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, location excellent, decor lovely and rooms really spacious and comfortable, I am happy to recommend the hotel and will stay there again on my next visit

The staff were extremely friendly and amenable. The hotel was in a great location and the breakfast was exceptional. The room had all the little details for extra comfort - including a pillow menu!

Everything but especially the staff. We received the warmest of welcomes and excellent service throughout our stay. Rooms were beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds. Breakfasts were superb.

Hotel Rival was a very good value with larger than expected and very quiet rooms, super comfortable beds (with a pillow menu), great water pressure in the shower, and a breakfast buffet with a good selection, plus hot items you can order (omelets, pancakes, avocado toast, etc.).

Lighting in the bathroom was a bit bewildering.

We loved the location (in "hipster" Sődermal,, within easy reach of all attractions and with ice restaurants). The breakfast buffet was outstanding::great selection, ability to order additional items (eg pancakes, avocado smash with poached egg), which was open until noon. There were nice touches like free coffee and cookies on the 4th floor. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location is close to many destinations, such as, the old town, the ABBA, Vasa, and Viking museums, and Skansen, as well as others. An excellent breakfast is provided, and our room was clean and spacious. At check in, Richard went above and beyond his way to help us with anything we needed.

Great location close to bars, restaurants and cafes and easy access to public transport. Great breakfast and hotel bar - cocktails particularly good! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Perfect base for a weekend in Stockholm.

Beds were a little uncomfortable.

Great location and area is safe . Booked in by Michelle who was warm friendly and informative about trips and travel . She answered all our questions and gave good advice on taxis and archipelago trips . All staff in the reception bar and restaurant were helpful and engaging throughout our stay . Rooms comfortable and well equipped although the cupboard/wardrobe for clothes was limited for space . A lovely stay and next time we will stay longer

Loved the quirky vibe of the hotel, the room was very spacious, great light and view, liked that breakfast was available until 12pm.

Enjoyed the breakfast and selection including ala carte menu. Hotel bar was very nice.

Bistro menu did not seem to include traditional Swedish dishes which would have been nice.

Second stay here and we remembered the breakfast from 6 years ago being really good. Te breakfast this time was equally good. The staff in the breakfast room are really helpful and you only need ask for help with any aspect of your meal - such as them making you a cappuccino !
